3 在以利亚撒的子孙撒督和以他玛的子孙亚希米勒的协助下，大卫将亚伦的子孙分成班次，让他们各司其职。 4 以利亚撒的子孙中做首领的比以他玛的子孙中做首领的多，他们被分成班次，以利亚撒的子孙中有十六个族长，以他玛的子孙中有八个族长。 5 因为以利亚撒的子孙中和以他玛的子孙中都有人在圣所做首领事奉上帝，他们便用抽签的方法公平地分班，分别在以利亚撒和以他玛家族中抽签。

3 Then David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and (A)Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to the schedule of their service.
4 There were more leaders found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus they were divided. Among the sons of Eleazar were sixteen heads of their fathers’ houses, and eight heads of their fathers’ houses among the sons of Ithamar. 5 Thus they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of the house of God, from the sons of Eleazar and from the sons of Ithamar.

3 With the help of Zadok(A) a descendant of Eleazar and Ahimelek a descendant of Ithamar, David separated them into divisions for their appointed order of ministering. 4 A larger number of leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than among Ithamar’s, and they were divided accordingly: sixteen heads of families from Eleazar’s descendants and eight heads of families from Ithamar’s descendants. 5 They divided them impartially by casting lots,(B) for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of God among the descendants of both Eleazar and Ithamar.
