4 猶大的兒子是法勒斯、希斯崙、迦米、戶珥、朔巴。 2 朔巴的兒子利亞雅生雅哈，雅哈生亞戶買和拉哈。他們都屬於瑣拉人的宗族。 3 以坦的兒子[a]是耶斯列、伊施瑪和伊得巴，女兒名叫哈悉勒玻尼。 4 基多的父親是毗努伊勒，戶沙的父親是以謝珥。這些人都是伯利恆的父親、以法她的長子戶珥的後代。 5 提哥亞的父親亞施戶有兩個妻子，一個名叫希拉，一個名叫拿拉。 6 拿拉給他生了亞戶撒、希弗、提米尼和哈轄斯他利。這些都是拿拉的兒子。 7 希拉的兒子是洗列、瑣轄和伊提南。 8 哥斯生亞諾和瑣比巴，他也是哈倫的兒子亞哈黑宗族的祖先。 9 雅比斯比他的眾弟兄尊貴，他母親給他取名叫雅比斯，意思是：「我生他時非常痛苦」。 10 雅比斯向以色列的上帝禱告說：「願你賜福給我，擴大我的疆土，與我同在，使我遠離患難和痛苦。」上帝答應了他的祈求。

21 猶大有個兒子名叫示拉。示拉的後代是利迦的父親珥、瑪利沙的父親拉大、在亞實比織細麻布的各家族、 22 約敬、哥西巴人、約阿施以及統治摩押和雅叔比利恆的薩拉。這都是古代的記錄。 23 他們都是住在尼他英和基低拉的陶匠，他們在那裡為王效力。
西緬的後裔
24 西緬的兒子是尼姆利、雅憫、雅立、謝拉和掃羅。 25 掃羅的兒子是沙龍，沙龍的兒子是米比衫，米比衫的兒子是米施瑪， 26 米施瑪的兒子是哈姆利，哈姆利的兒子是撒刻，撒刻的兒子是示每。 27 示每有十六個兒子和六個女兒，他弟兄的兒女不多。他們整個宗族的人不如猶大宗族的人多。 28 西緬人住在別示巴、摩拉大、哈薩·書亞、 29 辟拉、以森、陀臘、 30 彼土利、何珥瑪、洗革拉、 31 伯·瑪嘉博、哈薩·蘇撒、伯·比利、沙拉音。在大衛做王以前，這些都是西緬人的城邑。 32 他們還有五座城邑：以坦、亞因、臨門、陀健、亞珊， 33 以及這些城附近的村莊，遠至巴力。這些都是他們的住處。他們有自己的家譜。

Judah’s Descendants
4 Judah’s sons:(A) Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, and Shobal.
2 Reaiah son of Shobal fathered Jahath, and Jahath fathered Ahumai and Lahad.
These were the families of the Zorathites.
3 These were Etam’s sons:[a] Jezreel, Ishma, and Idbash, and their sister was named Hazzelelponi.
4 Penuel fathered Gedor, and Ezer fathered Hushah.
These were the sons of Hur, Ephrathah’s firstborn and the father of Bethlehem:
5 Ashhur fathered Tekoa and had two wives, Helah and Naarah.
6 Naarah bore Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari to him. These were Naarah’s sons.
7 Helah’s sons: Zereth, Zohar,[b] and Ethnan. 8 Koz fathered Anub, Zobebah,[c] and the families of Aharhel son of Harum.
9 Jabez[d] was more honorable than his brothers. His mother named him Jabez and said, “I gave birth to him in pain.”
10 Jabez called out to the God of Israel: “If only You would bless me, extend my border, let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not cause any pain.”[e][f] And God granted his request.
11 Chelub brother of Shuhah fathered Mehir, who was the father of Eshton. 12 Eshton fathered Beth-rapha, Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Irnahash. These were the men of Recah.
13 Kenaz’s sons: Othniel and Seraiah.
Othniel’s sons: Hathath and Meonothai.[g]
14 Meonothai fathered Ophrah,
and Seraiah fathered Joab, the ancestor of those in the Valley of Craftsmen,[h] for they were craftsmen.
15 The sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam.
Elah’s son: Kenaz.
16 Jehallelel’s sons: Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.
17 Ezrah’s sons: Jether, Mered, Epher, and Jalon. Mered’s wife Bithiah gave birth to Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa. 18 These were the sons of Pharaoh’s daughter Bithiah; Mered had married her. His Judean wife gave birth to Jered the father of Gedor, Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah. 19 The sons of Hodiah’s wife, the sister of Naham: the father of Keilah the Garmite and the father of Eshtemoa the Maacathite.
20 Shimon’s sons: Amnon, Rinnah, Ben-hanan, and Tilon.
Ishi’s sons: Zoheth and Ben-zoheth.
21 The sons of Shelah son of Judah: Er the father of Lecah, Laadah the father of Mareshah, the families of the guild[i] of linen workers at Beth-ashbea, 22 Jokim, the men of Cozeba; and Joash and Saraph, who married Moabites[j] and returned to Lehem. These names are from ancient records. 23 They were the potters and residents of Netaim and Gederah. They lived there in the service of the king.
Simeon’s Descendants
24 Simeon’s sons:(B) Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, and Shaul;
25 Shaul’s sons: his son Shallum, his son Mibsam, and his son Mishma.
26 Mishma’s sons: his son Hammuel, his son Zaccur, and his son Shimei.
27 Shimei had 16 sons and six daughters, but his brothers did not have many children, so their whole family did not become as numerous as the Judeans. 28 They lived in Beer-sheba, Moladah, Hazar-shual, 29 Bilhah, Ezem, Tolad, 30 Bethuel, Hormah, Ziklag, 31 Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susim, Beth-biri, and Shaaraim. These were their cities until David became king. 32 Their villages were Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochen, and Ashan—five cities, 33 and all their surrounding villages as far as Baal. These were their settlements, and they kept a genealogical record for themselves.
34 Meshobab, Jamlech, Joshah son of Amaziah,
35 Joel, Jehu son of Joshibiah, son of Seraiah, son of Asiel,
36 Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah, 37 and Ziza son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah—
38 these mentioned by name were leaders in their families. Their ancestral houses increased greatly. 39 They went to the entrance of Gedor, to the east side of the valley to seek pasture for their flocks. 40 They found rich, good pasture, and the land was broad, peaceful, and quiet,(C) for some Hamites had lived there previously.
41 These(D) who were recorded by name came in the days of King Hezekiah of Judah, attacked the Hamites’ tents and the Meunites who were found there, and set them apart for destruction,(E) as they are today. Then they settled in their place because there was pasture for their flocks. 42 Now 500 men from these sons of Simeon went with Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi, as their leaders to Mount Seir.(F) 43 They struck down(G) the remnant of the Amalekites who had escaped, and they still live there today.

4 Descendientes de Judá: Fares, Jesrón, Carmí, Jur y Sobal. 2 Reaías, hijo de Sobal, fue padre de Jájat; y Jájat fue padre de Ajumay y Lahad. Estas son las familias de los soraítas. 3 Estos son los descendientes de Etán: Jezrael, Jismá y Jidbás. Su hermana se llamaba Haslelfoní. 4 Penuel fue padre de Guedor y Ézer fue padre de Jusá. Estos fueron los descendientes de Jur, primogénito de Efrata y padre de Belén.

11 Quelub, hermano de Sujá, fue padre de Mejir y este fue padre de Estón. 12 Estón fue padre de Bet Rafá, Paséaj y Tejiná, el fundador de la villa de Najás. Estos son los hombres de Recá. 13 Descendientes de Quenaz: Otniel y Seraías. Descendientes de Otniel: Jatat y Meonotay. 14 Meonotay fue padre de Ofrá, y Seraías fue padre de Joab, fundador del valle de Jarasín, habitado por artesanos.

21 Descendientes de Selá, el hijo de Judá: Er, padre de Lecá, Laedá, padre de Maresá, las familias de los que trabajan el lino en Bet Asbea, 22 Joquín, las gentes de Cozebá, Joás y Saraf que sometieron a Moab y regresaron a Belén, según datos muy antiguos. 23 Ellos eran alfareros, residían en Netaín y Guederá y vivían allí con el rey, trabajando para él.

24 Descendientes de Simeón: Nemuel, Jamín, Jarib, Zéraj, Saúl 25 y sus descendientes: Salún, Mibsán y Mismá. 26 Descendientes de Mismá: Jamuel, Zacur y Simeí. 27 Simeí tuvo dieciséis hijos y seis hijas, pero sus hermanos tuvieron pocos hijos y sus familias no se multiplicaron tanto como los descendientes de Judá. 28 Residieron en Berseba, Moladá, Jasar-Sual, 29 Bilhá, Esen, Tolad. 30 Betuel, Jormá, Siclag, 31 Bet Marcabot, Jasar Susín, Bet Birí y Saráin. Estas fueron sus ciudades hasta el reinado de David. 32 Y estas sus cinco aldeas: Emán, Ain, Rimón, Toquén y Asán, 33 así como todas las aldeas anejas a dichas ciudades hasta Baalat. 34 Mesobab, Jamlec, Josá, el hijo de Amasías, 35 Joel, Jehú, descendiente de Josibías, de Seraías y de Asiel, 36 Elyoenay, Jacobá, Jesojaías, Asaías, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaías 37 y Zizá, descendiente de Sifí, de Alón, de Jedaías, de Simrí y de Semaías. 38 Todos los aquí nombrados fueron jefes de clanes y sus familias llegaron a ser muy numerosas. 39 Se trasladaron hasta la entrada de Guedor, al este del valle, buscando pastos para sus ganados 40 y los encontraron buenos y abundantes en una región extensa, tranquila y segura, habitada anteriormente por los camitas. 41 Los arriba nombrados llegaron en tiempos de Ezequías, rey de Judá, atacaron los campamentos y los refugios que encontraron allí, los dejaron completamente aniquilados hasta hoy y se establecieron en su lugar, puesto que habían encontrado pastos para sus ganados.
42 Quinientos hombres de entre los descendientes de Simeón se dirigieron a la montaña de Seir, comandados por Pelatías, Nearías, Refaías y Uziel, hijos de Jisí, 43 derrotaron a un resto de supervivientes amalecitas y se establecieron allí hasta el día de hoy.
