亞倫的杖
17 耶和華對摩西說： 2 「你叫以色列各支派的首領每人拿一根杖來，共十二根，你要在上面寫上他們各人的名字。 3 你要把亞倫的名字寫在利未支派的杖上，每個支派的首領都要有一根杖。 4 你要把這些杖放在會幕內的約櫃前，就是我跟你會面的地方。 5 誰的杖發芽，誰就是我所揀選的人。這樣，我必消除以色列人對你們的埋怨。」 6 於是，摩西吩咐以色列每個支派的首領把杖都交給他，包括亞倫的杖在內，共十二根。 7 他把杖放在放約櫃的聖幕裡——耶和華面前。 8 第二天，摩西進入約櫃所在的聖幕裡，看見利未支派亞倫的杖不單發了芽，長了花蕾，還開了花，結出熟杏。 9 摩西就從耶和華那裡拿出所有的杖給以色列人看。他們看後，各位首領便取回自己的杖。 10 耶和華對摩西說：「把亞倫的杖放回約櫃前，讓叛逆之徒引以為戒。這樣，你就可以平息他們對我的怨言，使他們不致滅亡。」 11 摩西照耶和華的吩咐行了。 12 以色列人對摩西說：「完了！我們死定了！我們全死定了！ 13 凡走近耶和華聖幕的都要死，我們豈不是全都要滅亡嗎？」

17 耶和华对摩西说：（本节在《马索拉文本》为17:16） 2 “你要吩咐以色列人，要从他们手中取杖，按着父家每支派一根，从他们所有的领袖，按着他们的父家，共取十二根杖，你要把各人的名字写在各人的杖上； 3 又要把亚伦的名字写在利未的杖上，因为照着他们父家各族长必有一根杖。 4 你要把这些杖放在会幕里约柜前，就是我和你们相会的地方。 5 我拣选的那人，他的杖必发芽；这样，我就必使以色列人向你们所发的怨言止息，不再达到我耳中。” 6 于是摩西吩咐以色列人，他们所有的领袖都把杖交给他，按着他们的父家，每个领袖一根杖，共有十二根杖；亚伦的杖也在其中。 7 摩西就把杖放在约柜的会幕里，在耶和华面前。

17 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.
3 And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
4 And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.
5 And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.
6 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
7 And Moses laid up the rods before the Lord in the tabernacle of witness.
8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
10 And the Lord said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
11 And Moses did so: as the Lord commanded him, so did he.
12 And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.
13 Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the Lord shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?
