10 耶和華對摩西說： 2 「你要用銀子打造兩支號，用來招聚會眾和發出拔營的號令。 3 吹響兩支號時，全體會眾要聚集到你那裡，即會幕門口。 4 如果只吹響一支號，擔任首領的以色列各族長要聚集到你那裡。 5 如果吹響拔營的號令，在東面紮營的就要啟行； 6 第二次吹響拔營號令時，在南面紮營的就要啟行。拔營號令是啟行的信號。 7 但吹號招聚會眾時，不要用拔營號令。 8 做祭司的亞倫子孫要負責吹號，這是世代不變的律例。 9 當你們在自己的土地上跟敵人作戰時，要吹號，你們的上帝耶和華必眷顧你們，救你們脫離敵人。 10 在節期和朔日[a]這些歡樂的日子獻燔祭和平安祭的時候，你們要吹號，好在你們的上帝面前蒙眷顧。我是你們的上帝耶和華。」

As duas trombetas de prata
10 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés: 2 “Faz duas cornetas de prata batida, para com elas convocares o povo para uma reunião, ou para levantarem o acampamento. 3 Quando ambas as trombetas tocarem ao mesmo tempo, o povo ficará a saber que deverá juntar-se à entrada da tenda do encontro. 4 Se for uma só a tocar, então é porque são só convocados os chefes das tribos para virem ter contigo.
5-7 Serão também precisos toques diferentes para distinguir entre a convocação de toda a assembleia do povo e o sinal de levantar o acampamento e continuar a marcha. Quando se tratar do sinal de prosseguir a deslocação, as tribos que estão a oriente do tabernáculo serão as primeiras a partir; ao segundo sinal, seguirão as que estão a sul.
8 Só aos sacerdotes é permitido tocar as cornetas. É uma ordem permanente, a ser seguida por toda as gerações vindouras.
9 Quando chegarem à terra prometida e tiverem de combater, o Senhor, vosso Deus, vos ouvirá e vos salvará dos vossos inimigos, quando tocarem em sinal de alarme, com estas duas cornetas. 10 Usem-nas igualmente em tempos de alegria, como por exemplo nas vossas festividades anuais, assim como no início de cada mês, para se alegrarem com os vossos holocaustos e sacrifícios de paz, como memorial para o povo de Israel da aliança que Deus fez convosco. Eu sou o Senhor, o vosso Deus.”
Os israelitas deixam o Sinai
11 A nuvem ergueu-se então sobre o tabernáculo no dia 20 do segundo mês do segundo ano após a saída de Israel do Egito; 12 e foi assim que os Israelitas deixaram o deserto de Sinai, seguindo a nuvem até se deter sobre o deserto de Parã. 13 Esta foi a sua primeira deslocação após terem recebido as instruções que o Senhor deu a Moisés respeitantes às viagens que teriam de realizar.
14 À cabeça da coluna ia a tribo de Judá, agrupada atrás do seu pendão, conduzida por Nassom, o filho de Aminadabe. 15 Logo a seguir vinha a tribo de Issacar, chefiada por Netanel, filho de Zuar; 16 após eles, a tribo de Zebulão, com Eliabe, filho de Helom, à frente.
17 O tabernáculo fora desarmado e os homens dos grupos de Gerson e de Merari, da tribo de Levi, vinham logo a seguir na linha de marcha, transportando o tabernáculo aos ombros.
18 Vinha a seguir a bandeira do campo de Rúben, com Elizur, filho de Sedeur, conduzindo o povo. 19 E depois a tribo de Simeão, trazendo à cabeça Selumiel, filho de Zurisadai; 20 após eles, a tribo de Gad, comandados por Eliasafe, filho de Deuel.
21 Seguiam-se os coatitas, carregando os objetos que lhes competiam, do interior do santuário. Quando estes chegavam ao novo local, já os outros tinham montado a estrutura do tabernáculo.
22 A seguir, na ordem da coluna, vinha a tribo de Efraim, sob a sua bandeira, conduzida por Elisama, filho de Amiude; 23 e depois a tribo de Manassés, com Gamaliel, filho de Pedazur, à frente, 24 e a tribo de Benjamim, conduzida por Abidã, filho de Gideoni.
25 A coluna fechava com as seguintes três tribos, ordenadas assim: Dan sob a chefia de Aiezer, filho de Amisadai; 26 Aser, com Pagiel, filho de Ocrã, como chefe; 27 e Naftali, conduzida por Airá, filho de Enã.
28 Esta era a ordem pela qual se deslocavam as tribos.
29 Um dia, Moisés disse para o seu cunhado Hobabe, filho de Reuel, midianita, sogro de Moisés: “Estamos, enfim, a caminhar para a terra prometida! Vem connosco e te faremos bem. Olha que o Senhor fez promessas maravilhosas a Israel!”
30 Mas ele respondeu-lhe: “Eu tenho de regressar à minha terra e à minha família.”
31 “Fica connosco”, insistiu Moisés, “porque como conheces bem todos os caminhos do deserto, serias uma grande ajuda para nós. 32 Já sabes, se vieres, partilharás de todas as boas coisas que o Senhor nos der e fizer.”
33 E assim viajaram durante três dias, após terem deixado o monte do Senhor, levando a arca da aliança do Senhor à cabeça da coluna, para lhes mostrar o local onde deviam parar. 34 Era dia quando iniciaram a marcha, com a nuvem deslocando-se à sua frente. 35 Quando a arca partia, Moisés dizia:
“Levanta-te, Senhor, e dispersa os teus inimigos!
Que fujam diante de ti!”
36 Assim também, quando a arca tornava a ser posta no chão, dizia:

The Silver Trumpets
10 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Make two trumpets of hammered silver to use for calling the people together and for breaking camp. 3 When long blasts are sounded on both trumpets, the whole community is to gather around you at the entrance to the Tent of my presence. 4 But when only one trumpet is sounded, then only the leaders of the clans are to gather around you. 5 When short blasts are sounded, the tribes camped on the east will move out. 6 When short blasts are sounded a second time, the tribes on the south will move out. So short blasts are to be sounded to break camp, 7 but in order to call the community together, long blasts are to be sounded. 8 The trumpets are to be blown by Aaron's sons, the priests.
“The following rule is to be observed for all time to come. 9 When you are at war in your land, defending yourselves against an enemy who has attacked you, sound the signal for battle on these trumpets. I, the Lord your God, will help you and save you from your enemies. 10 Also on joyful occasions—at your New Moon Festivals and your other religious festivals—you are to blow the trumpets when you present your burnt offerings and your fellowship offerings. Then I will help you. I am the Lord your God.”
The Israelites Break Camp
11 On the twentieth day of the second month in the second year after the people left Egypt, the cloud over the Tent of the Lord's presence lifted, 12 and the Israelites started on their journey out of the Sinai Desert. The cloud came to rest in the wilderness of Paran.
13 They began to march at the command of the Lord through Moses, 14 and each time they moved, they were in the same order. Those under the banner of the division led by the tribe of Judah started out first, company by company, with Nahshon son of Amminadab in command. 15 Nethanel son of Zuar was in command of the tribe of Issachar, 16 and Eliab son of Helon was in command of the tribe of Zebulun.
17 Then the Tent would be taken down, and the clans of Gershon and Merari, who carried it, would start out.
18 Next, those under the banner of the division led by the tribe of Reuben would start out, company by company, with Elizur son of Shedeur in command. 19 Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai was in command of the tribe of Simeon, 20 and Eliasaph son of Deuel was in command of the tribe of Gad.
21 Then the Levite clan of Kohath would start out, carrying the sacred objects. By the time they arrived at the next camp, the Tent had been set up again.
22 Next, those under the banner of the division led by the tribe of Ephraim would start out, company by company, with Elishama son of Ammihud in command. 23 Gamaliel son of Pedahzur was in command of the tribe of Manasseh, 24 and Abidan son of Gideoni was in command of the tribe of Benjamin.
25 Finally, those under the banner of the division led by the tribe of Dan, serving as the rear guard of all the divisions, would start out, company by company, with Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai in command. 26 Pagiel son of Ochran was in command of the tribe of Asher, 27 and Ahira son of Enan was in command of the tribe of Naphtali. 28 This, then, was the order of march, company by company, whenever the Israelites broke camp and set out.
29 Moses said to his brother-in-law Hobab son of Jethro the Midianite, “We are about to start out for the place which the Lord said he would give us. He has promised to make Israel prosperous, so come with us, and we will share our prosperity with you.”
30 Hobab answered, “No, I am going back to my native land.”
31 “Please don't leave us,” Moses said. “You know where we can camp in the wilderness, and you can be our guide. 32 If you come with us, we will share with you all the blessings that the Lord gives us.”
The People Set Out
33 When the people left Sinai, the holy mountain, they traveled three days. The Lord's Covenant Box always went ahead of them to find a place for them to camp. 34 As they moved on from each camp, the cloud of the Lord was over them by day.
35 (A)Whenever the Covenant Box started out, Moses would say, “Arise, Lord; scatter your enemies and put to flight those who hate you!” 36 And whenever it stopped, he would say, “Return, Lord, to the thousands of families of Israel.”[a]
