對耶路撒冷的應許
8 萬軍之耶和華的話傳給了我，說： 2 「萬軍之耶和華說，『我對錫安充滿了火熱的愛，我為錫安而大發烈怒。 3 我要回到錫安，住在耶路撒冷。耶路撒冷必被稱為忠信之城，我的山必被稱為聖山。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 4 必再次有年紀老邁、手拿拐杖的男女坐在耶路撒冷的街上。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 5 街上必到處都是玩耍的男女孩童。』 6 萬軍之耶和華說，『那時，這事在這些餘民看來是不可能的，但在我看來毫不稀奇。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。』 7 萬軍之耶和華說，『看啊，我要從東方和西方救出我的子民， 8 帶他們回到耶路撒冷居住。他們要做我的子民，我要做他們信實和公義的上帝。』
9 「萬軍之耶和華說，『在奠立萬軍之耶和華殿的根基那天，眾先知都在場。現今聽見這些先知之言的人啊，你們要剛強，以便可以建造聖殿！ 10 那日之前，人和牲畜都得不到工錢。在敵人的威脅下，人們出入沒有平安。因為我使眾人彼此為敵。 11 如今我不會像從前那樣對待這些餘民了。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 12 因為他們必平安地撒種，葡萄樹必結果子，土地必出產五穀，天必降下甘霖，我要把這些福氣賜給這些餘民。 13 猶大家和以色列家啊，從前你們在列國中是受咒詛的，現在我要拯救你們，使你們成為蒙福的人。你們不要懼怕，要剛強。』
14 「萬軍之耶和華說，『從前你們的祖先惹我發怒，我決定毫不留情地降禍給他們。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 15 現在我決定賜福給耶路撒冷和猶大家。你們不要懼怕。 16 你們所當做的是彼此說真話，在城門口秉公斷案，使人和睦。 17 不可設陰謀彼此相害，不可以起假誓為樂，因為這些都是我所憎惡的。這是耶和華說的。』」
18 萬軍之耶和華的話傳給了我，說： 19 「萬軍之耶和華說，『四月、五月、七月、十月的禁食必成為猶大家歡喜快樂的日子和幸福的節期。因此，你們要喜愛真理與和平。 20 各族的人和各城的居民都必來這裡。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 21 這一城的居民必到那一城，說，我們快去向耶和華求恩，去尋求萬軍之耶和華吧！我自己也去。 22 各民族和各強國必來耶路撒冷尋求萬軍之耶和華，向耶和華求恩。 23 那時，十個來自列國、講不同語言的人必拉住一個猶大人的衣角，說，讓我們跟你們同去吧，因為我們聽說上帝與你們同在。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。』」

The Lord Will Save His People
8 The word of the Lord of Armies came:
2 This is what the Lord of Armies says. I am zealous for Zion with great zeal, and with great wrath I am zealous for her.
3 This is what the Lord says. I will certainly return to Zion, and I will dwell in the middle of Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the Lord of Armies will be called the holy mountain.
4 This is what the Lord of Armies says. Old men and old women will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, all of them with canes[a] in their hand due to old age. 5 Then the streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets.
6 This is what the Lord of Armies says. Although in those days this may seem unattainable to the surviving remnant of this people, will it also seem unattainable to me? declares the Lord of Armies.
7 This is what the Lord of Armies says. Look, I will save my people from the land where the sun rises and from the land where the sun sets, 8 and I will bring them to settle in the midst of Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be their God, in faithfulness and in righteousness.
9 This is what the Lord of Armies says. Let your hands be strong so that the temple may be built—you who in these days are listening to these words from the mouths of the prophets, who were present on the day when the foundation of the house of the Lord of Armies was laid. 10 For before those days, there was no one who could pay for workmen or for animals. There was no peace from the adversary for anyone who went out or came in, because I had set every man against his neighbor. 11 But now I will not treat the surviving remnant of this people as in earlier days, declares the Lord of Armies.
12 Sowing will take place in peace. The vine will yield its fruit. The earth will yield its produce. The sky will provide its dew. I will give all these things as a possession to the surviving remnant of this people. 13 Just as you once were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so now I will save you. You will be a blessing. Do not be afraid. Let your hands be strong.
14 For this is what the Lord of Armies[b] says. Just as I planned to bring disaster upon you when your fathers made me angry, says the Lord of Armies, so that I did not relent, 15 so in these days I plan to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah once again. Do not be afraid.
16 These are the things that you are to do: Speak the truth to one another. Render judgments that uphold truth, justice, and peace in your gates. 17 Do not plot evil in your hearts against each other. Do not love false oaths. Indeed I hate all these things, declares the Lord.
18 The word of the Lord of Armies came to me:
19 This is what the Lord of Armies says. The fasts of the fourth, fifth, seventh, and tenth months will become times of rejoicing, joy, and gladness for the house of Judah. Therefore, all of you are to love truth and peace.
20 This is what the Lord of Armies says. People will still come as the inhabitants of many cities. 21 Then the inhabitants of one city will go to another and say, “Let us go immediately to plead for the favor of the Lord and to seek the Lord of Armies. I myself will go.” 22 Then many peoples and mighty nations will come to seek the Lord of Armies in Jerusalem and to plead for the favor of the Lord.
23 This is what the Lord of Armies says. In those days, ten men from among the speakers of every language of the nations will take firm hold of the hem of a Jew’s garment and say, “Let us go along with you, because we have heard that God is with you.”

8 El Señor todopoderoso me dio este mensaje: 2 «Esto es lo que yo, el Señor todopoderoso, digo: Siento por Sión grandes celos, celos furiosos. 3 Y he de volver a Jerusalén, para vivir allí. Entonces Jerusalén será llamada Ciudad Fiel, y el monte del Señor todopoderoso será llamado Monte Santo. 4 Ancianos y ancianas se sentarán de nuevo en las plazas de Jerusalén, apoyado cada cual en su bastón a causa de su mucha edad. 5 Niños y niñas llenarán las plazas de la ciudad y jugarán en ellas. 6 En aquel tiempo todo esto parecerá imposible a los ojos de los que queden de mi pueblo; pero a mí no me lo parecerá. Yo, el Señor todopoderoso, lo afirmo: 7 Yo libertaré a mi pueblo del poder del país de oriente y del país de occidente, 8 y lo traeré a Jerusalén para que viva allí. Ellos serán entonces mi pueblo, y yo seré su Dios, con fidelidad y justicia.»
9 Esto dice el Señor todopoderoso: «Esfuércense, ustedes que en estos días han oído las palabras dichas por los profetas, desde el día en que se pusieron los cimientos para la reconstrucción del templo del Señor todopoderoso. 10 Porque hasta estos días no había paga para los hombres ni para las bestias. Y a causa del enemigo, tampoco había paz para los habitantes; y yo había puesto a los unos en contra de los otros. 11 Pero ahora, para los que queden de este pueblo, ya no voy a ser como en los primeros días. Yo, el Señor todopoderoso, lo afirmo. 12 Porque la paz estará sembrada entre ellos. Los viñedos darán su fruto; la tierra, sus productos; y el cielo, su rocío. Y yo les daré todo eso en posesión a los que queden de este pueblo. 13 Y así como ustedes, los de Judá y los de Israel, fueron maldición entre las demás naciones, así yo ahora los salvaré y haré que sean bendición. ¡No tengan miedo! ¡Esfuércense!»
14 Esto dice el Señor todopoderoso: «Yo había decidido castigar a los antepasados de ustedes cuando me hicieron enojar, y mantuve mi decisión. 15 Ahora, en cambio, he decidido hacerles bien a Jerusalén y a Judá. Por lo tanto, no tengan miedo. 16 Esto es lo que siempre deben hacer ustedes: Díganse siempre la verdad unos a otros, juzguen con justicia y procuren la paz en los tribunales; 17 no se hagan daño unos a otros ni juren en falso. Porque yo odio todo eso. Yo, el Señor, lo afirmo.»
18 El Señor todopoderoso se dirigió a mí, y me dijo: 19 «Los ayunos de los meses cuarto, quinto, séptimo y décimo se convertirán en motivo de alegría, en fiestas felices para los descendientes de Judá. ¡Amen ustedes, pues, la verdad y la paz!»
20 Esto dice el Señor todopoderoso: «Todavía han de venir gentes y habitantes de muchas ciudades. 21 Entonces los de una ciudad se dirigirán a los de otra, y les dirán: “¡Vamos a buscar al Señor todopoderoso y a pedirle que nos bendiga!” Y los otros les contestarán: “¡Nosotros también iremos!” 22 Y vendrán a Jerusalén muchos pueblos y naciones numerosas, a buscar al Señor todopoderoso y a pedirle que los bendiga. 23 En aquel tiempo, diez extranjeros de las demás naciones agarrarán por la ropa a un judío, y le dirán: “¡Queremos ir con ustedes, porque hemos oído que Dios está con ustedes!”»
