2 然而，耶和華上帝對祂的僕人示瑪雅說： 3 「你去告訴所羅門的兒子猶大王羅波安和所有住在猶大和便雅憫的以色列人， 4 耶和華這樣說，『你們不要上去與弟兄交戰，都回家吧，因為這事出於我。』」眾人聽從了耶和華的話，沒有去攻打耶羅波安，各自回家去了。

2 But this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah(A) the man of God: 3 “Say to Rehoboam son of Solomon king of Judah and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, 4 ‘This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your fellow Israelites.(B) Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.’” So they obeyed the words of the Lord and turned back from marching against Jeroboam.
