26 撒母耳這孩子漸漸長大，耶和華與人越發喜愛他。
27 有神人來見以利，對他說：「耶和華如此說：『你祖宗的家在埃及法老家[a]的時候，我不是向他們顯現嗎？ 28 在以色列眾支派中，我不是揀選他作我的祭司，上我的祭壇，燒香，在我面前穿以弗得嗎？我不是將以色列人所獻的火祭都賜給你祖宗的家嗎？

26 And the boy Samuel continued to grow(A) in stature and in favor with the Lord and with people.(B)
Prophecy Against the House of Eli
27 Now a man of God(C) came to Eli and said to him, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Did I not clearly reveal myself to your ancestor’s family when they were in Egypt under Pharaoh? 28 I chose(D) your ancestor out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn incense,(E) and to wear an ephod(F) in my presence. I also gave your ancestor’s family all the food offerings(G) presented by the Israelites.
