復述猶大的後裔
4 猶大的兒子是法勒斯、希斯崙、迦米、戶珥、朔巴。 2 朔巴的兒子利亞雅生雅哈，雅哈生亞戶買和拉哈。他們都屬於瑣拉人的宗族。 3 以坦的兒子[a]是耶斯列、伊施瑪和伊得巴，女兒名叫哈悉勒玻尼。 4 基多的父親是毗努伊勒，戶沙的父親是以謝珥。這些人都是伯利恆的父親、以法她的長子戶珥的後代。 5 提哥亞的父親亞施戶有兩個妻子，一個名叫希拉，一個名叫拿拉。 6 拿拉給他生了亞戶撒、希弗、提米尼和哈轄斯他利。這些都是拿拉的兒子。 7 希拉的兒子是洗列、瑣轄和伊提南。 8 哥斯生亞諾和瑣比巴，他也是哈倫的兒子亞哈黑宗族的祖先。 9 雅比斯比他的眾弟兄尊貴，他母親給他取名叫雅比斯，意思是：「我生他時非常痛苦」。 10 雅比斯向以色列的上帝禱告說：「願你賜福給我，擴大我的疆土，與我同在，使我遠離患難和痛苦。」上帝答應了他的祈求。

21 猶大有個兒子名叫示拉。示拉的後代是利迦的父親珥、瑪利沙的父親拉大、在亞實比織細麻布的各家族、 22 約敬、哥西巴人、約阿施以及統治摩押和雅叔比利恆的薩拉。這都是古代的記錄。 23 他們都是住在尼他英和基低拉的陶匠，他們在那裡為王效力。
西緬的後裔
24 西緬的兒子是尼姆利、雅憫、雅立、謝拉和掃羅。 25 掃羅的兒子是沙龍，沙龍的兒子是米比衫，米比衫的兒子是米施瑪， 26 米施瑪的兒子是哈姆利，哈姆利的兒子是撒刻，撒刻的兒子是示每。 27 示每有十六個兒子和六個女兒，他弟兄的兒女不多。他們整個宗族的人不如猶大宗族的人多。 28 西緬人住在別示巴、摩拉大、哈薩·書亞、 29 辟拉、以森、陀臘、 30 彼土利、何珥瑪、洗革拉、 31 伯·瑪嘉博、哈薩·蘇撒、伯·比利、沙拉音。在大衛做王以前，這些都是西緬人的城邑。 32 他們還有五座城邑：以坦、亞因、臨門、陀健、亞珊， 33 以及這些城附近的村莊，遠至巴力。這些都是他們的住處。他們有自己的家譜。
34 西緬的後代還有米所巴、雅米勒、亞瑪謝的兒子約沙、 35 約珥、約示比的兒子耶戶。約示比是西萊雅的兒子，西萊雅是亞薛的兒子。 36 西緬的後代還有以利約乃、雅哥巴、約朔海、亞帥雅、亞底業、耶西篾、比拿雅、 37 示非的兒子細撒。示非是亞龍的兒子，亞龍是耶大雅的兒子，耶大雅是申利的兒子，申利是示瑪雅的兒子。 38 以上所提的這些人都是族長，各宗族都人丁興旺。 39 他們前往平原東邊的基多谷尋找牧羊的草場， 40 找到了一片肥沃的草場，又遼闊又安靜。從前含族人在那裡居住。 41 在猶大王希西迦執政期間，以上這些西緬人的族長來攻打含族人的駐地和那裡所有的米烏尼人，消滅了他們，佔據了那裡，一直住到今天，因為那裡有可以牧羊的草場。 42 有五百個西緬人在以示的兒子毗拉提、尼利雅、利法雅和烏薛的帶領下前往西珥山， 43 剷除了殘餘的亞瑪力人，從此定居在那裡，直到今日。

2 Y Reaía hijo de Sobal, engendró a Jahat; y Jahat engendró a Ahumai y a Lahad. Estas son las familias de los zoratitas.
3 Y éstas son las del padre de Etam: Jezreel, Isma, e Ibdas. Y el nombre de su hermana fue Haze-lelponi.
4 Y Penuel fue padre de Gedor, y Ezer padre de Husa. Estos fueron los hijos de Hur, primogénito de Efrata, padre de Belén.
5 Y Asur padre de Tecoa tuvo dos mujeres, a saber, Hela, y Naara.
6 Y Naara le dio a luz a Ahuzam, Hefer, Temeni, y Ahastari. Estos fueron los hijos de Naara.

11 Y Quelub hermano de Súa engendró a Mehir, el cual fue padre de Estón.
12 Y Estón engendró a Bet-rafa, a Paseah, y a Tehina, padre de la ciudad de Nahas; éstos son los varones de Reca.
13 Los hijos de Cenaz: Otoniel, y Seraías. Los hijos de Otoniel: Hatat,
14 y Meonotai, el cual engendró a Ofra. Y Seraías engendró a Joab, padre de los habitantes en el valle llamado de Carisim, porque fueron artífices.
15 Los hijos de Caleb hijo de Jefone: Iru, Ela, y Naam; e hijo de Ela, fue Cenaz.
16 Los hijos de Jehalelel: Zif, Zifa, Tirías, y Asareel.
17 Y los hijos de Esdras: Jeter, Mered, Efer, y Jalón; también engendró a María, Samai, y a Isba, padre de Estemoa.
18 Y su mujer Jehudaía le dio a luz a Jered padre de Gedor, a Heber padre de Soco, y a Jecutiel padre de Zanoa. Estos fueron los hijos de Bitia hija de Faraón, con la cual se casó Mered.
19 Y los hijos de la mujer de Hodías, hermana de Naham, fueron el padre de Keila de Garmi, y Estemoa de Maacati.
20 Y los hijos de Simón: Amnón, y Rina, hijo de Hanán, y Tilón. Y los hijos de Isi: Zohet, y Benzohet.
21 Los hijos de Sela, hijo de Judá: Er, padre de Leca, y Laada, padre de Maresa, y de la familia de la casa del oficio del lino en la casa de Asbea;
22 y Joacim, y los varones de Cozeba, Joás, y Saraf, los cuales dominaron en Moab, y Jasubi-lehem, que son palabras antiguas.
23 Estos fueron alfareros y se hallaban en medio de plantíos y cercados, los cuales moraron allá con el rey en su obra.
24 ¶ Los hijos de Simeón: Nemuel, Jamín, Jarib, Zera, Saúl;
25 también Salum su hijo, Mibsam su hijo, y Misma su hijo.
26 Los hijos de Misma: Hamuel su hijo, Zacur su hijo, y Simei su hijo.
27 Los hijos de Simei fueron dieciséis, y seis hijas; mas sus hermanos no tuvieron muchos hijos, ni multiplicaron toda su familia como los hijos de Judá.
28 Y habitaron en Beerseba, en Molada, en Hazar-sual,
29 en Bilha, en Ezem, en Tolad,
30 en Betuel, en Horma, y en Siclag.
31 En Bet-marcabot, en Hazar-susim, en Bet-birai, y en Saaraim. Estas fueron sus ciudades hasta el reino de David.
32 Y sus aldeas fueron Etam, Aín, Rimón, Toquén, y Asán, cinco ciudades;
33 y todos su villas que estaban en contorno de estas ciudades hasta Baal. Esta fue su habitación, y ésta su descendencia.
34 Y Mesobab, Jamlec, y Josías hijo de Amasías;
35 Joel, Jehú hijo de Josibías, hijo de Seraías, hijo de Asiel;
36 Elioenai, Jaacoba, Jesohaía, Asaías, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaía;
37 y Ziza hijo de Sifi, hijo de Alón, hijo de Jedaías, hijo de Simri, hijo de Semaías.
38 Estos por sus nombres eran los príncipes en sus familias, y que fueron multiplicados en gran manera en las casas de sus padres.
39 Y llegaron hasta la entrada de Gedor hasta el oriente del valle, buscando pastos para sus ganados.
40 Y hallaron gruesos y buenos pastos, y tierra ancha y espaciosa, quieta y reposada, porque los hijos de Cam la habitaban antes.
41 Y éstos que han sido escritos por sus nombres, vinieron en días de Ezequías rey de Judá, e hirieron sus tiendas y estancias que allí hallaron, y los destruyeron, hasta hoy, y habitaron allí en lugar de ellos; por cuanto había allí pastos para sus ganados.
42 Y asimismo quinientos hombres de ellos, de los hijos de Simeón, se fueron al monte de Seir, llevando por capitanes a Pelatías, a Nearías, a Refaías, y a Uziel, hijos de Isi;
43 e hirieron las reliquias que habían quedado de Amalec, y habitaron allí hasta hoy.

Descendientes de Judá
4 Los descendientes de Judá en línea directa fueron
Fares, Jezrón, Carmí, Hur y Sobal.
2 Reaías, hijo de Sobal, fue el padre de Yajat y Yajat fue el padre de Ajumay y de Lahad. Estas fueron las familias de los zoratitas.
3 Los hijos[a] de Etam fueron
Jezrel, Ismá e Idbás. La hermana de ellos fue Jazelelponi. 4 También fueron sus hijos Penuel, padre de Guedor, y Ezer, padre de Jusá.
Estos fueron los descendientes de Hur, primogénito de Efrata, padre[b] de Belén.
5 Asur, padre de Tecoa, tuvo dos esposas, Helá y Nara.
6 Nara fue la madre de Ajusán, Héfer, Temeni y Ajastarí. Estos fueron los hijos de Nara.
7 Los hijos de Helá fueron
Zéret, Zojar y Etnán, 8 y Cos fue el padre de Anub, de Zobebá y de las familias de Ajarjel, hijo de Harún.
9 Jabés fue más respetado que sus hermanos. Cuando su madre le puso ese nombre, dijo: «Con aflicción lo he dado a luz».[c] 10 Jabés rogó al Dios de Israel: «Bendíceme y ensancha mi territorio; ayúdame y líbrame del mal, para que no padezca aflicción». Y Dios le concedió su petición.
11 Quelub, hermano de Sujá, fue el padre de Mejir, quien fue el padre de Estón. 12 Estón fue el padre de Bet Rafa, de Paseaj y de Tejiná, padre de Ir Najás.[d] Estos fueron los habitantes de Reca.
13 Los hijos de Quenaz fueron
Otoniel y Seraías.
Los hijos de Otoniel fueron
Jatat 14 y Meonotay, padre de Ofra.
Seraías fue el padre de Joab,
padre de Ge Carisín,[e] porque sus habitantes eran herreros.
15 Los hijos de Caleb, hijo de Jefone, fueron
Iru, Elá y Naán.
El hijo de Elá:
Quenaz.
16 Los hijos de Yalelel:
Zif, Zifá, Tirías y Asarel.
17 Los hijos de Esdras:
Jéter, Méred, Éfer y Jalón.
Una de las esposas de Méred —con la cual tuvo a Miriam, Samay e Isba, padre de Estemoa— 18 era Bitiá, hija del faraón.
La otra esposa de Méred era de la tribu de Judá, y con ella tuvo a Jéred, padre de Guedor, a Héber, padre de Soco, y a Jecutiel, padre de Zanoa.
19 Queilá, el garmita, y Estemoa, el macateo, fueron
hijos de la esposa de Hodías, es decir, de la hermana de Naján.
20 Los hijos de Simón fueron
Amnón, Riná, Ben Janán y Tilón.
Los hijos de Isí fueron
Zojet y Ben Zojet.
21 Los descendientes de Selá, hijo de Judá, fueron
Er, padre de Lecá; Ladá, padre de Maresá y de las familias que trabajan el hilo de lino en Bet Asbea.
22 Otros descendientes de Selá fueron Joaquín, Joás y Saraf, los hombres de Cozebá, quienes (según crónicas muy antiguas) antes de volver a Belén[f] se casaron con mujeres moabitas.[g] 23 Estos eran alfareros que habitaban en Netaín y Guederá, donde se quedaron al servicio del rey.

Jamuel, Zacur y Simí.
27 Simí tuvo dieciséis hijos y seis hijas; pero sus hermanos tuvieron pocos hijos, por lo cual sus familias no fueron tan numerosas como las de los descendientes de Judá. 28 Se establecieron en Berseba, Moladá, Jazar Súal, 29 Bilhá, Esen, Tolad, 30 Betuel, Jormá, Siclag, 31 Bet Marcabot, Jazar Susín, Bet Biray y Sajarayin. Estas fueron sus ciudades hasta el reinado de David. 32 Sus aldeas fueron Etam, Ayin, Rimón, Toquén y Asán —cinco en total—, 33 más todas las aldeas que estaban alrededor de aquellas ciudades hasta la región de Baal.

38 Todos estos eran jefes de sus clanes.
Como sus familias patriarcales llegaron a ser muy numerosas, 39 fueron hasta la entrada de Guedor, al este del valle, en busca de pastos para sus ganados. 40 Allí encontraron pastos buenos y abundantes, además de una tierra extensa, tranquila y pacífica. En ese lugar habían vivido los descendientes de Cam.
41 Los jefes mencionados anteriormente llegaron en los días de Ezequías, rey de Judá. Atacaron los campamentos de los descendientes de Cam y los meunitas que encontraron, y los destruyeron por completo. Y, como en esa región había pastos para sus ganados, se quedaron allí en lugar de ellos, donde habitan hasta el día de hoy. 42 Quinientos de sus soldados, que eran descendientes de Simeón y estaban bajo las órdenes de Pelatías, Nearías, Refaías y Uziel, hijos de Isí, fueron a la montaña de Seír. 43 Después de destruir a los fugitivos del pueblo de Amalec que habían quedado, se establecieron allí, donde habitan hasta el día de hoy.

2 And Reaiah the son of Shobal begat Jahath; and Jahath begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.
3 And these were of the father of Etam; Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi:
4 And Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah, the father of Bethlehem.
5 And Ashur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.

41 And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their rooms: because there was pasture there for their flocks.
42 And some of them, even of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men, went to mount Seir, having for their captains Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.
43 And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.

4 The descendants of Judah:(A)

2 Reaiah son of Shobal was the father of Jahath, and Jahath the father of Ahumai and Lahad. These were the clans of the Zorathites.
3 These were the sons[a] of Etam:

11 Kelub, Shuhah’s brother, was the father of Mehir, who was the father of Eshton. 12 Eshton was the father of Beth Rapha, Paseah and Tehinnah the father of Ir Nahash.[d] These were the men of Rekah.
13 The sons of Kenaz:
Othniel(F) and Seraiah.
The sons of Othniel:
Hathath and Meonothai.[e] 14 Meonothai was the father of Ophrah.
Seraiah was the father of Joab,
the father of Ge Harashim.[f] It was called this because its people were skilled workers.
15 The sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh:
Iru, Elah and Naam.
The son of Elah:
Kenaz.
16 The sons of Jehallelel:
Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria and Asarel.
17 The sons of Ezrah:
Jether, Mered, Epher and Jalon. One of Mered’s wives gave birth to Miriam,(G) Shammai and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa. 18 (His wife from the tribe of Judah gave birth to Jered the father of Gedor, Heber the father of Soko, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah.(H)) These were the children of Pharaoh’s daughter Bithiah, whom Mered had married.
19 The sons of Hodiah’s wife, the sister of Naham:
the father of Keilah(I) the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maakathite.(J)
20 The sons of Shimon:
Amnon, Rinnah, Ben-Hanan and Tilon.
The descendants of Ishi:

21 The sons of Shelah(K) son of Judah:
Er the father of Lekah, Laadah the father of Mareshah and the clans of the linen workers at Beth Ashbea, 22 Jokim, the men of Kozeba, and Joash and Saraph, who ruled in Moab and Jashubi Lehem. (These records are from ancient times.) 23 They were the potters who lived at Netaim and Gederah; they stayed there and worked for the king.
Simeon(L)
24 The descendants of Simeon:(M)
Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib,(N) Zerah and Shaul;
25 Shallum was Shaul’s son, Mibsam his son and Mishma his son.
26 The descendants of Mishma:
Hammuel his son, Zakkur his son and Shimei his son.
27 Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters, but his brothers did not have many children; so their entire clan did not become as numerous as the people of Judah. 28 They lived in Beersheba,(O) Moladah,(P) Hazar Shual, 29 Bilhah, Ezem,(Q) Tolad, 30 Bethuel, Hormah,(R) Ziklag,(S) 31 Beth Markaboth, Hazar Susim, Beth Biri and Shaaraim.(T) These were their towns until the reign of David. 32 Their surrounding villages were Etam, Ain,(U) Rimmon, Token and Ashan(V)—five towns— 33 and all the villages around these towns as far as Baalath.[g] These were their settlements. And they kept a genealogical record.
34 Meshobab, Jamlech, Joshah son of Amaziah, 35 Joel, Jehu son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel, 36 also Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah, 37 and Ziza son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah.
38 The men listed above by name were leaders of their clans. Their families increased greatly, 39 and they went to the outskirts of Gedor(W) to the east of the valley in search of pasture for their flocks. 40 They found rich, good pasture, and the land was spacious, peaceful and quiet.(X) Some Hamites had lived there formerly.
41 The men whose names were listed came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah. They attacked the Hamites in their dwellings and also the Meunites(Y) who were there and completely destroyed[h] them, as is evident to this day. Then they settled in their place, because there was pasture for their flocks. 42 And five hundred of these Simeonites, led by Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi, invaded the hill country of Seir.(Z) 43 They killed the remaining Amalekites(AA) who had escaped, and they have lived there to this day.
