将来必有人背道行恶

3 你该知道，末世必有危险的日子来到。 2 因为那时人要专顾自己，贪爱钱财，自夸，狂傲，谤讟，违背父母，忘恩负义，心不圣洁， 3 无亲情，不解怨，好说谗言，不能自约，性情凶暴，不爱良善， 4 卖主卖友，任意妄为，自高自大，爱宴乐不爱神， 5 有敬虔的外貌却背了敬虔的实意。这等人你要躲开。 6 那偷进人家，牢笼无知妇女的，正是这等人。这些妇女担负罪恶，被各样的私欲引诱， 7 常常学习，终久不能明白真道。 8 从前雅尼和佯庇怎样敌挡摩西，这等人也怎样敌挡真道。他们的心地坏了，在真道上是可废弃的。 9 然而他们不能再这样敌挡，因为他们的愚昧必在众人面前显露出来，像那二人一样。 10 但你已经服从了我的教训、品行、志向、信心、宽容、爱心、忍耐， 11 以及我在安提阿、以哥念、路司得所遭遇的逼迫、苦难。我所忍受是何等的逼迫，但从这一切苦难中，主都把我救出来了。 12 不但如此，凡立志在基督耶稣里敬虔度日的，也都要受逼迫。 13 只是作恶的和迷惑人的必越久越恶，他欺哄人，也被人欺哄。 14 但你所学习的、所确信的，要存在心里，因为你知道是跟谁学的， 15 并且知道你是从小明白圣经，这圣经能使你因信基督耶稣有得救的智慧。

圣经都是有益的

16 圣经都是神所默示的[a]，于教训、督责、使人归正、教导人学义都是有益的， 17 叫属神的人得以完全，预备行各样的善事。

3 你要知道，末世必有艱難的日子， 2 因為那時的人都自私自利、貪愛錢財、狂妄自誇、驕傲自負、說毀謗話、違背父母、忘恩負義、心不聖潔、 3 冷漠無情、不願和解、好說讒言、毫無節制、蠻橫兇暴、不愛良善、 4 出賣朋友、任意妄為、自高自大、沉溺享樂、不愛上帝， 5 虛有敬虔的外表，卻無敬虔的實質。你要避開這樣的人。

6 這些人溜進別人家裡，哄騙那些意志薄弱的婦女。那些婦女心中充滿罪惡，受各種邪情私慾的驅使， 7 雖然常常學習，卻不能明白真理。 8 現在這些人敵對真理，就像從前雅尼和佯庇反對摩西一樣，他們的心思壞透了，他們的信仰是虛假的。 9 不過，他們猖狂不了多久，因為他們的愚昧行徑必暴露在眾人面前，就像雅尼和佯庇的下場一樣。

聖經的益處

10 但你熟知我的教導、言行、志向、信心、忍耐、愛心、毅力， 11 也知道我在安提阿、以哥念、路司得遭遇了何等的迫害和苦難。但主從這一切患難中救了我。 12 其實凡立志在基督耶穌裡過敬虔生活的人都會受到迫害。 13 而惡人和騙子會變本加厲地迷惑人，也被人迷惑。

14 但你要把自己所學的、所篤信的記在心裡，因為你知道是跟誰學的， 15 並且你從小就熟悉聖經。聖經能給你智慧，使你藉著信基督耶穌得到拯救。 16 聖經全部是上帝啟示的，有益於教導、督責、使人歸正、培養人行義， 17 使屬上帝的人得到充分的裝備，去行各種善事。

3 1 He foretelleth the dangerous times that are to ensue: 9 but with the certain hope of victory, 10 he encourageth him to the combat, 14 setting out especially the trial of sound doctrine.

1 This [a]know also, that in the (A)last days shall come perilous times.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, cursed speakers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, [b]unholy,

3 Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, intemperate, fierce, no lovers at all of them which are good,

4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God,

5 Having a show of godliness, but have denied the power thereof: [c]turn away therefore from such.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive simple women laden with sins, and led with divers lusts,

7 Which women are ever learning, and are never able to come to the acknowledging of the truth.

8 (B)And as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth, men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

9 [d]But they shall prevail no longer: for their madness shall be evident unto all men, as theirs also was.

10 [e]But thou hast [f]fully known my doctrine, manner of living, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience,

11 Persecutions, and afflictions which came unto me at [g]Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra, which persecutions I suffered: but from them all the Lord delivered me.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus, shall suffer persecution.

13 But the evil men and deceivers shall wax [h]worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned, and which are committed unto thee, knowing of whom thou hast learned them:

15 And that thou hast known the holy Scriptures of a child, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 (C)[i]For the whole Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable to teach, to convince, to correct, and to instruct in righteousness,

17 That the [j]man of God may be absolute, being made perfect unto all good works.

  9. 2 Timothy 3:16 The eighth admonition, which is most precious: A Pastor must be wise by the word of God only: wherein we have perfectly delivered unto us, whatsoever pertaineth either to discern, know and establish true opinions, and to confute false, and furthermore, to correct evil manners, and to frame good.
  10. 2 Timothy 3:17 The Prophets and expounders of God’s will, are properly and peculiarly called, Men of God.

3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.(A) 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money,(B) boastful, proud,(C) abusive,(D) disobedient to their parents,(E) ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous,(F) rash, conceited,(G) lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness(H) but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.(I)

6 They are the kind who worm their way(J) into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.(K) 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses,(L) so also these teachers oppose(M) the truth. They are men of depraved minds,(N) who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men,(O) their folly will be clear to everyone.

A Final Charge to Timothy

10 You, however, know all about my teaching,(P) my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch,(Q) Iconium(R) and Lystra,(S) the persecutions I endured.(T) Yet the Lord rescued(U) me from all of them.(V) 12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,(W) 13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse,(X) deceiving and being deceived.(Y) 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,(Z) 15 and how from infancy(AA) you have known the Holy Scriptures,(AB) which are able to make you wise(AC) for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed(AD) and is useful for teaching,(AE) rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,(AF) 17 so that the servant of God[a](AG) may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.(AH)
