²And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

³Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

⁴And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

²He began to build in the second month of the fourth year of his reign. ³These are Solomon's ^(A)measurements^[a] for building the house of God: ^(B)the length, in cubits^[b] of the old standard, was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits. ⁴The vestibule in front of the nave of the house was twenty cubits long, equal to the width of the house,^[c] and its height was 120 cubits. He overlaid it on the inside with pure gold.

²And he began to build on the second day of the second month in the fourth year of his reign.

³This is the foundation ^(A)which Solomon laid for building the house of God: The length was sixty cubits (by cubits according to the former measure) and the width twenty cubits. ⁴And the ^(B)vestibule that was in front of ^[a]the sanctuary was twenty cubits long across the width of the house, and the height was ^[b]one hundred and twenty. He overlaid the inside with pure gold.
