利未人的職分
3 以下是耶和華在西奈山與摩西說話期間亞倫和摩西的後代。
2 亞倫的長子是拿答，其他兒子還有亞比戶、以利亞撒和以他瑪。 3 亞倫的兒子都是受膏的祭司，從摩西那裡承受聖職做祭司。 4 拿答和亞比戶在西奈曠野用凡火向耶和華獻祭，因而被擊殺。他們沒有後裔，因此只剩下以利亞撒和以他瑪在父親亞倫身邊擔任祭司。
5 耶和華對摩西說： 6 「你去叫利未支派來協助亞倫祭司。 7 他們要為亞倫和全體會眾在會幕司職，辦理聖幕的事務， 8 也要負責看守會幕裡面的器具，為以色列人辦理聖幕的事務。 9 你要把利未人交給亞倫父子們，因為他們是從以色列人中選出來協助亞倫的。 10 你要指派亞倫父子們盡祭司的職分，其他人若走近聖幕，必被處死。」 11 耶和華又對摩西說： 12 「我從以色列人中揀選利未人代替以色列人所有的長子。利未人要屬於我， 13 因為所有頭生的都屬於我。我殺死埃及人所有的長子和頭生的牲畜那天，已把以色列人所有的長子和頭生的牲畜都分別出來，使之聖潔，歸給我，我是耶和華。」
14 耶和華在西奈曠野對摩西說： 15 「你要按利未人的宗族和家系統計他們的人口，登記所有年齡在一個月以上的男性。」 16 於是，摩西照耶和華的吩咐統計利未人。 17 利未的兒子是革順、哥轄和米拉利。 18 革順的兒子依次是立尼和示每。 19 哥轄的兒子依次是暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯崙和烏薛。 20 米拉利的兒子依次是抹利和姆示。他們按家系都屬於利未人的宗族。
21 革順宗族有立尼和示每兩個家族， 22 其中年齡在一個月以上的男性共七千五百人。 23 革順宗族的人要在聖幕的後面，即西面安營， 24 拉伊勒的兒子以利雅薩做首領。 25 他們負責看守會幕，即聖幕、聖幕的罩棚、頂蓋和門簾、 26 圍繞聖幕和祭壇的院子的帷幔、門簾、繩索及一切相關的物品。
27 哥轄宗族有暗蘭家族、以斯哈家族、希伯崙家族和烏薛家族， 28 其中年齡在一個月以上的男性共有八千六百人，他們負責看守聖所。 29 哥轄宗族的人要在聖幕南面安營， 30 烏薛的兒子以利撒反做首領。 31 他們負責照管約櫃、桌子、燈臺、兩座壇、聖所裡面的器具、幔子等一切物品。 32 亞倫祭司的兒子以利亞撒是利未人的最高首領，負責監督在聖所工作的人。
33 米拉利宗族有抹利和姆示兩個家族， 34 其中年齡在一個月以上的男性共六千二百人， 35 亞比亥的兒子蘇列做首領。他們要在聖幕的北面安營， 36 負責照管聖幕的木板、橫閂、柱子、帶凹槽的底座和聖幕的一切器具， 37 以及院子四周的柱子、帶凹槽的底座、橛子和繩索。
38 摩西、亞倫和亞倫的兒子們要在聖幕東面、朝日出的方向安營，為以色列人在聖所司職。凡擅自走近聖所的人，都要被處死。 39 摩西和亞倫照耶和華的吩咐，按宗族統計利未人，年齡在一個月以上的男性共兩萬二千人。
利未人代替長子的地位
40 耶和華對摩西說：「你要統計以色列人中年齡在一個月以上的長子，登記他們的姓名。 41 我是耶和華，你要把利未人歸給我，代替以色列人所有的長子，也要把利未人的牲畜獻給我，代替以色列人所有頭生的牲畜。」 42 摩西就照耶和華的吩咐統計了以色列人的長子， 43 年齡在一個月以上的共兩萬二千二百七十三人。 44 耶和華又對摩西說： 45 「你要用利未人代替以色列人所有的長子，用利未人的牲畜代替以色列人所有頭生的牲畜。利未人是屬於我的，我是耶和華。 46 以色列人所有長子的人數比利未人總數多二百七十三人，這些多出來的人需要被贖回， 47 每人折合五十五克銀子，要以聖所的秤為準，即一舍客勒[a]是二十季拉。 48 要把贖銀交給亞倫父子們。」 49 摩西就收取了那二百七十三人的贖銀， 50 以聖所的秤計算，共十五公斤銀子， 51 照耶和華的吩咐，將贖銀交給亞倫父子們。
哥轄子孫的職責
4 耶和華對摩西和亞倫說： 2 「你要按宗族和家系統計利未人中哥轄子孫的人數， 3 登記三十歲到五十歲、可在會幕司職的男子。 4 他們在會幕裡管理至聖之物。
5 「拔營出發的時候，亞倫父子們要進會幕解下聖所和至聖所之間的幔子，用它遮蓋約櫃， 6 再在上面依次蓋上海狗皮和純藍色的布，然後穿上抬約櫃的橫杠。
7 「要在擺放供餅的桌子上鋪一塊藍布，把盤、碟、杯和獻酒用的瓶子擺在上面。桌上要有供餅。 8 這些東西上面要蓋朱紅色的布，再蓋上海狗皮，然後穿上抬桌子的橫杠。
9 「要用藍布把燈臺、燈盞、蠟剪、蠟盤和盛油的器皿全遮蓋起來， 10 再在上面蓋上海狗皮，然後放在抬架上。
11 「金香壇上面要蓋藍色布，再蓋上海狗皮，穿上抬金香壇的橫杠。
12 「聖所裡面一切器皿都要用藍色布包好，蓋上海狗皮，放在抬架上。
13 「要清除祭壇上的灰燼，鋪上紫色布， 14 然後把火鼎、肉叉、鏟、碗等祭壇的器具放在上面，再蓋上海狗皮，穿上抬祭壇的橫杠。
15 「拔營出發時，哥轄的子孫要等到亞倫父子們把聖所和聖所的器具都蓋好後，才可以來抬。他們負責抬這些會幕的器具，但不可觸摸這些聖物，免得死亡。 16 亞倫祭司的兒子以利亞撒負責管理整個聖幕及裡面的燈油、香料、素祭、膏油等一切物品。」
17 耶和華對摩西和亞倫說： 18 「不要讓哥轄宗族在利未人中滅絕。 19 他們走近至聖之物以前，亞倫父子們要先進去指派他們做什麼、抬什麼，以免他們死亡。 20 他們不可進去看聖物，一刻都不可，免得死亡。」
革順子孫的職責
21 耶和華對摩西說： 22 「你要按宗族和家系統計革順子孫的人數， 23 登記三十歲到五十歲、可在會幕司職的男子。 24 以下是他們負責的事務。
25 「他們要抬聖幕的幔子、會幕、會幕頂蓋、頂蓋上的海狗皮、會幕門簾、 26 圍繞聖幕和祭壇的院子的帷幔、院門門簾、繩索等器具，還負責其他相關事務。 27 你們要把任務分配給革順的子孫，他們要遵照亞倫父子們的吩咐司職。 28 這是革順宗族的人在會幕裡的職責，他們要按祭司亞倫的兒子以他瑪的吩咐司職。
米拉利子孫的職責
29 「你要按宗族和家系統計米拉利子孫的人數， 30 登記三十歲到五十歲、可在會幕司職的男子。 31 他們在會幕裡負責抬聖幕的木板、橫閂、柱子、帶凹槽的底座， 32 院子四周的柱子及其帶凹槽的底座、橛子、繩索和其他相關器具。你們要把當抬的物件一一指派給他們。 33 這是米拉利宗族的人在會幕的職責，由祭司亞倫的兒子以他瑪監督。」
34 於是，摩西、亞倫和會眾的首領按宗族和家系統計哥轄的子孫， 35 登記了三十歲到五十歲、可在會幕司職的男子， 36 共兩千七百五十人。 37 這是哥轄宗族在會幕司職的人數，是摩西和亞倫照耶和華的吩咐統計的。
38-40 按宗族和家系統計，革順的子孫中三十歲到五十歲、可在會幕司職的共兩千六百三十人。 41 這是革順宗族在會幕司職的人數，是摩西和亞倫照耶和華的吩咐統計的。
42-44 按宗族和家系統計，米拉利的子孫中三十歲到五十歲、可在會幕司職的共三千二百人。 45 這是米拉利宗族的人數，是摩西和亞倫照耶和華的吩咐統計的。
46 摩西、亞倫和以色列人的首領按宗族和家系統計了利未人的人數， 47-48 三十歲到五十歲可司職、搬運會幕器具的利未人共八千五百八十人。 49 照耶和華對摩西的吩咐，每個人都被統計在內，都有指定的職責和當抬的器具。這樣，照耶和華對摩西的吩咐，人口統計完畢。
送不潔淨之人出營
5 耶和華對摩西說： 2 「你吩咐以色列人把所有患痲瘋病、漏症和因碰過死屍而不潔淨的人， 3 無論男女，都送到營外，免得他們玷污了營地，因為我住在其中。」 4 以色列人就照耶和華對摩西的吩咐，把這些人送到營外。
賠償條例
5 耶和華對摩西說： 6 「你把以下條例告訴以色列人。
「無論男女，若損害別人就是不忠於耶和華，就是犯罪。 7 那人必須認罪，賠償損失，並且必須加賠五分之一。 8 如果受害人已死，又沒有可以接受賠償的近親，賠償就屬於耶和華，要歸祭司所有。那人還要再獻上一隻公綿羊為自己贖罪。 9 以色列人帶來奉獻的一切聖物都要歸祭司所有。 10 各人奉獻的聖物，無論是什麼，都要歸祭司所有。」
疑妻不貞
11 耶和華對摩西說： 12-14 「你把以下條例告訴以色列人。
「若有人懷疑妻子出軌，暗中與人通姦，卻沒有證據，在無法確定是自己疑心還是妻子不忠的情況下， 15 他要帶妻子到祭司那裡，同時為妻子帶去一公斤大麥麵粉作為供物。不可在上面澆油或加乳香，因為這是因疑心而獻上的素祭，要證明他妻子是否有罪。
16 「祭司要把那婦人帶到耶和華面前， 17 用陶器盛一些聖水，從聖幕的地上取一些塵土撒在水中， 18 然後讓那婦人站在耶和華面前，解開她的頭髮，把那素祭放在她手裡。祭司要拿著帶給罪人咒詛的苦水， 19 叫她發誓。祭司要對她說，『如果你沒有出軌，沒有背著丈夫與人通姦，就不會被這苦水所害。 20 如果你曾出軌，背著丈夫與人通姦， 21-22 你喝下這苦水後，願耶和華使你大腿消瘦、肚腹腫脹、不能生育，使你被同胞咒詛和唾棄。』她要說，『阿們！阿們！』 23 祭司要把這咒詛寫在書卷上，再放在苦水裡把字洗掉。 24 祭司要讓婦人喝這可帶來咒詛的苦水，不忠的婦人喝下後，肚子會感到劇痛。 25 祭司要從婦人手中接過她丈夫因疑心而獻的素祭，在耶和華面前搖一搖，然後帶到祭壇那裡。 26 他要從素祭中取出一把麵粉作為象徵放在祭壇上焚燒，然後叫那婦人喝下苦水。 27 如果她曾與人通姦，背叛了丈夫，這可帶來咒詛的苦水進入她體內後，會引起劇痛，使她肚腹腫脹、大腿消瘦、不能生育，她也將被同胞咒詛。 28 但如果她是貞潔的，沒有與人通姦，就不會受傷害，仍能生育。
29 「這就是處理丈夫懷疑妻子不忠的條例。遇到妻子背著丈夫與人通姦， 30 或是丈夫懷疑妻子不忠，就要讓妻子站在耶和華面前，由祭司對她執行這條例。 31 無論結果怎樣，丈夫都無罪，但妻子若有罪，必承擔罪責。」
拿細耳人的條例
6 耶和華對摩西說： 2 「你把以下條例告訴以色列人。
「無論男女，如果許願做拿細耳人，把自己獻給耶和華， 3 就要禁戒淡酒和烈酒、淡酒或烈酒做的醋、葡萄汁、葡萄和葡萄乾。 4 在做拿細耳人期間，葡萄樹所結的，包括葡萄核和葡萄皮，都不可吃。 5 在許願做拿細耳人期間，不可用剃刀剃頭，要任由頭髮生長，要保持聖潔，一直到獻給耶和華的日期滿了。 6 在獻給耶和華期間，不可挨近死屍， 7 即使父母或是兄弟姊妹死了，也不可挨近，以免沾染不潔，因為他頭上有將自己奉獻給上帝的記號。 8 在做拿細耳人期間，他是奉獻給耶和華的人。 9 如果有人在他身邊暴斃，使他的頭髮沾染不潔，他要等到第七天潔淨的日子剃掉頭髮。 10 第八天，他要帶兩隻斑鳩或雛鴿到會幕門口交給祭司。 11 祭司要獻一隻作贖罪祭，另一隻作燔祭，為他碰過死屍贖罪。他要在當日使頭聖潔， 12 重新開始過奉獻給耶和華的日子，還要帶一隻一歲的公羊羔作贖過祭。他以前做拿細耳人的日子無效，因為他沾染了不潔之物。
13 「獻給耶和華的日子期滿後，拿細耳人要遵行以下條例。他要被帶到會幕門口， 14 在那裡獻給耶和華一隻毫無殘疾、一歲的公羊羔作燔祭，一隻毫無殘疾、一歲母羊羔作贖罪祭，一隻毫無殘疾的公綿羊作平安祭， 15 一籃調油的無酵細麵餅和塗油的無酵薄餅，以及素祭和奠祭。 16 祭司要把這些祭物帶到耶和華面前，為他獻上贖罪祭和燔祭， 17 然後把公綿羊和無酵餅獻給耶和華作平安祭，再獻上素祭和奠祭。 18 拿細耳人要在會幕門口剃掉作為奉獻記號的頭髮，把頭髮放在平安祭的火裡燒掉。 19 拿細耳人剃頭以後，祭司要取出一條煮好的公綿羊前腿，再從籃中拿出一塊無酵餅和一塊無酵薄餅，放在拿細耳人手中。 20 然後，祭司要把這些祭物作為搖祭在耶和華面前搖一搖。這些祭物與作搖祭的胸肉和作舉祭的腿肉一樣，都是歸給祭司的聖物。此後，拿細耳人便可以喝酒。
21 「以上是許願獻供物給耶和華的拿細耳人當守的條例和當獻的祭物。但如果他額外許願獻上力所能及之物，就必須還所許的願。」
祭司的祝福
22 耶和華對摩西說： 23 「你告訴亞倫父子們要這樣為以色列人祝福， 24 『願耶和華賜福給你，保護你； 25 願耶和華笑顏垂顧你，施恩給你； 26 願耶和華恩待你，賜你平安。』 27 他們要奉我的名為以色列人祝福，我必賜福給他們。」
各首領的奉獻
7 摩西支好聖幕後，便用膏油抹聖幕和其中的器具、祭壇和壇上的器具，使它們聖潔。 2 然後，以色列各支派的首領，就是負責人口統計的各族長，都來奉獻。 3 他們把供物帶到聖幕前獻給耶和華：每兩位首領奉獻一輛篷車，每位首領奉獻一頭公牛，共六輛篷車和十二頭公牛。
4 耶和華對摩西說： 5 「你要收下這些供物，按利未人的工作分配給他們，供會幕使用。」 6 於是，摩西收下車和牛，交給利未人。 7 他分給革順的子孫兩輛車和四頭牛， 8 分給米拉利的子孫四輛車和八頭牛。他們都在祭司亞倫的兒子以他瑪的領導下任職。 9 摩西沒有把供物分給哥轄的子孫，因為他們要用肩扛所負責的聖物。
10 膏抹祭壇時，各首領都為獻壇之禮帶來供物，放在祭壇前。 11 耶和華對摩西說：「每天要有一位首領為獻壇之禮獻上供物。」
12 第一天來獻供物的是猶大支派亞米拿達的兒子拿順。 13 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 14 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 15 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 16 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 17 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
18 第二天來獻供物的是以薩迦支派的首領、蘇押的兒子拿坦業。 19 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 20 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 21 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 22 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 23 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
24 第三天來獻供物的是西布倫支派的首領、希倫的兒子以利押。 25 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 26 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 27 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 28 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊， 29 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
30 第四天來獻供物的是呂便支派的首領、示丟珥的兒子以利蘇。 31 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 32 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 33 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 34 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 35 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
36 第五天來獻供物的是西緬支派的首領、蘇利沙代的兒子示路蔑。 37 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 38 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 39 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 40 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 41 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
42 第六天來獻供物的是迦得支派的首領、丟珥的兒子以利雅薩。 43 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 44 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 45 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 46 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 47 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
48 第七天來獻供物的是以法蓮支派的首領、亞米忽的兒子以利沙瑪。 49 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 50 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 51 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 52 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 53 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
54 第八天來獻供物的是瑪拿西支派的首領、比大蘇的兒子迦瑪列。 55 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 56 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 57 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 58 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 59 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
60 第九天來獻供物的是便雅憫支派的首領、基多尼的兒子亞比但。 61 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 62 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 63 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 64 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 65 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
66 第十天來獻供物的是但支派的首領、亞米沙代的兒子亞希以謝。 67 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 68 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 69 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 70 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 71 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
72 第十一天來獻供物的是亞設支派的首領、俄蘭的兒子帕結。 73 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 74 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 75 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 76 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 77 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
78 第十二天來獻供物的是拿弗他利支派的首領、以南的兒子亞希拉。 79 他的供物是一個重一公斤半的銀盤，一個重八百克的銀碗，重量都以聖所的秤為準，都盛滿作素祭的調了油的細麵粉； 80 一個重一百一十克盛滿香的金碟子； 81 作燔祭的一頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和一隻一歲公羊羔； 82 一隻作贖罪祭的公山羊； 83 作平安祭的兩頭公牛、五隻公綿羊、五隻公山羊和五隻一歲的公羊羔。
84 以上是膏抹祭壇時以色列各首領為獻壇之禮所獻的供物，共計有銀盤、銀碗和金碟子各十二個， 85 以聖所的秤為準，每個銀盤重一公斤半，每個銀碗重八百克，共重二十七點六公斤； 86 以聖所的秤為準，盛滿香的十二個金碟子每個重一百一十克，共重一點三二公斤； 87 作燔祭的牲畜共有公牛犢、公綿羊、一歲的公羊羔各十二隻，還有一起獻上的素祭以及作贖罪祭的公山羊十二隻； 88 作平安祭的牲畜共有公牛二十四頭，公綿羊、公山羊、一歲的公羊羔各六十隻。
以上是在膏抹祭壇後所收到的供物。
89 每當摩西走進會幕要與耶和華說話時，便聽見耶和華從約櫃的施恩座上、兩個基路伯天使中間對他說話。
安置七盞燈
8 耶和華對摩西說： 2 「你告訴亞倫，安放燈的時候，七盞燈都要照向燈臺的前面。」 3 亞倫就照耶和華對摩西的吩咐把燈放好，使燈照向前方。 4 整座燈臺，從燈座到上面的花苞，都是照耶和華對摩西的吩咐用金子錘製而成的。
為利未人行潔淨與奉獻禮
5 耶和華對摩西說： 6 「你要把利未人從其他以色列人中分別出來，潔淨他們。 7 要用以下的方法潔淨他們，把潔淨水灑在他們身上，叫他們用剃刀剃淨全身，洗淨衣服，這樣他們就潔淨了。 8 然後叫他們帶來一頭公牛犢及作素祭的調了油的細麵粉，你要另獻一頭公牛犢作贖罪祭。 9 你要招聚以色列全體會眾，將利未人帶到會幕前， 10 帶到耶和華面前，會眾要按手在他們身上。 11 亞倫要把他們獻給耶和華，作為以色列人獻的搖祭，使他們可以事奉耶和華。 12 利未人要按手在那兩頭公牛的頭上，然後你要把一頭作為贖罪祭，一頭作為燔祭獻給耶和華，好為利未人贖罪。 13 你要讓利未人站在亞倫父子們面前，把他們當作搖祭獻給耶和華。 14 這樣，你就把利未人從其他以色列人中分別出來，使他們歸給我。 15 利未人被潔淨、當作搖祭獻上以後，就可以進會幕司職， 16 因為在以色列人中，他們完全屬於我，我揀選他們歸我所有，以代替以色列人所有的長子。 17 以色列人所有的長子和頭生的牲畜都屬於我。我擊殺埃及人所有的長子和頭生的牲畜那天，已把以色列人所有的長子和頭生的牲畜都分別出來，使之聖潔，歸給我。 18 我現在已揀選利未人代替以色列人所有的長子， 19 把他們交給亞倫父子們，替以色列人在會幕中司職，為以色列人贖罪，免得以色列人因接近聖所而遭禍。」
20 摩西、亞倫和以色列全體會眾就按照耶和華對摩西的吩咐把利未人獻上。 21 利未人自潔、洗淨衣服後，亞倫把他們當作搖祭獻給耶和華，又為他們贖罪，使他們潔淨。 22 之後，利未人便進入會幕，在亞倫父子們的監督下司職。以色列人照耶和華對摩西的吩咐奉獻了利未人。
23 耶和華對摩西說： 24 「二十五歲以上的利未人都要到會幕司職， 25 五十歲時退休。 26 退休之後，他們可以協助本族弟兄看守會幕，不用再司職。你要這樣給他們分派工作。」
逾越節
9 以色列人離開埃及後第二年的一月，耶和華在西奈曠野對摩西說： 2 「以色列人要在指定的時間守逾越節， 3 就是在一月十四日黃昏按照有關的律例和典章守逾越節。」 4 於是，摩西吩咐以色列人守逾越節。 5 一月十四日黃昏，以色列人照耶和華對摩西的吩咐，在西奈山守逾越節。
6 可是，有幾個人因碰到死屍而不潔淨，不能在那天守逾越節，他們就來見摩西和亞倫， 7 說：「我們不過因碰到死屍而不潔淨，為什麼不准我們跟其他以色列人一起在指定的時間向耶和華獻供物？」 8 摩西說：「你們等一下，我要去聽聽耶和華對這事有什麼吩咐。」
9 耶和華對摩西說： 10 「你把以下條例告訴以色列人。
「如果你們或你們的子孫中有人因為碰了死屍而不潔淨，或是出了遠門，可以改期為耶和華守逾越節。 11 他們可以在二月十四日黃昏守逾越節，要配無酵餅和苦菜一起吃逾越節的羊羔。 12 食物不可留到天明，也不可折斷羊羔的一根骨頭。要遵守逾越節的一切律例。 13 如果有人是潔淨的，又沒有出遠門，卻不守逾越節，要將他從民中剷除。他不在指定的時間向耶和華獻供物，就必須自負罪責。 14 如果寄居在你們中間的外族人也想為耶和華守逾越節，他們也要遵守這些律例和典章。不論是外族人還是以色列人，都要遵守同樣的律例。」
雲彩遮蓋會幕
15 安放約櫃的聖幕支起來那天，雲彩遮蓋了它。當晚，雲彩整夜像火焰一般。 16 之後，每天如此：白天雲彩遮蓋聖幕，晚上雲彩像火。 17 雲彩什麼時候從聖幕上升起，以色列人就啟行；雲彩在哪裡停下來，以色列人就在哪裡安營。 18 他們無論啟行還是安營，都遵照耶和華的吩咐。雲彩在聖幕上停留多久，他們就安營多久。 19 有時雲彩在聖幕上停留多日，他們就遵照耶和華的吩咐安營多日。 20 有時雲彩在聖幕上只停留幾天，他們就遵照耶和華的吩咐只安營幾天。隨後再照耶和華的吩咐啟行。 21 有時雲彩整夜停留在聖幕上，到早晨才升起，他們就早晨才啟行。不管白天黑夜，雲彩一升起，他們就啟行。 22 不管是兩天、一個月或是一年，只要雲彩停留在聖幕上，以色列人就安營不動；雲彩一升起，他們就啟行。 23 他們遵照耶和華的吩咐安營，也遵照耶和華的吩咐啟行。他們遵行耶和華藉摩西吩咐的話。
銀號
10 耶和華對摩西說： 2 「你要用銀子打造兩支號，用來招聚會眾和發出拔營的號令。 3 吹響兩支號時，全體會眾要聚集到你那裡，即會幕門口。 4 如果只吹響一支號，擔任首領的以色列各族長要聚集到你那裡。 5 如果吹響拔營的號令，在東面紮營的就要啟行； 6 第二次吹響拔營號令時，在南面紮營的就要啟行。拔營號令是啟行的信號。 7 但吹號招聚會眾時，不要用拔營號令。 8 做祭司的亞倫子孫要負責吹號，這是世代不變的律例。 9 當你們在自己的土地上跟敵人作戰時，要吹號，你們的上帝耶和華必眷顧你們，救你們脫離敵人。 10 在節期和朔日[b]這些歡樂的日子獻燔祭和平安祭的時候，你們要吹號，好在你們的上帝面前蒙眷顧。我是你們的上帝耶和華。」
離開西奈山
11 第二年的二月二十日，雲彩從安放約櫃的聖幕上升起， 12 以色列人就從西奈曠野啟行，直到雲彩停在巴蘭曠野時才停下來。 13 這是他們初次照耶和華藉摩西的吩咐啟行。
14 猶大旗下的營隊率先出發，率領猶大支派的是亞米拿達的兒子拿順， 15 率領以薩迦支派的是蘇押的兒子拿坦業， 16 率領西布倫支派的是希倫的兒子以利押。 17 然後，聖幕被拆下，革順和米拉利的子孫抬著聖幕出發。 18 隨後出發的是呂便旗下的營隊，率領呂便支派的是示丟珥的兒子以利蘇， 19 率領西緬支派的是蘇利沙代的兒子示路蔑， 20 率領迦得支派的是丟珥的兒子以利雅薩。
21 隨後出發的是哥轄人，他們抬著聖物前行。在他們到達之前，聖幕應已支好。 22 隨後出發的是以法蓮旗下的營隊，率領以法蓮支派的是亞米忽的兒子以利沙瑪， 23 率領瑪拿西支派的是比大蘇的兒子迦瑪列， 24 率領便雅憫支派的是基多尼的兒子亞比但。
25 殿後的是但旗下的營隊，率領但支派的是亞米沙代的兒子亞希以謝， 26 率領亞設支派的是俄蘭的兒子帕結， 27 率領拿弗他利支派的是以南的兒子亞希拉。 28 這是以色列各營隊拔營前行的次序。
29 摩西對岳父流珥之子米甸人何巴說：「我們就要動身前往耶和華應許給我們的地方，祂曾說要把那地方賜給我們。請你跟我們一起去吧，我們必厚待你，耶和華已經應許要賜福給以色列人。」 30 何巴說：「我不去了，我要回到我的家鄉和親族那裡。」 31 摩西說：「請不要離開我們。你熟悉曠野，可以做我們的嚮導，告訴我們在哪裡紮營。 32 如果你跟我們同去，我們一定與你分享耶和華賜給我們的福氣。」
33 以色列人離開耶和華的山，走了三天的路程，期間耶和華的約櫃一直在隊伍的前頭，為他們尋找安營之地。 34 他們拔營前行的時候，白天總有耶和華的雲彩在他們上面。 35 每當約櫃出發的時候，摩西就說：「耶和華啊，求你興起，擊潰你的敵人，使恨你的人逃竄。」 36 約櫃停下來的時候，他就說：「耶和華啊，求你回到以色列的千萬人中。」
以色列人發怨言
11 民眾因為困難而發怨言，傳到耶和華耳中。耶和華聽見後便向他們發怒，使火在他們中間燃燒，燒毀了營地的邊緣部分。 2 民眾呼求摩西，摩西便向耶和華禱告，火就熄了。 3 那地方叫他備拉，因為耶和華的火曾在他們中間燃燒。
4 他們中間有一群烏合之眾貪戀從前的食物，以色列人也哭著說：「要是有肉吃多好啊！ 5 還記得在埃及的時候，我們不花錢就可以吃魚，還有黃瓜、西瓜、韭菜、蔥和蒜。 6 我們現在毫無胃口，眼前除了嗎哪外，什麼都沒有。」 7 嗎哪的形狀像芫荽籽，又像珍珠。 8-9 每天晚上露水降在營地上時，嗎哪也隨著降下來。早晨民眾到四周撿嗎哪，把嗎哪磨碎或搗碎後，放在鍋裡煮，再做成餅，味道就像油餅。 10 聽見民眾都在自己帳篷門口哭泣，惹耶和華發怒，摩西感到難過， 11 就對耶和華說：「你為什麼為難僕人？我做了什麼令你不悅的事，你竟把管理這些民眾的重擔放在我身上？ 12 難道他們是我的骨肉，是我生的嗎？為什麼你要我像父親呵護兒子一樣，把他們抱到你應許給他們祖先的地方呢？ 13 他們都哭著向我要肉吃，我去哪裡找肉給他們吃呢？ 14 管理民眾的責任實在是太重了，我一個人擔當不起啊！ 15 你既然這樣對待我，求你施恩殺了我吧，別讓我受苦了！」
16 耶和華對摩西說：「你給我招聚七十個以色列人的長老——你所瞭解的首領，把他們帶到會幕，讓他們站在你身邊。 17 我要在那裡降臨，對你說話，把降在你身上的靈也賜給他們，讓他們為你分擔管理民眾的責任，免得你獨自承擔。 18 你要叫民眾潔淨自己，到明天就會有肉吃。因為我聽見了他們哭著要肉吃、說埃及的日子更好，我必給他們肉吃。 19 他們將不止吃一天、兩天、五天、十天或二十天， 20 而是要吃整整一個月，直到肉從他們鼻孔裡噴出來，令他們厭膩。因為他們厭棄我，在我面前哭訴，後悔離開埃及。」 21 摩西說：「和我同行的，僅男子就有六十萬，你還說要讓他們吃整整一個月的肉！ 22 就是把牛羊都宰了，把海裡的魚都捕來，恐怕也不夠他們吃！」 23 耶和華說：「難道我的臂膀能力不夠嗎？你很快將看見我的話會不會應驗。」
24 摩西就出去把耶和華的話轉告民眾，又選了七十位長老，叫他們站在會幕周圍。 25 耶和華在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，把降在摩西身上的靈也賜給七十位長老。靈一降在他們身上，他們就說起預言來，但只說了這一次。 26 七十位長老中的伊利達和米達沒有到會幕去，但耶和華的靈也降在他們身上，他們就在營中說起預言來。 27 有一個青年跑去稟告摩西說：「伊利達和米達正在營中說預言。」 28 摩西揀選的助手——嫩的兒子約書亞就說：「我主摩西，請你禁止他們。」 29 摩西說：「你是怕我的權威受影響嗎？願耶和華的子民都成為先知！願耶和華把祂的靈降在他們身上！」 30 之後，摩西和以色列的長老都返回營中。
耶和華賜下鵪鶉
31 耶和華颳起一陣風，把鵪鶉從海面颳到營地四周，達一米之厚，方圓數公里。 32 民眾花了兩天一夜的時間去捕捉鵪鶉，每人至少捉了一噸。他們把鵪鶉攤在營地的周圍。 33 他們口中的肉還沒嚼爛，耶和華的怒氣就已向他們發作，降下了大災。 34 因此，那地方叫基博羅·哈他瓦[c]，因為那些貪食者埋葬在那裡。 35 民眾從基博羅·哈他瓦前往哈洗錄，在哈洗錄住了下來。
米利暗受罰
12 米利暗和亞倫因摩西娶了一個古實的女子而批評他，說： 2 「難道耶和華只藉著摩西說話嗎？祂不也藉著我們說話嗎？」耶和華聽見了這話。 3 其實摩西為人十分謙和，比世上任何人都謙和。 4 耶和華立刻對摩西、亞倫和米利暗說：「你們三人都到會幕去。」他們就去了。 5 耶和華在雲柱中降臨，站在會幕門口呼喚亞倫和米利暗，二人就走到前面。 6 耶和華說：「你們聽我說，你們中間若有先知，我耶和華必在異象中向他顯現，在夢中跟他說話。 7 但我不是這樣對待我的僕人摩西，他是我子民中最忠心的人， 8 我跟他面對面說話，清清楚楚，不用謎語，他看得見我的形像。你們怎敢批評我的僕人摩西？」 9 耶和華向他們發怒，然後離去。 10 雲彩從會幕上離開的時候，米利暗身上患了痲瘋病，像雪一樣白。亞倫見狀， 11 便對摩西說：「我主啊，求你不要因我們愚昧犯罪而懲罰我們。 12 求你不要讓她像那一出母腹便半身腐爛的死胎。」 13 於是，摩西呼求耶和華：「上帝啊，求你醫治她！」 14 耶和華對摩西說：「如果她父親在她臉上吐唾沫，她豈不也要蒙羞七天嗎？現在把她關在營外，七天後再讓她回來。」 15 於是，米利暗被關在營外七天，民眾等她回營後才繼續前行。 16 他們離開哈洗錄，到巴蘭曠野安營。
打探迦南
13 耶和華對摩西說： 2 「你要派十二位首領，每個支派一位，去打探我要賜給以色列人的迦南。」 3 摩西就按耶和華的吩咐，從巴蘭曠野派出了十二位首領。 4 他們的名字如下：呂便支派撒刻的兒子沙姆亞， 5 西緬支派何利的兒子沙法， 6 猶大支派耶孚尼的兒子迦勒， 7 以薩迦支派約色的兒子以迦， 8 以法蓮支派嫩的兒子何西阿， 9 便雅憫支派拉孚的兒子帕提， 10 西布倫支派梭底的兒子迦疊， 11 約瑟的子孫、瑪拿西支派穌西的兒子迦底， 12 但支派基瑪利的兒子亞米利， 13 亞設支派米迦勒的兒子西帖， 14 拿弗他利支派縛西的兒子拿比， 15 迦得支派瑪基的兒子臼利。 16 以上是摩西派去打探迦南的人，他稱嫩的兒子何西阿為約書亞。
17 摩西派他們去打探迦南，並囑咐說：「你們先去南地，然後再進山區， 18 打探那地方，看看那裡的居民是強是弱，是多是少； 19 那地方是好是壞，人們住的是堅固的城池還是不設防的營地； 20 土地是肥沃還是貧瘠，有沒有樹木。儘量帶些當地的果子回來。」當時是葡萄初熟的季節。
21 於是，他們從荀曠野一直打探到哈馬口附近的利合。 22 他們經南地到達希伯崙。希伯崙城比埃及的鎖安城還要早建七年，那裡住著亞衲人的子孫亞希幔、示篩和撻買。 23 他們來到以實各谷，在那裡砍下一根葡萄枝，上面有一串葡萄，由兩個人用杠子抬著，又採了一些石榴和無花果。 24 因為他們在那裡砍了一串葡萄，所以就稱那地方為以實各[d]谷。
25 過了四十天，他們打探完畢，返回營地。 26 他們來到巴蘭曠野的加低斯向摩西、亞倫和以色列全體會眾彙報，把當地的果子給大家看。 27 他們對摩西說：「我們照你的指示打探了那地方，果然是奶蜜之鄉，這些都是那裡的果子。 28 但那裡的居民很強悍，城邑又大又堅固。我們在那裡還見到亞衲人的子孫。 29 亞瑪力人住在南地，赫人、耶布斯人和亞摩利人住在山區，迦南人住在海邊和約旦河沿岸。」 30 迦勒讓站在摩西面前的民眾安靜，然後說：「我們立刻去佔領那地方吧！我們必能取勝。」 31 跟他一起去打探的人卻說：「我們不能去攻打那些人，他們比我們強大。」 32 他們還危言聳聽，說：「我們去打探的地方是吞吃居民之地，我們看見的人個個身材高大。 33 我們在那裡看見了亞衲人的子孫，他們是巨人的後裔，我們跟他們相比就像蚱蜢，他們看我們也像蚱蜢。」
以色列人發怨言
14 當晚，全體會眾放聲大哭，整夜哀號。 2 他們埋怨摩西和亞倫說：「我們還不如死在埃及或曠野！ 3 耶和華為什麼把我們領到這裡來，讓我們死於刀下？我們的妻兒必被擄去。我們還不如返回埃及。」 4 他們彼此議論說：「我們選一位首領帶我們回埃及吧！」
5 摩西和亞倫俯伏在以色列全體會眾面前。 6 打探迦南的人中，嫩的兒子約書亞和耶孚尼的兒子迦勒撕裂衣服， 7 對以色列全體會眾說：「我們去打探的地方是佳美之地。 8 如果耶和華喜悅我們，祂必把我們帶到那片土地，將那奶蜜之鄉賜給我們。 9 你們不要背叛耶和華，也不要害怕那裡的人，他們不過是我們的獵物，他們已失去庇護。耶和華與我們同在，不要怕他們。」 10 但全體會眾威脅要用石頭打死他們二人。這時耶和華的榮光在會幕中向以色列人顯現。
11 耶和華對摩西說：「這些人藐視我要到何時呢？我在他們中間行了這麼多神蹟，他們仍然不相信我。 12 我要用瘟疫毀滅他們，不讓他們承受那片土地。但我要使你成為大國，比他們更強盛。」 13 摩西對耶和華說：「你曾經用大能把以色列人從埃及領出來，埃及人聽說這事後， 14 一定會告訴迦南的居民。那裡的居民早已聽說你耶和華與以色列人同在，你面對面向他們顯現，你的雲彩停留在他們上面，你白天用雲柱、黑夜用火柱引導他們。 15 如果你把他們全部消滅，那些聽過你威名的列國就會議論說， 16 『耶和華無法把以色列人領到祂起誓要賜給他們的地方，所以在曠野把他們殺了。』 17 因此，求主彰顯偉大的權能，正如你所宣告的， 18 『耶和華不輕易發怒，充滿慈愛；祂赦免罪惡和過犯，但決不免除罪責，必向子孫追討父輩的罪債，直到三四代。』 19 從他們離開埃及直到現在，你一直在饒恕他們，求你以偉大的慈愛再次赦免這些人的罪。」
20 耶和華說：「我聽你的祈求，赦免他們。 21 但我憑我的永恆起誓，正如大地充滿我的榮耀一樣確實， 22-23 他們絕對看不到我起誓要賜給他們祖先的土地，藐視我的人都看不到那片土地。這些人見過我的榮耀，見過我在埃及和曠野所行的神蹟，卻仍然不聽我的話，試探我十次之多。 24 但我的僕人迦勒並非如此，他全心跟從我，所以我必帶他進入那片他去過的土地，讓他的子孫擁有那片產業。 25 由於亞瑪力人和迦南人住在山谷中，明天你們要轉回，沿紅海的路前往曠野。」
26 耶和華對摩西和亞倫說： 27 「這邪惡的會眾向我發怨言要到何時呢？我已聽見以色列人對我的埋怨。 28 你們去把我的話告訴他們，『以色列人啊，我憑我的永恆起誓，我必照你們所說的對待你們。 29 你們當中凡登記在冊、二十歲以上向我發怨言的人，必倒斃在這曠野中， 30 除耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞之外，你們無人能進入我起誓應許的那片土地。 31 你們說你們的兒女會被擄去，但我要把他們帶到那裡，讓他們享有那片你們厭棄的土地。 32 而你們必死在這曠野。 33 你們的兒女要在曠野飄泊四十年，為你們的不忠而受苦，直到你們都死在曠野。 34 你們打探了那地方四十天，你們要為自己的罪受苦四十年，一年頂一天。那時，你們就知道與我為敵的後果。』 35 我耶和華已經說過。我必使你們這群與我為敵的惡人死在曠野，無一倖免。」
36 摩西派去打探迦南的人回來以後危言聳聽，以致會眾向摩西發怨言。 37 打探的人因而染上瘟疫，死在耶和華面前， 38 只有嫩的兒子約書亞和耶孚尼的兒子迦勒得以倖免。
39 摩西傳達完耶和華的話後，以色列人非常悲傷。 40 他們次日清早起來到山頂去，說：「我們知罪了，現在我們要去耶和華應許的地方。」 41 摩西說：「你們為什麼要違背耶和華的命令？你們不會成功的。 42 不要去！耶和華已經不在你們中間，你們會被敵人打敗。 43 你們會遇見亞瑪力人和迦南人，並喪身在他們刀下，因為你們離棄耶和華，祂不再與你們同在。」 44 儘管耶和華的約櫃和摩西都沒有出營，他們卻擅自上山頂去。 45 住在山區的亞瑪力人和迦南人下來擊潰了他們，一路追殺他們到何珥瑪。
獻祭的條例
15 耶和華對摩西說： 2 「你把以下條例告訴以色列人。
「你們進入耶和華賜給你們的那片土地後， 3 要用牛羊作火祭獻給耶和華，作蒙耶和華悅納的馨香之祭。不管是獻燔祭、平安祭、還願祭、自願獻的祭還是節期的祭，都當如此。 4 獻祭者要同時將一公斤細麵粉調上一升油作素祭獻給耶和華。 5 無論燔祭還是平安祭，每獻一隻羊羔，要同時獻上一升酒作奠祭； 6 每獻一隻公綿羊，要同時將兩公斤細麵粉調上一點二升油作素祭獻上， 7 還要獻一點二升酒作奠祭。這是蒙耶和華悅納的馨香之祭。 8 如果用公牛作燔祭、平安祭、還願祭或別的祭獻給耶和華， 9 就要同時將三公斤細麵粉調上兩升油作素祭獻上， 10 還要獻上兩升酒作奠祭。這是蒙耶和華悅納的馨香之祭。
11 「獻公牛、公綿羊、綿羊羔或山羊羔時，都要這樣辦理。 12 無論獻多少牲畜，每隻都要這樣辦理。 13 凡以色列人獻上蒙耶和華悅納的馨香火祭時，都要這樣辦理。 14 住在你們中間的外族人，不管是暫住還是世代居住的，若願意獻上蒙耶和華悅納的馨香火祭，也要這樣辦理。 15 以色列人和寄居的外族人都要遵守上面的條例，永世不變。你們在耶和華面前怎樣做，外族人也要怎樣做。 16 你們和寄居的外族人要遵行一樣的條例和規定。」
17 耶和華對摩西說： 18 「你把以下條例告訴以色列人。
「你們到達耶和華領你們去的地方， 19 吃當地的出產時，要拿出一份作舉祭獻給耶和華。 20 你們要用初熟的麥子磨麵做餅，當作舉祭獻上，好像獻麥場的舉祭一樣。 21 你們世世代代都要用初熟的麥子磨麵，當作舉祭獻給耶和華。
22 「如果你們無意間違背了耶和華藉摩西吩咐你們遵守的命令， 23 就是吩咐你們從祂頒佈之日起要世世代代遵守的命令， 24 如果是因會眾的無知而造成過失，全體會眾就要獻上一頭公牛犢作燔祭，作蒙耶和華悅納的馨香之祭，同時按規定獻上素祭和奠祭，外加一隻公山羊作贖罪祭。 25 祭司要為以色列全體會眾贖罪，這樣他們就得到了赦免，因為是無心之過，並且他們已經向耶和華獻上火祭和贖罪祭。 26 這樣，以色列全體會眾和寄居的外族人都必蒙赦免，因為無心之過牽涉到所有的人。
27 「倘若是個人無意間犯了罪，他就要獻上一隻一歲的母山羊作贖罪祭。 28 祭司要為這無意間犯罪的人在耶和華面前贖罪，使他獲得赦免。 29 無論是以色列人或是寄居的外族人，凡是犯無心之過的都要按這規例辦理。 30 但不管是以色列人還是外族人，若故意妄為，褻瀆了耶和華，都要被剷除， 31 因為他藐視耶和華的話，違背耶和華的命令，必須被剷除，罪責自負。」
處死違犯安息日者

The Levites
3 This is the account of the family of Aaron and Moses(A) at the time the Lord spoke to Moses at Mount Sinai.(B)
2 The names of the sons of Aaron were Nadab the firstborn(C) and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.(D) 3 Those were the names of Aaron’s sons, the anointed priests,(E) who were ordained to serve as priests. 4 Nadab and Abihu, however, died before the Lord(F) when they made an offering with unauthorized fire before him in the Desert of Sinai.(G) They had no sons, so Eleazar and Ithamar(H) served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.(I)
5 The Lord said to Moses, 6 “Bring the tribe of Levi(J) and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.(K) 7 They are to perform duties for him and for the whole community(L) at the tent of meeting by doing the work(M) of the tabernacle. 8 They are to take care of all the furnishings of the tent of meeting, fulfilling the obligations of the Israelites by doing the work of the tabernacle. 9 Give the Levites to Aaron and his sons;(N) they are the Israelites who are to be given wholly to him.[a] 10 Appoint Aaron(O) and his sons to serve as priests;(P) anyone else who approaches the sanctuary is to be put to death.”(Q)
11 The Lord also said to Moses, 12 “I have taken the Levites(R) from among the Israelites in place of the first male offspring(S) of every Israelite woman. The Levites are mine,(T) 13 for all the firstborn are mine.(U) When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set apart for myself every firstborn in Israel, whether human or animal. They are to be mine. I am the Lord.”(V)
14 The Lord said to Moses in the Desert of Sinai,(W) 15 “Count(X) the Levites by their families and clans. Count every male a month old or more.”(Y) 16 So Moses counted them, as he was commanded by the word of the Lord.
17 These were the names of the sons of Levi:(Z)
Gershon,(AA) Kohath(AB) and Merari.(AC)
18 These were the names of the Gershonite clans:
Libni and Shimei.(AD)
19 The Kohathite clans:
Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.(AE)
20 The Merarite clans:(AF)
Mahli and Mushi.(AG)
These were the Levite clans, according to their families.
21 To Gershon(AH) belonged the clans of the Libnites and Shimeites;(AI) these were the Gershonite clans. 22 The number of all the males a month old or more who were counted was 7,500. 23 The Gershonite clans were to camp on the west, behind the tabernacle.(AJ) 24 The leader of the families of the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael. 25 At the tent of meeting the Gershonites were responsible for the care of the tabernacle(AK) and tent, its coverings,(AL) the curtain at the entrance(AM) to the tent of meeting,(AN) 26 the curtains of the courtyard(AO), the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar,(AP) and the ropes(AQ)—and everything(AR) related to their use.
27 To Kohath(AS) belonged the clans of the Amramites, Izharites, Hebronites and Uzzielites;(AT) these were the Kohathite(AU) clans. 28 The number of all the males a month old or more(AV) was 8,600.[b] The Kohathites were responsible(AW) for the care of the sanctuary.(AX) 29 The Kohathite clans were to camp on the south side(AY) of the tabernacle. 30 The leader of the families of the Kohathite clans was Elizaphan(AZ) son of Uzziel. 31 They were responsible for the care of the ark,(BA) the table,(BB) the lampstand,(BC) the altars,(BD) the articles(BE) of the sanctuary used in ministering, the curtain,(BF) and everything related to their use.(BG) 32 The chief leader of the Levites was Eleazar(BH) son of Aaron, the priest. He was appointed over those who were responsible(BI) for the care of the sanctuary.(BJ)
33 To Merari belonged the clans of the Mahlites and the Mushites;(BK) these were the Merarite clans.(BL) 34 The number of all the males a month old or more(BM) who were counted was 6,200. 35 The leader of the families of the Merarite clans was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.(BN) 36 The Merarites were appointed(BO) to take care of the frames of the tabernacle,(BP) its crossbars,(BQ) posts,(BR) bases, all its equipment, and everything related to their use,(BS) 37 as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard(BT) with their bases, tent pegs(BU) and ropes.
38 Moses and Aaron and his sons were to camp to the east(BV) of the tabernacle, toward the sunrise, in front of the tent of meeting.(BW) They were responsible for the care of the sanctuary(BX) on behalf of the Israelites. Anyone else who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.(BY)
39 The total number of Levites counted(BZ) at the Lord’s command by Moses and Aaron according to their clans, including every male a month old or more, was 22,000.(CA)
40 The Lord said to Moses, “Count all the firstborn Israelite males who are a month old or more(CB) and make a list of their names.(CC) 41 Take the Levites for me in place of all the firstborn of the Israelites,(CD) and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites. I am the Lord.”(CE)
42 So Moses counted all the firstborn of the Israelites, as the Lord commanded him. 43 The total number of firstborn males a month old or more,(CF) listed by name, was 22,273.(CG)
44 The Lord also said to Moses, 45 “Take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock. The Levites are to be mine.(CH) I am the Lord.(CI) 46 To redeem(CJ) the 273 firstborn Israelites who exceed the number of the Levites, 47 collect five shekels[c](CK) for each one, according to the sanctuary shekel,(CL) which weighs twenty gerahs.(CM) 48 Give the money for the redemption(CN) of the additional Israelites to Aaron and his sons.”(CO)
49 So Moses collected the redemption money(CP) from those who exceeded the number redeemed by the Levites. 50 From the firstborn of the Israelites(CQ) he collected silver weighing 1,365 shekels,[d](CR) according to the sanctuary shekel. 51 Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons, as he was commanded by the word of the Lord.
The Kohathites
4 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: 2 “Take a census(CS) of the Kohathite branch of the Levites by their clans and families. 3 Count(CT) all the men from thirty to fifty years of age(CU) who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting.
4 “This is the work(CV) of the Kohathites(CW) at the tent of meeting: the care of the most holy things.(CX) 5 When the camp is to move,(CY) Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain(CZ) and put it over the ark of the covenant law.(DA) 6 Then they are to cover the curtain with a durable leather,[e](DB) spread a cloth of solid blue over that and put the poles(DC) in place.
7 “Over the table of the Presence(DD) they are to spread a blue cloth and put on it the plates, dishes and bowls, and the jars for drink offerings;(DE) the bread that is continually there(DF) is to remain on it. 8 They are to spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover that with the durable leather and put the poles(DG) in place.
9 “They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand that is for light, together with its lamps, its wick trimmers and trays,(DH) and all its jars for the olive oil used to supply it. 10 Then they are to wrap it and all its accessories in a covering of the durable leather and put it on a carrying frame.(DI)
11 “Over the gold altar(DJ) they are to spread a blue cloth and cover that with the durable leather and put the poles(DK) in place.
12 “They are to take all the articles(DL) used for ministering in the sanctuary, wrap them in a blue cloth, cover that with the durable leather and put them on a carrying frame.(DM)
13 “They are to remove the ashes(DN) from the bronze altar(DO) and spread a purple cloth over it. 14 Then they are to place on it all the utensils(DP) used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans,(DQ) meat forks,(DR) shovels(DS) and sprinkling bowls.(DT) Over it they are to spread a covering of the durable leather and put the poles(DU) in place.
15 “After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy furnishings and all the holy articles, and when the camp is ready to move,(DV) only then are the Kohathites(DW) to come and do the carrying.(DX) But they must not touch the holy things(DY) or they will die.(DZ) The Kohathites are to carry those things that are in the tent of meeting.
16 “Eleazar(EA) son of Aaron, the priest, is to have charge of the oil for the light,(EB) the fragrant incense,(EC) the regular grain offering(ED) and the anointing oil. He is to be in charge of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including its holy furnishings and articles.”
17 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 18 “See that the Kohathite tribal clans are not destroyed from among the Levites. 19 So that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things,(EE) do this for them: Aaron and his sons(EF) are to go into the sanctuary and assign to each man his work and what he is to carry.(EG) 20 But the Kohathites must not go in to look(EH) at the holy things, even for a moment, or they will die.”
The Gershonites
21 The Lord said to Moses, 22 “Take a census also of the Gershonites by their families and clans. 23 Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age(EI) who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting.
24 “This is the service of the Gershonite clans in their carrying and their other work: 25 They are to carry the curtains of the tabernacle,(EJ) that is, the tent of meeting,(EK) its covering(EL) and its outer covering of durable leather, the curtains for the entrance to the tent of meeting, 26 the curtains of the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar,(EM) the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard,(EN) the ropes and all the equipment(EO) used in the service of the tent. The Gershonites are to do all that needs to be done with these things. 27 All their service, whether carrying or doing other work, is to be done under the direction of Aaron and his sons.(EP) You shall assign to them as their responsibility(EQ) all they are to carry. 28 This is the service of the Gershonite clans(ER) at the tent of meeting. Their duties are to be under the direction of Ithamar(ES) son of Aaron, the priest.
The Merarites
29 “Count(ET) the Merarites by their clans and families.(EU) 30 Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting. 31 As part of all their service at the tent, they are to carry the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts and bases,(EV) 32 as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, ropes,(EW) all their equipment and everything related to their use. Assign to each man the specific things he is to carry. 33 This is the service of the Merarite clans as they work at the tent of meeting under the direction of Ithamar(EX) son of Aaron, the priest.”
The Numbering of the Levite Clans
34 Moses, Aaron and the leaders of the community counted the Kohathites(EY) by their clans and families. 35 All the men from thirty to fifty years of age(EZ) who came to serve in the work at the tent of meeting, 36 counted by clans, were 2,750. 37 This was the total of all those in the Kohathite clans(FA) who served at the tent of meeting. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command through Moses.
38 The Gershonites(FB) were counted by their clans and families. 39 All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to serve in the work at the tent of meeting, 40 counted by their clans and families, were 2,630. 41 This was the total of those in the Gershonite clans who served at the tent of meeting. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command.
42 The Merarites were counted by their clans and families. 43 All the men from thirty to fifty years of age(FC) who came to serve in the work at the tent of meeting, 44 counted by their clans, were 3,200. 45 This was the total of those in the Merarite clans.(FD) Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command through Moses.
46 So Moses, Aaron and the leaders of Israel counted(FE) all the Levites by their clans and families. 47 All the men from thirty to fifty years of age(FF) who came to do the work of serving and carrying the tent of meeting 48 numbered 8,580.(FG) 49 At the Lord’s command through Moses, each was assigned his work and told what to carry.
Thus they were counted,(FH) as the Lord commanded Moses.
The Purity of the Camp
5 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Command the Israelites to send away from the camp anyone who has a defiling skin disease[f](FI) or a discharge(FJ) of any kind, or who is ceremonially unclean(FK) because of a dead body.(FL) 3 Send away male and female alike; send them outside the camp so they will not defile their camp, where I dwell among them.(FM)” 4 The Israelites did so; they sent them outside the camp. They did just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
Restitution for Wrongs
5 The Lord said to Moses, 6 “Say to the Israelites: ‘Any man or woman who wrongs another in any way[g] and so is unfaithful(FN) to the Lord is guilty(FO) 7 and must confess(FP) the sin they have committed. They must make full restitution(FQ) for the wrong they have done, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the person they have wronged. 8 But if that person has no close relative to whom restitution can be made for the wrong, the restitution belongs to the Lord and must be given to the priest, along with the ram(FR) with which atonement is made for the wrongdoer.(FS) 9 All the sacred contributions the Israelites bring to a priest will belong to him.(FT) 10 Sacred things belong to their owners, but what they give to the priest will belong to the priest.(FU)’”
The Test for an Unfaithful Wife
11 Then the Lord said to Moses, 12 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man’s wife goes astray(FV) and is unfaithful to him 13 so that another man has sexual relations with her,(FW) and this is hidden from her husband and her impurity is undetected (since there is no witness against her and she has not been caught in the act), 14 and if feelings of jealousy(FX) come over her husband and he suspects his wife and she is impure—or if he is jealous and suspects her even though she is not impure— 15 then he is to take his wife to the priest. He must also take an offering of a tenth of an ephah[h](FY) of barley flour(FZ) on her behalf. He must not pour olive oil on it or put incense on it, because it is a grain offering for jealousy,(GA) a reminder-offering(GB) to draw attention to wrongdoing.
16 “‘The priest shall bring her and have her stand before the Lord. 17 Then he shall take some holy water in a clay jar and put some dust from the tabernacle floor into the water. 18 After the priest has had the woman stand before the Lord, he shall loosen her hair(GC) and place in her hands the reminder-offering, the grain offering for jealousy,(GD) while he himself holds the bitter water that brings a curse.(GE) 19 Then the priest shall put the woman under oath and say to her, “If no other man has had sexual relations with you and you have not gone astray(GF) and become impure while married to your husband, may this bitter water that brings a curse(GG) not harm you. 20 But if you have gone astray(GH) while married to your husband and you have made yourself impure by having sexual relations with a man other than your husband”— 21 here the priest is to put the woman under this curse(GI)—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse[i] among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. 22 May this water(GJ) that brings a curse(GK) enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.”
“‘Then the woman is to say, “Amen. So be it.(GL)”
23 “‘The priest is to write these curses on a scroll(GM) and then wash them off into the bitter water. 24 He shall make the woman drink the bitter water that brings a curse, and this water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering will enter her. 25 The priest is to take from her hands the grain offering for jealousy, wave it before the Lord(GN) and bring it to the altar. 26 The priest is then to take a handful of the grain offering as a memorial[j] offering(GO) and burn it on the altar; after that, he is to have the woman drink the water. 27 If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse.(GP) 28 If, however, the woman has not made herself impure, but is clean, she will be cleared of guilt and will be able to have children.
29 “‘This, then, is the law of jealousy when a woman goes astray(GQ) and makes herself impure while married to her husband, 30 or when feelings of jealousy(GR) come over a man because he suspects his wife. The priest is to have her stand before the Lord and is to apply this entire law to her. 31 The husband will be innocent of any wrongdoing, but the woman will bear the consequences(GS) of her sin.’”
The Nazirite
6 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man or woman wants to make a special vow(GT), a vow of dedication(GU) to the Lord as a Nazirite,(GV) 3 they must abstain from wine(GW) and other fermented drink and must not drink vinegar(GX) made from wine or other fermented drink. They must not drink grape juice or eat grapes(GY) or raisins. 4 As long as they remain under their Nazirite vow, they must not eat anything that comes from the grapevine, not even the seeds or skins.
5 “‘During the entire period of their Nazirite vow, no razor(GZ) may be used on their head.(HA) They must be holy until the period of their dedication to the Lord is over; they must let their hair grow long.
6 “‘Throughout the period of their dedication to the Lord, the Nazirite must not go near a dead body.(HB) 7 Even if their own father or mother or brother or sister dies, they must not make themselves ceremonially unclean(HC) on account of them, because the symbol of their dedication to God is on their head. 8 Throughout the period of their dedication, they are consecrated to the Lord.
9 “‘If someone dies suddenly in the Nazirite’s presence, thus defiling the hair that symbolizes their dedication,(HD) they must shave their head on the seventh day—the day of their cleansing.(HE) 10 Then on the eighth day(HF) they must bring two doves or two young pigeons(HG) to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting.(HH) 11 The priest is to offer one as a sin offering[k](HI) and the other as a burnt offering(HJ) to make atonement(HK) for the Nazirite because they sinned by being in the presence of the dead body. That same day they are to consecrate their head again. 12 They must rededicate themselves to the Lord for the same period of dedication and must bring a year-old male lamb(HL) as a guilt offering.(HM) The previous days do not count, because they became defiled during their period of dedication.
13 “‘Now this is the law of the Nazirite when the period of their dedication is over.(HN) They are to be brought to the entrance to the tent of meeting.(HO) 14 There they are to present their offerings to the Lord: a year-old male lamb without defect(HP) for a burnt offering, a year-old ewe lamb without defect for a sin offering,(HQ) a ram(HR) without defect for a fellowship offering,(HS) 15 together with their grain offerings(HT) and drink offerings,(HU) and a basket of bread made with the finest flour and without yeast—thick loaves with olive oil mixed in, and thin loaves brushed with olive oil.(HV)
16 “‘The priest is to present all these(HW) before the Lord(HX) and make the sin offering and the burnt offering.(HY) 17 He is to present the basket of unleavened bread and is to sacrifice the ram as a fellowship offering(HZ) to the Lord, together with its grain offering(IA) and drink offering.(IB)
18 “‘Then at the entrance to the tent of meeting, the Nazirite must shave off the hair that symbolizes their dedication.(IC) They are to take the hair and put it in the fire that is under the sacrifice of the fellowship offering.
19 “‘After the Nazirite has shaved off the hair that symbolizes their dedication, the priest is to place in their hands a boiled shoulder of the ram, and one thick loaf and one thin loaf from the basket, both made without yeast.(ID) 20 The priest shall then wave these before the Lord as a wave offering;(IE) they are holy(IF) and belong to the priest, together with the breast that was waved and the thigh that was presented.(IG) After that, the Nazirite may drink wine.(IH)
21 “‘This is the law of the Nazirite(II) who vows offerings to the Lord in accordance with their dedication, in addition to whatever else they can afford. They must fulfill the vows(IJ) they have made, according to the law of the Nazirite.’”
The Priestly Blessing
22 The Lord said to Moses, 23 “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless(IK) the Israelites. Say to them:
24 “‘“The Lord bless you(IL)
and keep you;(IM)
25 the Lord make his face shine on you(IN)
and be gracious to you;(IO)
26 the Lord turn his face(IP) toward you
and give you peace.(IQ)”’
27 “So they will put my name(IR) on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”
Offerings at the Dedication of the Tabernacle
7 When Moses finished setting up the tabernacle,(IS) he anointed(IT) and consecrated it and all its furnishings.(IU) He also anointed and consecrated the altar and all its utensils.(IV) 2 Then the leaders of Israel,(IW) the heads of families who were the tribal leaders in charge of those who were counted,(IX) made offerings. 3 They brought as their gifts before the Lord six covered carts(IY) and twelve oxen—an ox from each leader and a cart from every two. These they presented before the tabernacle.
4 The Lord said to Moses, 5 “Accept these from them, that they may be used in the work at the tent of meeting. Give them to the Levites as each man’s work requires.”
6 So Moses took the carts and oxen and gave them to the Levites. 7 He gave two carts and four oxen to the Gershonites,(IZ) as their work required, 8 and he gave four carts and eight oxen to the Merarites,(JA) as their work required. They were all under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron, the priest. 9 But Moses did not give any to the Kohathites,(JB) because they were to carry on their shoulders(JC) the holy things, for which they were responsible.
10 When the altar was anointed,(JD) the leaders brought their offerings for its dedication(JE) and presented them before the altar. 11 For the Lord had said to Moses, “Each day one leader is to bring his offering for the dedication of the altar.”
12 The one who brought his offering on the first day was Nahshon(JF) son of Amminadab of the tribe of Judah.
13 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels[l] and one silver sprinkling bowl(JG) weighing seventy shekels,[m](JH) both according to the sanctuary shekel,(JI) each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering;(JJ) 14 one gold dish(JK) weighing ten shekels,[n](JL) filled with incense;(JM) 15 one young bull,(JN) one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering;(JO) 16 one male goat for a sin offering[o];(JP) 17 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering.(JQ) This was the offering of Nahshon son of Amminadab.(JR)
18 On the second day Nethanel son of Zuar,(JS) the leader of Issachar, brought his offering.
19 The offering he brought was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 20 one gold dish(JT) weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 21 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 22 one male goat for a sin offering; 23 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Nethanel son of Zuar.
24 On the third day, Eliab son of Helon,(JU) the leader of the people of Zebulun, brought his offering.
25 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 26 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 27 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 28 one male goat for a sin offering; 29 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Eliab son of Helon.
30 On the fourth day Elizur son of Shedeur,(JV) the leader of the people of Reuben, brought his offering.
31 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 32 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 33 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 34 one male goat for a sin offering; 35 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Elizur son of Shedeur.
36 On the fifth day Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai,(JW) the leader of the people of Simeon, brought his offering.
37 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 38 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 39 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 40 one male goat for a sin offering; 41 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.
42 On the sixth day Eliasaph son of Deuel,(JX) the leader of the people of Gad, brought his offering.
43 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 44 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 45 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 46 one male goat for a sin offering; 47 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Eliasaph son of Deuel.
48 On the seventh day Elishama son of Ammihud,(JY) the leader of the people of Ephraim, brought his offering.
49 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 50 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 51 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 52 one male goat for a sin offering; 53 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Elishama son of Ammihud.(JZ)
54 On the eighth day Gamaliel son of Pedahzur,(KA) the leader of the people of Manasseh, brought his offering.
55 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 56 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 57 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 58 one male goat for a sin offering; 59 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.
60 On the ninth day Abidan son of Gideoni,(KB) the leader of the people of Benjamin, brought his offering.
61 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 62 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 63 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 64 one male goat for a sin offering; 65 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Abidan son of Gideoni.
66 On the tenth day Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai,(KC) the leader of the people of Dan, brought his offering.
67 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 68 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 69 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 70 one male goat for a sin offering; 71 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.
72 On the eleventh day Pagiel son of Okran,(KD) the leader of the people of Asher, brought his offering.
73 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 74 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 75 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 76 one male goat for a sin offering; 77 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Pagiel son of Okran.
78 On the twelfth day Ahira son of Enan,(KE) the leader of the people of Naphtali, brought his offering.
79 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; 80 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; 81 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; 82 one male goat for a sin offering; 83 and two oxen, five rams, five male goats and five male lambs a year old to be sacrificed as a fellowship offering. This was the offering of Ahira son of Enan.
84 These were the offerings of the Israelite leaders for the dedication of the altar when it was anointed:(KF) twelve silver plates, twelve silver sprinkling bowls(KG) and twelve gold dishes.(KH) 85 Each silver plate weighed a hundred and thirty shekels, and each sprinkling bowl seventy shekels. Altogether, the silver dishes weighed two thousand four hundred shekels,[p] according to the sanctuary shekel.(KI) 86 The twelve gold dishes filled with incense weighed ten shekels each, according to the sanctuary shekel.(KJ) Altogether, the gold dishes weighed a hundred and twenty shekels.[q] 87 The total number of animals for the burnt offering(KK) came to twelve young bulls, twelve rams and twelve male lambs a year old, together with their grain offering.(KL) Twelve male goats were used for the sin offering.(KM) 88 The total number of animals for the sacrifice of the fellowship offering(KN) came to twenty-four oxen, sixty rams, sixty male goats and sixty male lambs(KO) a year old. These were the offerings for the dedication of the altar after it was anointed.(KP)
89 When Moses entered the tent of meeting(KQ) to speak with the Lord,(KR) he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover(KS) on the ark of the covenant law.(KT) In this way the Lord spoke to him.
Setting Up the Lamps
8 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to Aaron and say to him, ‘When you set up the lamps, see that all seven light up the area in front of the lampstand.(KU)’”
3 Aaron did so; he set up the lamps so that they faced forward on the lampstand, just as the Lord commanded Moses.
