1 Chronicles 11:7-9
New King James Version
7 Then David dwelt in the stronghold; therefore they called it [a]the City of David. 8 And he built the city around it, from [b]the Millo to the surrounding area. Joab [c]repaired the rest of the city. 9 So David (A)went on and became great, and the Lord of hosts was with (B)him.

7 And David lived in the stronghold; therefore it was called the city of David. 8 And he built the city all around from the Millo in complete circuit, and Joab repaired the rest of the city. 9 And David (A)became greater and greater, for the Lord of hosts was with him.
