La liberación de Jerusalén
12 Éste es un mensaje del Señor acerca de Israel. El Señor, que ha extendido el cielo, y ha puesto base a la tierra, y ha dado vida al hombre, afirma: 2 «Yo hago de Jerusalén una copa de vino que emborrachará a todas las naciones vecinas. Cuando ellas pongan sitio a Jerusalén, también las otras ciudades de Judá serán atacadas.
3 »En aquel día convertiré a Jerusalén en una piedra muy pesada para todas las naciones. Herirá a cualquiera de ellas que intente levantarla. Todas las naciones se juntarán en contra de Jerusalén, 4 pero entonces yo espantaré a todos los caballos y volveré locos a sus jinetes. Cuidaré de los descendientes de Judá, y dejaré ciegos a todos los caballos de las naciones. 5 Al ver esto, los jefes de Judá dirán para sí: “El Señor todopoderoso es el Dios de los que viven en Jerusalén, y el que les da fuerzas.”
6 »En aquel día haré que los jefes de Judá sean como un brasero encendido entre la leña, como un fuego entre manojos de espigas. Devorarán a derecha e izquierda a todas las naciones vecinas, mientras que los habitantes de Jerusalén vivirán otra vez en su ciudad. 7 Pero primero yo, el Señor, salvaré a las familias de Judá, para que no crezca el prestigio de los descendientes de David y de los habitantes de Jerusalén por encima de los demás descendientes de Judá. 8 Yo, el Señor, protegeré a los que viven en Jerusalén. Los más débiles de ellos serán tan fuertes como el rey David, y los descendientes de David serán como Dios, como el ángel del Señor, que va al frente de ellos.
9 »En aquel día destruiré a cualquier nación que ataque a Jerusalén. 10 Llenaré de espíritu de bondad y oración a los descendientes de David y a los habitantes de Jerusalén. Entonces mirarán al que traspasaron, y harán duelo y llorarán por él como por la muerte del hijo único o del hijo mayor. 11 Se hará en Jerusalén un duelo tan grande como el duelo que se hace por el dios Hadad-rimón en la llanura de Meguido. 12 Familia por familia, cada una por su lado, hará duelo en el país: los descendientes de David, y también sus mujeres; los descendientes de Natán, y también sus mujeres; 13 los descendientes de Leví, y también sus mujeres; los descendientes de Simí, y también sus mujeres; 14 y así todas las otras familias, cada una por su lado, y también sus mujeres.

12 Dios me dio este mensaje para los israelitas:
«Yo soy el Dios todopoderoso.
Yo fui quien extendió los cielos
y afirmó las bases de la tierra.
Yo soy quien dio vida
a todos los seres humanos.
2-3 »Cuando las naciones vecinas quieran atacar a Jerusalén y a las ciudades de Judá, yo las haré fracasar. Su ataque será tan torpe que mi pueblo pensará que están borrachos.
»Cuando llegue ese día, todas las naciones se unirán para acabar con Jerusalén. Pero yo haré que Jerusalén sea como una piedra enorme; ¡todo el que trate de moverla será aplastado por ella!
4 »Yo estaré vigilando al pueblo de Judá, así que ese día dejaré ciegos a todos los caballos de las naciones, y espantaré a sus jinetes. 5 Cuando los jefes de Judá vean esto, dirán convencidos: “¡El único Dios todopoderoso es el Dios de los que vivimos en Jerusalén! ¡Nuestro Dios es nuestra fortaleza!”
6-7 »Ese día convertiré a los jefes de Judá en fuego, y con ese fuego consumiré por completo a todas las naciones vecinas, pero a la ciudad de Jerusalén no le pasará nada. Salvaré a las familias de Judá, pues para mí son tan importantes como la familia de David y como los que viven en Jerusalén. Que nadie piense lo contrario.
8-9 »Yo estoy dispuesto a destruir a cualquier nación que ataque a Jerusalén. De tal manera protegeré a sus habitantes que, ese día, los más débiles entre ellos serán tan poderosos como David; además, los descendientes de David volverán a gobernar como si mi propio ángel los dirigiera.
10 »Yo haré que los descendientes de David oren y se pongan muy tristes al mirar al que atravesaron con una lanza. También haré que lloren los habitantes de Jerusalén. Y será tan grande su tristeza que llorarán como si hubieran perdido a su único hijo. 11 Ese día llorarán en Jerusalén, como cuando lloran la muerte del dios Hadad-rimón en la llanura de Meguido. 12-14 Todos en el país estarán de luto, y cada familia llorará por separado. Llorarán hombres y mujeres entre los descendientes de David, Natán, Leví y Simí, y entre todas las demás familias.

12 Esta profecía es la palabra del Señor con respecto a Israel.
El Señor, quien extendió los cielos, echó los cimientos de la tierra y formó el espíritu del hombre en su interior, afirma:
2 «Convertiré a Jerusalén en una copa que hará tambalear a todos los pueblos vecinos. Judá será sitiada, lo mismo que Jerusalén, 3 y todas las naciones de la tierra se juntarán contra ella.
»En aquel día convertiré a Jerusalén en una roca inconmovible para todos los pueblos. Los que intenten moverla quedarán despedazados.
4 »En aquel día espantaré a todos los caballos y enloqueceré a sus jinetes», afirma el Señor. «Me mantendré vigilante sobre Judá, pero dejaré ciegos a los caballos de todas las naciones. 5 Entonces los jefes de Judá pensarán: “La fortaleza de los habitantes de Jerusalén es su Dios, el Señor de los Ejércitos”.
6 »En aquel día convertiré a los jefes de Judá en un brasero ardiente dentro de un bosque, en una antorcha encendida entre las gavillas. A diestra y a siniestra devorarán a todos los pueblos vecinos, pero Jerusalén será habitada en el lugar de siempre. 7 El Señor salvará primero las viviendas de Judá, para que no sea mayor la gloria de la casa real de David y la de los habitantes de Jerusalén, que la de Judá.
8 »En aquel día el Señor protegerá a los habitantes de Jerusalén. El más débil entre ellos será como David y la casa real de David será como Dios, como el ángel del Señor que marcha al frente de ellos.
Lamento por el que fue traspasado
9 »En aquel día me dispondré a destruir a todas las naciones que ataquen a Jerusalén. 10 Sobre la casa real de David y los habitantes de Jerusalén derramaré el Espíritu[a] de gracia y de súplica. Entonces me mirarán a mí, a quien traspasaron, y harán lamentación con duelo como por su hijo único. Llorarán amargamente, como quien llora por su primogénito.
11 »En aquel día habrá una gran lamentación en Jerusalén, como la de Hadad Rimón en la llanura de Meguido. 12 Todo el país hará duelo, familia por familia: la familia de David y sus mujeres, la familia de Natán y sus mujeres, 13 la familia de Leví y sus mujeres, la familia de Simí y sus mujeres, 14 y todas las demás familias y sus mujeres.

Jerusalem’s Enemies to Be Destroyed
12 A prophecy:(A) The word of the Lord concerning Israel.
The Lord, who stretches out the heavens,(B) who lays the foundation of the earth,(C) and who forms the human spirit within a person,(D) declares: 2 “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup(E) that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling.(F) Judah(G) will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. 3 On that day, when all the nations(H) of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock(I) for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure(J) themselves. 4 On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness,” declares the Lord. “I will keep a watchful eye over Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations.(K) 5 Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The people of Jerusalem are strong,(L) because the Lord Almighty is their God.’
6 “On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot(M) in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume(N) all the surrounding peoples right and left, but Jerusalem will remain intact(O) in her place.
7 “The Lord will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah.(P) 8 On that day the Lord will shield(Q) those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest(R) among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God,(S) like the angel of the Lord going before(T) them. 9 On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations(U) that attack Jerusalem.(V)
Mourning for the One They Pierced
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit[a](W) of grace and supplication.(X) They will look on[b] me, the one they have pierced,(Y) and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child,(Z) and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.(AA) 11 On that day the weeping(AB) in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.(AC) 12 The land will mourn,(AD) each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, 13 the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives, 14 and all the rest of the clans and their wives.(AE)

12 The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
4 In that day, saith the Lord, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the Lord of hosts their God.
6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
7 The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
8 In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;
14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
