4 耶 和 華 曉 諭 摩 西 、 亞 倫 說 ：
2 你 從 利 未 人 中 ， 將 哥 轄 子 孫 的 總 數 ， 照 他 們 的 家 室 、 宗 族 ，
3 從 三 十 歲 直 到 五 十 歲 ， 凡 前 來 任 職 、 在 會 幕 裡 辦 事 的 ， 全 都 計 算 。
4 哥 轄 子 孫 在 會 幕 搬 運 至 聖 之 物 ， 所 辦 的 事 乃 是 這 樣 ：
5 起 營 的 時 候 ， 亞 倫 和 他 兒 子 要 進 去 摘 下 遮 掩 櫃 的 幔 子 ， 用 以 蒙 蓋 法 櫃 ，
6 又 用 海 狗 皮 蓋 在 上 頭 ， 再 蒙 上 純 藍 色 的 毯 子 ， 把 杠 穿 上 。
7 又 用 藍 色 毯 子 鋪 在 陳 設 餅 的 桌 子 上 ， 將 盤 子 、 調 羹 、 奠 酒 的 爵 ， 和 杯 擺 在 上 頭 。 桌 子 上 也 必 有 常 設 的 餅 。
8 在 其 上 又 要 蒙 朱 紅 色 的 毯 子 ， 再 蒙 上 海 狗 皮 ， 把 杠 穿 上 。
9 要 拿 藍 色 毯 子 ， 把 燈 臺 和 燈 臺 上 所 用 的 燈 盞 、 剪 子 、 蠟 花 盤 ， 並 一 切 盛 油 的 器 皿 ， 全 都 遮 蓋 。
10 又 要 把 燈 臺 和 燈 臺 的 一 切 器 具 包 在 海 狗 皮 裡 ， 放 在 抬 架 上 。
11 在 金 壇 上 要 鋪 藍 色 毯 子 ， 蒙 上 海 狗 皮 ， 把 杠 穿 上 。
12 又 要 把 聖 所 用 的 一 切 器 具 包 在 藍 色 毯 子 裡 ， 用 海 狗 皮 蒙 上 ， 放 在 抬 架 上 。
13 要 收 去 壇 上 的 灰 ， 把 紫 色 毯 子 鋪 在 壇 上 ；
14 又 要 把 所 用 的 一 切 器 具 ， 就 是 火 鼎 、 肉 鍤 子 、 鏟 子 、 盤 子 ， 一 切 屬 壇 的 器 具 都 擺 在 壇 上 ， 又 蒙 上 海 狗 皮 ， 把 杠 穿 上 。
15 將 要 起 營 的 時 候 ， 亞 倫 和 他 兒 子 把 聖 所 和 聖 所 的 一 切 器 具 遮 蓋 完 了 ， 哥 轄 的 子 孫 就 要 來 抬 ， 只 是 不 可 摸 聖 物 ， 免 得 他 們 死 亡 。 會 幕 裡 這 些 物 件 是 哥 轄 子 孫 所 當 抬 的 。
16 祭 司 亞 倫 的 兒 子 以 利 亞 撒 所 要 看 守 的 是 點 燈 的 油 與 香 料 ， 並 當 獻 的 素 祭 和 膏 油 ， 也 要 看 守 全 帳 幕 與 其 中 所 有 的 ， 並 聖 所 和 聖 所 的 器 具 。
17 耶 和 華 曉 諭 摩 西 、 亞 倫 說 ：
18 你 們 不 可 將 哥 轄 人 的 支 派 從 利 未 人 中 剪 除 。
19 他 們 挨 近 至 聖 物 的 時 候 ， 亞 倫 和 他 兒 子 要 進 去 派 他 們 各 人 所 當 辦 的 ， 所 當 抬 的 。 這 樣 待 他 們 ， 好 使 他 們 活 著 ， 不 至 死 亡 。
20 只 是 他 們 連 片 時 不 可 進 去 觀 看 聖 所 ， 免 得 他 們 死 亡 。

哥辖子孙的职责
4 耶和华对摩西和亚伦说： 2 “你要按宗族和家系统计利未人中哥辖子孙的人数， 3 登记三十岁到五十岁、可在会幕司职的男子。 4 他们在会幕里管理至圣之物。
5 “拔营出发的时候，亚伦父子们要进会幕解下圣所和至圣所之间的幔子，用它遮盖约柜， 6 再在上面依次盖上海狗皮和纯蓝色的布，然后穿上抬约柜的横杠。
7 “要在摆放供饼的桌子上铺一块蓝布，把盘、碟、杯和献酒用的瓶子摆在上面。桌上要有供饼。 8 这些东西上面要盖朱红色的布，再盖上海狗皮，然后穿上抬桌子的横杠。
9 “要用蓝布把灯台、灯盏、蜡剪、蜡盘和盛油的器皿全遮盖起来， 10 再在上面盖上海狗皮，然后放在抬架上。
11 “金香坛上面要盖蓝色布，再盖上海狗皮，穿上抬金香坛的横杠。
12 “圣所里面一切器皿都要用蓝色布包好，盖上海狗皮，放在抬架上。
13 “要清除祭坛上的灰烬，铺上紫色布， 14 然后把火鼎、肉叉、铲、碗等祭坛的器具放在上面，再盖上海狗皮，穿上抬祭坛的横杠。
15 “拔营出发时，哥辖的子孙要等到亚伦父子们把圣所和圣所的器具都盖好后，才可以来抬。他们负责抬这些会幕的器具，但不可触摸这些圣物，免得死亡。 16 亚伦祭司的儿子以利亚撒负责管理整个圣幕及里面的灯油、香料、素祭、膏油等一切物品。”
17 耶和华对摩西和亚伦说： 18 “不要让哥辖宗族在利未人中灭绝。 19 他们走近至圣之物以前，亚伦父子们要先进去指派他们做什么、抬什么，以免他们死亡。 20 他们不可进去看圣物，一刻都不可，免得死亡。”

The Kohathites
4 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: 2 “Take a census(A) of the Kohathite branch of the Levites by their clans and families. 3 Count(B) all the men from thirty to fifty years of age(C) who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting.
4 “This is the work(D) of the Kohathites(E) at the tent of meeting: the care of the most holy things.(F) 5 When the camp is to move,(G) Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain(H) and put it over the ark of the covenant law.(I) 6 Then they are to cover the curtain with a durable leather,[a](J) spread a cloth of solid blue over that and put the poles(K) in place.
7 “Over the table of the Presence(L) they are to spread a blue cloth and put on it the plates, dishes and bowls, and the jars for drink offerings;(M) the bread that is continually there(N) is to remain on it. 8 They are to spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover that with the durable leather and put the poles(O) in place.
9 “They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand that is for light, together with its lamps, its wick trimmers and trays,(P) and all its jars for the olive oil used to supply it. 10 Then they are to wrap it and all its accessories in a covering of the durable leather and put it on a carrying frame.(Q)
11 “Over the gold altar(R) they are to spread a blue cloth and cover that with the durable leather and put the poles(S) in place.
12 “They are to take all the articles(T) used for ministering in the sanctuary, wrap them in a blue cloth, cover that with the durable leather and put them on a carrying frame.(U)
13 “They are to remove the ashes(V) from the bronze altar(W) and spread a purple cloth over it. 14 Then they are to place on it all the utensils(X) used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans,(Y) meat forks,(Z) shovels(AA) and sprinkling bowls.(AB) Over it they are to spread a covering of the durable leather and put the poles(AC) in place.
15 “After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy furnishings and all the holy articles, and when the camp is ready to move,(AD) only then are the Kohathites(AE) to come and do the carrying.(AF) But they must not touch the holy things(AG) or they will die.(AH) The Kohathites are to carry those things that are in the tent of meeting.
16 “Eleazar(AI) son of Aaron, the priest, is to have charge of the oil for the light,(AJ) the fragrant incense,(AK) the regular grain offering(AL) and the anointing oil. He is to be in charge of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including its holy furnishings and articles.”
17 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 18 “See that the Kohathite tribal clans are not destroyed from among the Levites. 19 So that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things,(AM) do this for them: Aaron and his sons(AN) are to go into the sanctuary and assign to each man his work and what he is to carry.(AO) 20 But the Kohathites must not go in to look(AP) at the holy things, even for a moment, or they will die.”
