9 以色列人出埃及地以後，第二年正月，耶和華在西奈的曠野吩咐摩西說： 2 「以色列人應當在所定的日期守逾越節， 3 就是本月十四日黃昏的時候，你們要在所定的日期守這節，要按這節的律例、典章而守。」 4 於是摩西吩咐以色列人守逾越節。 5 他們就在西奈的曠野，正月十四日黃昏的時候，守逾越節。凡耶和華所吩咐摩西的，以色列人都照樣行了。 6 有幾個人因死屍而不潔淨，不能在那日守逾越節。當日他們到摩西、亞倫面前， 7 說：「我們雖因死屍而不潔淨，為何被阻止，不得同以色列人在所定的日期獻耶和華的供物呢？」 8 摩西對他們說：「你們暫且等候，我可以去聽耶和華指著你們是怎樣吩咐的。」
9 耶和華對摩西說： 10 「你曉諭以色列人說：你們和你們後代中，若有人因死屍而不潔淨，或在遠方行路，還要向耶和華守逾越節。 11 他們要在二月十四日黃昏的時候守逾越節，要用無酵餅與苦菜和逾越節的羊羔同吃。 12 一點不可留到早晨，羊羔的骨頭一根也不可折斷。他們要照逾越節的一切律例而守。 13 那潔淨而不行路的人若推辭不守逾越節，那人要從民中剪除，因為他在所定的日期不獻耶和華的供物，應該擔當他的罪。 14 若有外人寄居在你們中間，願意向耶和華守逾越節，他要照逾越節的律例、典章行，不管是寄居的，是本地人，同歸一例。」
雲遮會幕
15 立起帳幕的那日，有雲彩遮蓋帳幕，就是法櫃的帳幕。從晚上到早晨，雲彩在其上，形狀如火。 16 常是這樣，雲彩遮蓋帳幕，夜間形狀如火。 17 雲彩幾時從帳幕收上去，以色列人就幾時起行。雲彩在哪裡停住，以色列人就在哪裡安營。 18 以色列人遵耶和華的吩咐起行，也遵耶和華的吩咐安營。雲彩在帳幕上停住幾時，他們就住營幾時。 19 雲彩在帳幕上停留許多日子，以色列人就守耶和華所吩咐的不起行。 20 有時雲彩在帳幕上幾天，他們就照耶和華的吩咐住營，也照耶和華的吩咐起行。 21 有時從晚上到早晨有這雲彩在帳幕上，早晨雲彩收上去，他們就起行。有時晝夜雲彩停在帳幕上，收上去的時候，他們就起行。 22 雲彩停留在帳幕上，無論是兩天，是一月，是一年，以色列人就住營不起行，但雲彩收上去，他們就起行。 23 他們遵耶和華的吩咐安營，也遵耶和華的吩咐起行。他們守耶和華所吩咐的，都是憑耶和華吩咐摩西的。

The Passover
9 The Lord spoke to Moses in the Desert of Sinai in the first month(A) of the second year after they came out of Egypt.(B) He said, 2 “Have the Israelites celebrate the Passover(C) at the appointed time.(D) 3 Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month,(E) in accordance with all its rules and regulations.(F)”
4 So Moses told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover,(G) 5 and they did so in the Desert of Sinai(H) at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.(I) The Israelites did everything just as the Lord commanded Moses.(J)
6 But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean(K) on account of a dead body.(L) So they came to Moses and Aaron(M) that same day 7 and said to Moses, “We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the Lord’s offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?(N)”
8 Moses answered them, “Wait until I find out what the Lord commands concerning you.”(O)
9 Then the Lord said to Moses, 10 “Tell the Israelites: ‘When any of you or your descendants are unclean because of a dead body(P) or are away on a journey, they are still to celebrate(Q) the Lord’s Passover, 11 but they are to do it on the fourteenth day of the second month(R) at twilight. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.(S) 12 They must not leave any of it till morning(T) or break any of its bones.(U) When they celebrate the Passover, they must follow all the regulations.(V) 13 But if anyone who is ceremonially clean and not on a journey fails to celebrate the Passover, they must be cut off from their people(W) for not presenting the Lord’s offering at the appointed time. They will bear the consequences of their sin.
14 “‘A foreigner(X) residing among you is also to celebrate the Lord’s Passover in accordance with its rules and regulations. You must have the same regulations for both the foreigner and the native-born.’”
The Cloud Above the Tabernacle
15 On the day the tabernacle, the tent of the covenant law,(Y) was set up,(Z) the cloud(AA) covered it. From evening till morning the cloud above the tabernacle looked like fire.(AB) 16 That is how it continued to be; the cloud covered it, and at night it looked like fire.(AC) 17 Whenever the cloud lifted from above the tent, the Israelites set out;(AD) wherever the cloud settled, the Israelites encamped.(AE) 18 At the Lord’s command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained(AF) in camp. 19 When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the Lord’s order(AG) and did not set out.(AH) 20 Sometimes the cloud was over the tabernacle only a few days; at the Lord’s command they would encamp, and then at his command they would set out. 21 Sometimes the cloud stayed only from evening till morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they set out. Whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud lifted, they set out. 22 Whether the cloud stayed over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a year, the Israelites would remain in camp and not set out; but when it lifted, they would set out. 23 At the Lord’s command they encamped, and at the Lord’s command they set out. They obeyed the Lord’s order, in accordance with his command through Moses.

The Second Passover(A)
9 Now the Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying: 2 “Let the children of Israel keep (B)the Passover at its appointed (C)time. 3 On the fourteenth day of this month, [a]at twilight, you shall [b]keep it at its appointed time. According to all its [c]rites and ceremonies you shall keep it.” 4 So Moses told the children of Israel that they should keep the Passover. 5 And (D)they kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month, at twilight, in the Wilderness of Sinai; according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did.
6 Now there were certain men who were (E)defiled by a human corpse, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day; (F)and they came before Moses and Aaron that day. 7 And those men said to him, “We became defiled by a human corpse. Why are we kept from presenting the offering of the Lord at its appointed time among the children of Israel?”
8 And Moses said to them, “Stand still, that (G)I may hear what the Lord will command concerning you.”
9 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 10 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If anyone of you or your [d]posterity is unclean because of a corpse, or is far away on a journey, he may still keep the Lord’s Passover. 11 On (H)the fourteenth day of the second month, at twilight, they may keep it. They shall (I)eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. 12 (J)They shall leave none of it until morning, (K)nor break one of its bones. (L)According to all the [e]ordinances of the Passover they shall keep it. 13 But the man who is clean and is not on a journey, and ceases to keep the Passover, that same person (M)shall be cut off from among his people, because he (N)did not bring the offering of the Lord at its appointed time; that man shall (O)bear his sin.
14 ‘And if a stranger [f]dwells among you, and would keep the Lord’s Passover, he must do so according to the rite of the Passover and according to its ceremony; (P)you shall have one [g]ordinance, both for the stranger and the native of the land.’ ”
The Cloud and the Fire(Q)
15 Now (R)on the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud (S)covered the tabernacle, the tent of the Testimony; (T)from evening until morning it was above the tabernacle like the appearance of fire. 16 So it was always: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. 17 Whenever the cloud (U)was [h]taken up from above the tabernacle, after that the children of Israel would journey; and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would pitch their tents. 18 At the [i]command of the Lord the children of Israel would journey, and at the command of the Lord they would camp; (V)as long as the cloud stayed above the tabernacle they remained encamped. 19 Even when the cloud continued long, many days above the tabernacle, the children of Israel (W)kept the charge of the Lord and did not journey. 20 So it was, when the cloud was above the tabernacle a few days: according to the command of the Lord they would remain encamped, and according to the command of the Lord they would journey. 21 So it was, when the cloud remained only from evening until morning: when the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they would journey; whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud was taken up, they would journey. 22 Whether it was two days, a month, or a year that the cloud remained above the tabernacle, the children of Israel (X)would remain encamped and not journey; but when it was taken up, they would journey. 23 At the command of the Lord they remained encamped, and at the command of the Lord they journeyed; they (Y)kept the charge of the Lord, at the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

La Pascua
9 El Señor se dirigió a Moisés en el desierto de Sinaí, en el segundo año después de la salida de Egipto, en el mes primero del año, y le dijo:
2 — Que los israelitas celebren la Pascua a su tiempo. 3 La celebrarán ustedes a su debido tiempo el décimo cuarto día de este mes, al anochecer, ajustándose a todos sus ritos y costumbres.
4 Mandó, pues, Moisés a los israelitas que celebraran la Pascua; 5 y así lo hicieron ellos el día catorce del primer mes, al anochecer, en el desierto de Sinaí. Tal como el Señor había mandado a Moisés, así procedieron los israelitas. 6 Pero hubo algunos que estaban impuros por haber tocado un cadáver, y no pudieron celebrar la Pascua aquel día. Los afectados se presentaron aquel mismo día a Moisés y a Aarón 7 y les dijeron:
— Es verdad que nosotros estamos impuros por haber tocado un cadáver, pero ¿por qué se nos va a privar de presentar la ofrenda al Señor a su tiempo como los demás israelitas?
8 Moisés les respondió:
— Esperen y déjenme conocer lo que dispone el Señor acerca de ustedes.
9 Y el Señor dijo a Moisés:
10 — Dirígete a los israelitas y diles: Cuando alguno de ustedes o de sus descendientes esté impuro por haber tocado un cadáver o se encuentre lejos haciendo un viaje, si quiere celebrar la Pascua en honor del Señor, 11 la celebrará el día catorce del segundo mes, al anochecer. La comerán con panes sin levadura y hierbas amargas; 12 no dejarán nada del animal sacrificado para el día siguiente ni quebrarán uno solo de sus huesos. Se ajustarán estrictamente en todo al ritual de la Pascua. 13 Pero si alguien que está en estado de pureza y no se encuentra de viaje rehúsa celebrar la Pascua, tal persona será extirpada de su pueblo. Por no haber presentado a su debido tiempo la ofrenda en honor del Señor, cargará con las consecuencias de su pecado. 14 Y cuando el extranjero que reside entre ustedes, quiera celebrar la Pascua en honor del Señor, deberá hacerlo conforme a las normas rituales de la Pascua. Tendrán un mismo rito tanto para el extranjero como para el ciudadano del país.
La nube de fuego
15 El día que fue erigida la Morada, es decir, la Tienda del testimonio, la nube cubrió la Morada. Desde el anochecer hasta la mañana, la nube que cubría la Morada tenía una apariencia de fuego. 16 Así sucedía permanentemente: la nube cubría la Morada durante el día mientras que por la noche parecía como un fuego. 17 Cuando se alzaba la nube por encima de la Tienda, los israelitas partían; y en el lugar donde la nube se detenía, allí acampaban los israelitas. 18 A la señal del Señor los israelitas partían, y a la señal del Señor acampaban; permanecían acampados todo el tiempo que la nube permanecía sobre la Morada. 19 Cuando la nube permanecía sobre la Morada durante mucho tiempo, los israelitas obedecían el mandato del Señor y no partían. 20 Si sólo permanecía sobre la Morada unos pocos días, igualmente a la señal del Señor acampaban, y a la señal del Señor partían. 21 A veces la nube permanecía sólo desde el anochecer hasta la mañana; en tal caso los israelitas partían tan pronto como la nube se levantaba por la mañana. Fuera de día o de noche, cuando la nube se levantaba, ellos partían. 22 Daba lo mismo que fueran dos días, un mes o un año; mientras la nube permanecía sobre la Morada, los israelitas permanecían acampados y no se movían; solamente cuando la nube se levantaba, ellos partían. 23 A la señal del Señor acampaban y a la señal del Señor partían, obedeciendo así la señal del Señor, tal como el Señor lo había mandado por medio de Moisés.
