6 大衛召集了三萬名以色列精兵， 2 率領他們到猶大的巴拉去接上帝的約櫃。這約櫃以坐在基路伯天使上面的萬軍之耶和華的名字命名。 3 他們把上帝的約櫃從座落在山上的亞比拿達家抬出來，放在一輛新造的牛車上，由亞比拿達的兩個兒子烏撒和亞希約趕車， 4 亞希約走在約櫃前面。 5 大衛和全體以色列人在耶和華面前用琴、瑟、鼓、鈸和鑼奏樂，盡情歌舞。 6 他們走到拿肯的麥場時，拉車的牛失蹄，烏撒便伸手去扶上帝的約櫃。 7 耶和華上帝就向烏撒發怒，因他的不敬而擊殺了他。他死在了約櫃旁邊。 8 大衛因耶和華擊殺烏撒而煩惱，就稱那地方為毗列斯·烏撒[a]，沿用至今。
9 那天，大衛懼怕耶和華，他說：「耶和華的約櫃怎能運到我這裡？」 10 他不願把耶和華的約櫃運進大衛城，而是把它運到迦特人俄別·以東家。 11 耶和華的約櫃在俄別·以東家停放了三個月，耶和華賜福給俄別·以東和他全家。
12 大衛聽說耶和華因為約櫃而賜福給俄別·以東全家及其一切所有，就滿心歡喜地去把上帝的約櫃從俄別·以東家接進大衛城。 13 這一次，抬耶和華約櫃的人走了六步，大衛就獻上公牛和肥犢為祭。 14 大衛穿著細麻布的以弗得在耶和華面前盡情跳舞。 15 大衛和全體以色列人在歡呼聲和號角聲中把耶和華的約櫃迎進大衛城。
16 耶和華的約櫃進大衛城的時候，掃羅的女兒米甲從窗戶看見大衛在耶和華面前又跳又舞，心裡就輕視他。 17 他們把耶和華的約櫃抬來，安放在大衛準備好的帳篷裡。大衛在耶和華面前獻上燔祭和平安祭， 18 然後奉萬軍之耶和華的名給民眾祝福， 19 還分給所有以色列人，不論男女，每人一個餅、一塊肉和一個葡萄餅。眾人就各自回家去了。
20 大衛回到家為自己的家人祝福，米甲出來迎接他，說：「今天以色列王好光彩呀！居然像個粗俗之人，在臣僕和婢女面前露體！」 21 大衛對她說：「我是在耶和華面前跳舞。祂不用你父親和你父親家裡的人，而是選立我來治理祂的以色列子民，所以我要在祂面前歡慶。 22 我要讓自己更卑微，自視低賤，但你說的那些婢女會尊重我。」
23 掃羅的女兒米甲終生都沒有生育。

The Ark Brought to Jerusalem(A)(B)
6 David again brought together all the able young men of Israel—thirty thousand. 2 He and all his men went to Baalah[a](C) in Judah to bring up from there the ark(D) of God, which is called by the Name,[b](E) the name of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned(F) between the cherubim(G) on the ark. 3 They set the ark of God on a new cart(H) and brought it from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill.(I) Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, were guiding the new cart 4 with the ark of God on it,[c] and Ahio was walking in front of it. 5 David and all Israel were celebrating(J) with all their might before the Lord, with castanets,[d] harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums and cymbals.(K)
6 When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of(L) the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled. 7 The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act;(M) therefore God struck him down,(N) and he died there beside the ark of God.
8 Then David was angry because the Lord’s wrath(O) had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.[e](P)
9 David was afraid of the Lord that day and said, “How(Q) can the ark of the Lord ever come to me?” 10 He was not willing to take the ark of the Lord to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-Edom(R) the Gittite. 11 The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed him and his entire household.(S)
12 Now King David(T) was told, “The Lord has blessed the household of Obed-Edom and everything he has, because of the ark of God.” So David went to bring up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing. 13 When those who were carrying the ark of the Lord had taken six steps, he sacrificed(U) a bull and a fattened calf. 14 Wearing a linen ephod,(V) David was dancing(W) before the Lord with all his might, 15 while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts(X) and the sound of trumpets.(Y)
16 As the ark of the Lord was entering the City of David,(Z) Michal(AA) daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart.
17 They brought the ark of the Lord and set it in its place inside the tent that David had pitched for it,(AB) and David sacrificed burnt offerings(AC) and fellowship offerings before the Lord. 18 After he had finished sacrificing(AD) the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he blessed(AE) the people in the name of the Lord Almighty. 19 Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins(AF) to each person in the whole crowd of Israelites, both men and women.(AG) And all the people went to their homes.
20 When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half-naked(AH) in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!”
21 David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed(AI) me ruler(AJ) over the Lord’s people Israel—I will celebrate before the Lord. 22 I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.”
23 And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.

6 Después de esto, David reunió a sus mejores guerreros, que eran unos treinta mil, y se dirigió a Balá de Judá. 2 En ese momento el cofre de Dios se hallaba en Balá. Era sobre el cofre que se invocaba el nombre del Señor Todopoderoso que reina entre los querubines. 3 Sacaron el cofre de la casa de Abinadab, que estaba en la colina, y lo pusieron en una carreta nueva, la cual era guiada por Uza y Ajío, hijos de Abinadab. 4 Ajío iba delante del cofre de Dios, 5 seguido por David y los demás jefes de Israel, que danzaban y cantaban con alegría, acompañados de toda clase de instrumentos: arpas, liras, salterios, panderetas, castañuelas y címbalos.
6 Pero cuando llegaron al campo de Nacón, los bueyes tropezaron; entonces Uza extendió la mano para que el cofre no se cayera. 7 Esto hizo que se encendiera la ira del Señor contra Uza, y lo hirió por aquel atrevimiento. Uza murió allí junto al cofre.
8 David se entristeció mucho por lo que el Señor había hecho, y llamó aquel lugar Peres Uza (lugar de la ira de Dios contra Uza), y así se le conoce hasta hoy. 9 David sintió miedo del Señor y exclamó: «¡Es mejor no sacar de aquí el cofre del Señor!». 10 Así que decidió no llevar el cofre hasta la Ciudad de David, sino que la dejó en la casa de Obed Edom, que era de Gat. 11 Allí estuvo el cofre por tres meses, y el Señor bendijo a Obed Edom y a toda su familia.
12 Cuando David supo esto, llevó el cofre a la Ciudad de David, en medio de una gran algarabía. 13 Cada vez que los hombres que llevaban el cofre caminaban seis pasos, David sacrificaba un toro y un ternero gordo. 14 David, que tenía puesta una túnica sacerdotal de lino, danzaba delante del Señor con todas sus fuerzas. 15 Los israelitas, pues, trasladaron a su destino el cofre del Señor en medio de gritos de alegría y al son de trompetas.
16 Cuando la procesión entró en la Ciudad de David, Mical, hija de Saúl, se asomó a la ventana; y al ver al rey David saltando y danzando delante del Señor, se enojó mucho con él y lo despreció.
17 El cofre fue colocado dentro de una carpa que David había preparado para ponerlo allí. Luego, David ofreció holocaustos y sacrificios de paz al Señor. 18 Después de esto, David bendijo al pueblo en el nombre del Señor Todopoderoso 19 y a cada uno de los que estaban allí reunidos, tanto a hombres como a mujeres, les dio un pan, una torta de dátiles y otra de uvas pasas. Al finalizar la celebración, cada uno regresó a su propia casa.
20 David también regresó a su casa para bendecir a su familia. Pero Mical salió a su encuentro y le dijo con intenso disgusto:
―¡Hoy no te has comportado como un rey! ¡Hiciste el ridículo delante de todos! ¡Te descubriste delante de las criadas como un cualquiera!
21 David le respondió:
―Yo estaba danzando delante del Señor, quien me prefirió a tu padre y a toda tu familia, y me señaló como jefe de su pueblo Israel. ¡Estoy más que dispuesto a actuar como un necio a fin de mostrar mi gozo delante del Señor! 22 Pareceré un necio ante tus ojos, pero seré admirado por las criadas de las cuales has hablado.
23 Y Mical, hija de Saúl, murió sin haber tenido hijos.
