大卫对所罗门的嘱咐
28 大卫召以色列的众首领到耶路撒冷。于是，各支派的首领、各班将领、千夫长、百夫长、负责王和王子的财产及牲畜的官员、宫廷侍臣、显贵和勇士都来了， 2 大卫王站起来说：“我的弟兄，我的人民啊，请听我说。我本想建造一座殿宇安放耶和华的约柜，作我们上帝的脚凳，我已准备好建造的材料。 3 但上帝对我说，‘你不可为我的名建造殿宇，因为你是个战士，曾流过人的血。’ 4 以色列的上帝耶和华从我父亲家中拣选我做以色列的王，直到永远。因为祂拣选了犹大支派做首领；在犹大支派中，祂拣选了我父亲家；在我父亲的众子中，祂喜悦我，立我做以色列的王。 5 耶和华赐给我许多儿子，祂在我众子中拣选了所罗门，让他坐以色列的王位，治理耶和华的国。 6 耶和华对我说，‘你儿子所罗门必建造我的殿宇和庭院，因为我拣选他做我的儿子，我也必做他的父亲。 7 倘若他像今天一样继续坚守我的诫命和典章，我必使他的国度永远稳固。’ 8 现在，当着耶和华的会众——全体以色列人的面，趁着我们的上帝在垂听，你们要谨遵你们的上帝耶和华的一切诫命，以便你们可以拥有这片佳美之地，并且把它传给你们的子孙作永远的产业。
9 “我儿所罗门啊，你要认识你父亲的上帝耶和华，诚心乐意地事奉祂，因为祂洞察人心，知道人一切的心思意念。倘若你寻求祂，祂必让你寻见；倘若你背弃祂，祂必永远丢弃你。 10 现在你要谨慎，因为耶和华拣选你来建造殿宇作圣所。你要坚定不移地去做。”
11 大卫将殿的走廊、房舍、库房、楼房、内室和安放施恩座的圣所的图样都交给所罗门， 12 又将心里构想的耶和华殿的院子、四周的房屋、殿的库房和圣物库房的图样都交给他。 13 大卫还让他知道祭司和利未人的班次、耶和华殿里各样的工作及一切所需的器皿， 14 制造各种金器银器所需金银的分量—— 15 金灯台和金灯的分量，银灯台和银灯的分量——按每座灯台的用途酌定金银的分量， 16 放供饼的金桌子的分量，银桌子的分量， 17 纯金的叉子、碗、瓶的分量，每个金碗和银碗的分量， 18 纯金香坛的分量，以及在施恩座上展开翅膀遮盖耶和华约柜的基路伯天使的样式。 19 大卫说：“以上这一切都是耶和华亲手指示我的，让我明白工作的细节。”

Instrucciones para la construcción del templo
28 David reunió en Jerusalén a todos los jefes de Israel, es decir, a los jefes de las tribus, los jefes de las divisiones que por turno servían al rey, los jefes de mil y de cien soldados, los administradores de los bienes, del ganado y de los príncipes, los eunucos del palacio, los guerreros, y todos los valientes.
2 Puesto de pie, el rey David dijo: «Hermanos de mi pueblo, escuchadme. Yo tenía el propósito de construir un templo para que en él reposara el arca del pacto del Señor nuestro Dios y sirviera como estrado de sus pies. Ya tenía todo listo para construirlo 3 cuando Dios me dijo: “Tú no me construirás ningún templo, porque eres hombre de guerra y has derramado sangre”.
4 »Sin embargo, el Señor, Dios de Israel, me escogió de entre mi familia para ponerme por rey de Israel para siempre. En efecto, él escogió a Judá como la tribu gobernante; de esta tribu escogió a mi familia, y de entre mis hermanos me escogió a mí, para ponerme por rey de Israel. 5 De entre los muchos hijos que el Señor me ha dado, escogió a mi hijo Salomón para que se sentara en el trono real del Señor y gobernara a Israel. 6 Dios me dijo: “Será tu hijo Salomón el que construya mi templo y mis atrios, pues lo he escogido como hijo, y seré para él como un padre. 7 Y, si persevera en cumplir mis leyes y mis normas, como lo hace hoy, entonces afirmaré su reino para siempre”.
8 »En presencia de Dios que nos escucha, y de todo Israel, que es la congregación del Señor, hoy os encarezco que obedezcáis cumplidamente todos los mandamientos del Señor vuestro Dios. Así poseeréis esta hermosa tierra y se la dejaréis en herencia perpetua a vuestros hijos.
9 »Y tú, Salomón, hijo mío, reconoce al Dios de tu padre, y sírvele de todo corazón y con buena disposición, pues el Señor escudriña todo corazón y discierne todo pensamiento. Si lo buscas, te permitirá que lo encuentres; si lo abandonas, te rechazará para siempre. 10 Ten presente que el Señor te ha escogido para que le edifiques un templo como santuario suyo. Así que ¡anímate y pon manos a la obra!»
11 Luego David le entregó a Salomón el diseño del pórtico del templo, de sus edificios, de los almacenes, de las habitaciones superiores, de los cuartos interiores y del lugar del propiciatorio. 12 También le entregó el diseño de todo lo que había planeado para los atrios del templo del Señor, para los cuartos de alrededor, para los tesoros del templo de Dios y para los depósitos de las ofrendas sagradas. 13 Así mismo, le dio instrucciones en cuanto a la labor de los sacerdotes y levitas, y de todos los servicios del templo del Señor y de todos los utensilios sagrados que se usarían en el servicio del templo. 14 Además, le entregó abundante oro y plata para todos los utensilios de oro y de plata que se debían usar en cada uno de los servicios en el templo. 15 También le pesó el oro y la plata para cada uno de los candelabros y sus lámparas, tanto los de oro como los de plata, según el uso de cada candelabro. 16 De igual manera, le pesó el oro y la plata para cada una de las mesas del pan consagrado, tanto las de oro como las de plata. 17 Le hizo entrega del oro puro para los tenedores, los tazones y las jarras. Le pesó oro y plata suficiente para cada una de las copas de oro y de plata. 18 Para el altar del incienso le entregó una cantidad suficiente de oro refinado. También le dio el diseño de la carroza y de los querubines que cubren con sus alas extendidas el arca del pacto del Señor.
19 «Todo esto —dijo David— ha sido escrito por revelación del Señor, para darme a conocer el diseño de las obras».
20 Además, David le dijo a su hijo Salomón: «¡Sé fuerte y valiente, y pon manos a la obra! No tengas miedo ni te desanimes, porque Dios el Señor, mi Dios, estará contigo. No te dejará ni te abandonará hasta que hayas terminado toda la obra del templo del Señor. 21 Aquí tienes la organización de los sacerdotes y de los levitas para el servicio del templo de Dios. Además, contarás con la ayuda voluntaria de expertos en toda clase de trabajos. Los jefes y todo el pueblo estarán a tu disposición».

28 And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem.
2 Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:
3 But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.
4 Howbeit the Lord God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:
5 And of all my sons, (for the Lord hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.
6 And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.
8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the Lord, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the Lord your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
10 Take heed now; for the Lord hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.
11 Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the mercy seat,
12 And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the Lord, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:
13 Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the Lord, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the Lord.
14 He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service:
15 Even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof: and for the candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick.
16 And by weight he gave gold for the tables of shewbread, for every table; and likewise silver for the tables of silver:
17 Also pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every bason; and likewise silver by weight for every bason of silver:
18 And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
19 All this, said David, the Lord made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.
20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.
21 And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.
