2 我願意你們知道，我為你們和在老底嘉的人，以及所有沒有跟我見過面的人，是怎樣竭力奮鬥， 2 為的是要他們的心得著勉勵，在愛中彼此聯繫，可以得著憑悟性、因確信而來的一切豐盛，也可以充分認識 神的奧祕，這奧祕就是基督； 3 一切智慧和知識的寶庫都蘊藏在基督裡面。 4 我說這些話，免得有人用花言巧語欺騙你們。 5 我雖然不在你們那裡，心卻與你們同在。我看見你們循規蹈矩，並且對基督有堅定的信心，就歡喜了。
在基督裡得豐盛
6 你們怎樣接受了基督耶穌為主，就當照樣在他裡面行事為人， 7 按著你們所領受的教導，在他裡面扎根、建造，信心堅定，滿有感謝的心。 8 你們要謹慎，免得有人不照著基督，而照著人的傳統，和世俗的言論，藉著哲學和騙人的空談，把你們擄去。 9 因為 神本性的一切豐盛，都有形有體地住在基督裡面， 10 你們也是在他裡面得了豐盛。他是一切執政掌權者的元首。 11 你們也在他裡面受了不是由人手所行的割禮，而是受了基督的割禮，就是除掉你們的罪身。 12 你們在洗禮中已經與他一同埋葬，也在洗禮中，因信那使基督從死人中復活的 神所運行的動力，與他一同復活了。 13 你們因著過犯和肉體未受割禮，原是死的，然而 神赦免了我們的一切過犯，使你們與基督一同活過來， 14 塗抹了那寫在規條上反對我們、與我們為敵的字句，並且把這字句從我們中間拿去，釘在十字架上。 15 他既然靠著十字架勝過了一切執政掌權的，廢除了他們的權勢，就在凱旋的行列中，把他們公開示眾。
16 所以不要讓人因著飲食、節期、月朔、安息日批評你們， 17 這些不過是將來的事的影子，那真體卻是屬於基督的。 18 不要讓人奪去你們的獎賞，他們以故意謙卑，敬拜天使為樂；迷於自己所見過的；憑著肉體的意念，無故地自高自大； 19 不與頭緊密相連。其實全身都是藉著關節和筋絡從頭得著供應和聯繫，就照著 神所要求的，生長起來。
在基督裡作新人
20-21 你們若與基督一同死了，脫離了世俗的言論，為甚麼仍然好像活在世俗中一樣，拘守那“不可摸、不可嘗、不可觸”的規條呢？ 22 （這一切東西，一經使用，就都朽壞了。）這些規條是照著人的命令和教訓而定的， 23 在隨著己意敬拜，故作謙卑，和苦待己身等事上，似乎是智慧之言，其實只能叫人放縱肉體，再沒有任何價值。
Colossians 2
International Children’s Bible
2 I want you to know that I am trying very hard to help you. And I am trying to help those in Laodicea and others who have never seen me. 2 I want them to be strengthened and joined together with love. I want them to be rich in the strong belief that comes from understanding. I mean I want you to know fully God’s secret truth. That truth is Christ himself. 3 And in him all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are safely kept.
4 I say this so that no one can fool you by arguments that seem good, but are false. 5 I am not there with you, but my heart is with you. I am happy to see your good lives and your strong faith in Christ.
Continue to Live in Christ
6 As you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so continue to live in him. 7 Keep your roots deep in him and have your lives built on him. Be strong in the faith, just as you were taught. And always be thankful.
8 Be sure that no one leads you away with false ideas and words that mean nothing. Those ideas come from men. They are the worthless ideas of this world. They are not from Christ. 9 All of God lives fully in Christ (even when Christ was on earth). 10 And in him you have a full and true life. He is ruler over all rulers and powers.
11 In Christ you had a different kind of circumcision. That circumcision was not done by hands. I mean, you were made free from the power of your sinful self. That is the kind of circumcision Christ does. 12 When you were baptized, you were buried with Christ and you were raised up with Christ because of your faith in God’s power. That power was shown when he raised Christ from death. 13 You were spiritually dead because of your sins and because you were not free from the power of your sinful self. But God made you alive with Christ. And God forgave all our sins. 14 We owed a debt because we broke God’s laws. That debt listed all the rules we failed to follow. But God forgave us that debt. He took away that debt and nailed it to the cross. 15 God defeated the spiritual rulers and powers. With the cross God won the victory and defeated them. He showed the world that they were powerless.
Don’t Follow People’s Rules
16 So do not let anyone make rules for you about eating and drinking or about a religious feast, a New Moon Festival, or a Sabbath day. 17 In the past, these things were like a shadow of what was to come. But the new things that were coming are found in Christ. 18 Some enjoy acting as if they were humble and love to worship angels. They are always talking about the visions they have seen. Do not let them tell you that you are wrong. They are full of foolish pride because of their human way of thinking. 19 They do not keep themselves under the control of Christ, the head. The whole body depends on Christ. Because of him all the parts of the body care for each other and help each other. This strengthens the body and holds it together. And so the body grows in the way God wants.
20 You died with Christ and were made free from the worthless rules of the world. So why do you act as if you still belong to this world? I mean, why do you follow rules like these: 21 “Don’t handle this,” “Don’t taste that,” “Don’t touch that thing”? 22 These rules are talking about earthly things that are gone as soon as they are used. They are only human commands and teachings. 23 These rules seem to be wise. But they are only part of a human religion. They make people pretend not to be proud and make them punish their bodies. But they do not really control the evil desires of the sinful self.

2 我希望你们知道，为了你们和老底嘉人，以及许多从未和我见过面的人，我是怎样努力奋斗的， 2 为要使你们众人心受鼓励，联结在爱里，有丰富笃定的真知灼见，可以认识上帝的奥秘。这奥秘就是基督， 3 一切智慧和知识都蕴藏在祂里面。 4 我讲这番话是为了防止有人用花言巧语迷惑你们。 5 现在，我人虽不在你们那里，心却和你们在一起，看到你们生活井然有序，对基督坚信不移，我很喜乐。
生活以基督为中心
6 你们既然接受了基督耶稣为主，就当继续遵从祂， 7 按照你们所受的教导在祂里面扎根成长，信心坚固，满怀感恩。
8 你们要谨慎，免得有人用空洞虚假的哲学把你们掳去。这些哲学不是出于基督，而是出于人的传统和世俗的玄学。 9 因为上帝完全的神性有形有体地蕴藏在基督里， 10 你们在基督里得到了丰盛的生命。祂是一切执政者和掌权者的元首。
11 你们也在基督里受了非人手所行的割礼，是基督为除掉你们的罪恶本性而行的割礼。 12 你们接受洗礼时已经与基督一同埋葬了，并借着相信上帝使基督从死里复活的大能，与基督一同复活了。 13 你们从前死在过犯和未被割除的罪恶本性中，但现在上帝却使你们与基督一同活了过来。上帝赦免了我们一切的过犯， 14 撤销了指控我们违背律法的罪状，将它和基督一同钉在了十字架上， 15 打败了一切在灵界执政、掌权的邪恶势力，用基督在十字架上的胜利公开羞辱它们。
16 所以，不可让人在饮食、节期、朔日[a]或安息日的事上批评你们。 17 这些都不过是将来之事的影子，那真实的本体是基督。 18 有些人喜欢故作谦虚，敬拜天使，沉迷于所看见的幻象，你们不要因他们而失去得奖赏的资格。他们随从堕落的思想无故自高自大， 19 没有与身体的头——基督联结。全身是靠关节和筋络维系，从基督得到供应，按上帝的旨意渐渐成长。
20 你们既然和基督一同死了，摆脱了世俗的玄学，为什么仍像活在世俗中， 21 服从“不可拿、不可尝、不可摸”之类的规条呢？ 22 这些规条不过是人的戒律和说教，经不起实践的考验， 23 看似充满智慧，其实只不过是自创的宗教、自表谦卑、苦待己身，对于克制邪情私欲毫无用处。

2 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
