These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah, Issachar and Zebulun,

Dan, Joseph and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad and Asher.

The sons of Judah were Er and Onan and Shelah. These three were born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanite. But Er, the eldest son of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD. And he killed him.

And Tamar, his daughter-in-law, bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.

The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

Also, the sons of Zerah were Zimri and Ethan and Heman and Calcol and Dara. There were five in all.

And Achar was the son of Carmi. He troubled Israel, transgressing in the secluded thing.

Also, the son of Ethan was Azariah.

And the sons of Hezron, who were born to him, were Jerahmeel and Ram and Chelubai.

10 And Ram begat Amminadab. And Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah.

11 And Nahshon begat Salma. And Salma begat Boaz.

12 And Boaz begat Obed. And Obed begat Ishai.

13 And Jesse begat his eldest son, Eliab, and Abinadab (the second) and Shimea (the third),

14 Nethanel (the fourth), Raddai (the fifth),

15 Ozem (the sixth) and David (the seventh),

16 whose sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah were Abishai and Joab and Asahel.

17 And Abigail bore Amasa. And the father of Amasa was Jether, an Ishmaelite.

18 And Caleb, the son of Hezron, begat Jerioth of Azubah, his wife. And these were her sons: Jesher and Shobab and Ardon.

19 And after Azubah died, Caleb took Ephrath to him, who bore him Hur.

20 And Hur begat Uri. And Uri begat Bezalel.

21 And afterward, Hezron came to the daughter of Machir, the father of Gilead, and took her when he was sixty years old. And she bore him Segub.

22 And Segub begat Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.

23 And Geshur, with Aram, took the towns of Jair from them, as well as Kenath and its towns, sixty cities. All these were the sons of Machir, the father of Gilead.

24 And after Hezron died at Caleb Ephrathah, Abijah, Hezron’s wife, bore him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa.

25 And the sons of Jerahmeel, the eldest son of Hezron, were Ram (the eldest), then Bunah and Oren and Ozem and Ahijah.

26 Also, Jerahmeel had another wife named Atarah, who was the mother of Onam.

27 And the sons of Ram, the eldest son of Jerahmeel, were Maaz and Jamin and Eker.

28 And the sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. And the sons of Shammai were Nadab and Abishur.

29 And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail. And she bore him Ahban and Molid.

30 Also, the sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim. But Seled died without children.

31 And the son of Appaim was Ishi. And the son of Ishi was Sheshan. And the son of Sheshan was Ahlai.

32 And the sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether and Jonathan. But Jether died without children.

33 And the sons of Jonathan were Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

34 And Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. And Sheshan had a servant who was an Egyptian named Jarha.

35 And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha, his servant, as a wife. And she bore him Attai.

36 And Attai begat Nathan and Nathan begat Zabad.

37 And Zabad begat Ephlal. And Ephlal begat Obed.

38 And Obed begat Jehu. And Jehu begat Azariah.

39 And Azariah begat Helez. And Helez begat Eleasah.

40 And Eleasah begat Sismai. And Sismai begat Shallum.

41 And Shallum begat Jekamiah. And Jekamiah begat Elishama.

42 Also, the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha (his eldest son), who was the father of Ziph, and the sons of Mareshah, the father of Hebron.

43 And the sons of Hebron were Korah and Tappuah and Rekem and Shema.

44 And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam. And Rekem begat Shammai.

45 Also, the son of Shammai was Maon. And Maon was the father of Beth Zur.

46 And Ephah, a concubine of Caleb, bore Haran and Moza and Gazez. Haran also begat Gazez.

47 The sons of Jahdai were Regem and Jotham and Geshan and Pelet and Ephah and Shaaph.

48 Caleb’s concubine, Maachah, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.

49 She also bore Shaaph, the father of Madmannah, and Sheva, the father of Machbenah and the father of Gibea. And Achsah was Caleb’s daughter.

50 These were the sons of Caleb. The sons of Hur, the eldest son of Ephrathah, were Shobal, the father of Kirjath Jearim,

51 Salma, the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph, the father of Beth Gader.

52 And Shobal, the father of Kirjath Jearim, had sons. And he was the overseer of half of Manuhoth.

53 And the families of Kirjath Jearim were the Ithrites and the Puthites and the Shumathites and the Mishraites. From them came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites,

54 the sons of Salma of Bethlehem and the Netophathites, the crowns of the House of Joab and half the Manahethites and the Zorites

55 and the families of the scribes dwelling at Jabez, the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Suchathites (who are the Kenites, who came from Hammath, the father of the House of Rechab).

Los hijos que le nacieron a Hesrón fueron: Jerameel, Ram y Caleb. 10 Ram engendró a Aminadab, y Aminadab engendró a Najsón, jefe de los hijos de Judá. 11 Najsón engendró a Salmón, y Salmón engendró a Boaz. 12 Boaz engendró a Obed, y Obed engendró a Isaí. 13 Isaí engendró a Eliab su primogénito, a Aminadab el segundo, a Simea el tercero, 14 a Natanael el cuarto, a Radai el quinto, 15 a Ozem el sexto, y a David el séptimo. 16 Sarvia y Abigaíl fueron las hermanas de ellos. Los hijos de Sarvia fueron tres: Abisai, Joab y Asael. 17 Abigaíl dio a luz a Amasa, y el padre de Amasa fue Jeter el ismaelita.

Clanes de Caleb en Judá

18 Caleb hijo de Hesrón engendró a Jeriot, de su mujer Azuba[c]. Y estos fueron hijos de ella: Jeser, Sobab y Ardón. 19 Murió Azuba, y Caleb tomó por mujer a Efrata, la cual dio a luz a Hur. 20 Hur engendró a Uri, y Uri engendró a Bezaleel.

21 Después Hesrón se unió a una hija de Maquir, padre de Galaad. La tomó teniendo él sesenta años, y ella le dio a luz a Segub. 22 Segub engendró a Jaír, el cual tuvo veintitrés aldeas en la tierra de Galaad. 23 (Gesur y Aram les tomaron las aldeas de Jaír y también Quenat con sus aldeas, sesenta ciudades). Todos estos fueron hijos de Maquir, padre de Galaad. 24 Después que murió Hesrón en Caleb-efrata, Abía, mujer de Hesrón, le dio a luz a Azur, padre de Tecoa.

25 Los hijos de Jerameel, primogénito de Hesrón, fueron: Ram el primogénito, Buna, Orén, Ozem y Ajías. 26 Jerameel tuvo otra mujer cuyo nombre era Atara, que fue madre de Onam. 27 Los hijos de Ram, primogénito de Jerameel, fueron: Maaz, Jamín y Equer. 28 Los hijos de Onam fueron Samai y Jada. Los hijos de Samai fueron Nadab y Abisur. 29 El nombre de la mujer de Abisur fue Abijaíl, la cual le dio a luz a Ajbán y a Molid. 30 Los hijos de Nadab fueron Seled y Apaim. Y Seled murió sin hijos. 31 Isi fue hijo de Apaim. Sesán fue hijo de Isi. Ajlai fue hijo de Sesán. 32 Los hijos de Jada, hermano de Samai, fueron Jeter y Jonatán. Y Jeter murió sin hijos. 33 Los hijos de Jonatán fueron Pelet y Zaza. Estos fueron los hijos de Jerameel. 34 Sesán no tuvo hijos, sino hijas. Sesán tenía un siervo egipcio llamado Jarja. 35 Y Sesán dio a su hija por mujer a su siervo Jarja, y ella le dio a luz a Atai. 36 Atai engendró a Natán, Natán engendró a Zabad, 37 Zabad engendró a Eflal, Eflal engendró a Obed, 38 Obed engendró a Jehú, Jehú engendró a Azarías, 39 Azarías engendró a Heles, Heles engendró a Elasa, 40 Elasa engendró a Sismai, Sismai engendró a Salum, 41 Salum engendró a Jecamías, Jecamías engendró a Elisama.

42 Los hijos de Caleb, hermano de Jerameel, fueron: Mesa su primogénito, que fue padre de Zif, y Maresa su hijo fue padre de Hebrón. 43 Los hijos de Hebrón fueron: Coré, Tapúaj, Requem y Sema. 44 Sema engendró a Rajam, padre de Jorcoam, y Requem engendró a Samai. 45 Maón fue hijo de Samai, y Maón fue padre de Betsur.

46 Efa, concubina de Caleb, dio a luz a Harán, a Mosa y a Gazez. Harán engendró a Gazez. 47 Los hijos de Jahdai fueron: Regem, Jotam, Gesán, Pelet, Efa y Saaf.

48 Maaca, concubina de Caleb, dio a luz a Seber y a Tirjana. 49 También dio a luz a Saaf, padre de Madmana, y a Seva, padre de Macbena y padre de Gibea. Y Acsa fue hija de Caleb. 50 Estos fueron los hijos de Caleb.

Los hijos[d]de Hur, primogénito de Efrata, fueron: Sobal, padre de Quiriat-jearim; 51 Salma, padre de Belén; y Haref, padre de Bet-gader. 52 Los hijos de Sobal, padre de Quiriat-jearim, fueron: Haroé, la mitad de los manajetitas 53 y los clanes de Quiriat-jearim, que fueron: los jatiritas, los futitas, los sumatitas y los misraítas. Y de estos salieron los zoraítas y los estaolitas. 54 Los hijos de Salma fueron: Belén, los netofatitas, Atrot-bet-joab y la mitad de los manajetitas, los zoraítas. 55 Las familias de los escribas que moraban en Jabes fueron: los tirateos, los simateos y los sucateos. Estos son los queneos que descienden de Hamat, padre de la casa de Recab.

25 And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.

26 Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

54 The sons of Salma; Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.
