问安
1 耶稣基督的仆人和使徒西门．彼得，写信给那靠着我们的 神和救主耶稣基督的义，得着和我们同样宝贵信心的人。 2 愿恩惠平安，因你们确实认识 神和我们的主耶稣，多多加给你们。
信徒应当追求长进
3 神以他神圣的能力，因着我们确实认识那位用自己的荣耀和美善呼召我们的，把一切有关生命和敬虔的事，都赐给了我们。 4 借着这些，他把又宝贵又极大的应许赐给了我们，好叫你们既然逃脱世上因私欲而来的败坏，就可以分享 神的本性。 5 正因这缘故，你们要多多努力：有了信心，又要增添美德；有了美德，又要增添知识； 6 有了知识，又要增添节制；有了节制，又要增添忍耐；有了忍耐，又要增添敬虔； 7 有了敬虔，又要增添弟兄的爱；有了弟兄的爱，还要增添神圣的爱。 8 因为你们有了这几样，并且继续增长，就必叫你们在确实认识我们的主耶稣基督上，不至于闲懒不结果子。 9 人若没有这几样，就是近视，简直是瞎眼的，忘记他过去的罪已经得了洁净。 10 所以弟兄们，要更加努力，使你们所蒙的呼召和拣选坚定不移；你们若实行这几样，就决不会跌倒。 11 这样，你们就得着充分的装备，可以进入我们的主和救主耶稣基督永远的国。
12 因此，你们虽然已经知道这些事，又在你们已有的真道上得到坚固，我还要时常提醒你们。 13 趁着我还在世上（“在世上”原文作“在这帐棚”）的时候，我认为应当提醒你们，使你们常常警醒， 14 因为我知道我离世（“离世”原文作“离开这帐棚”）的时候快到了，正如我们的主耶稣基督清楚指示我的。 15 我也要努力，使你们在我去世以后，还时常追念这些事。
信徒和先知都为基督作见证
16 我们从前把我们主耶稣基督的大能和降临的事告诉你们，并不是随从巧妙捏造传奇的故事，我们却是亲眼看见过他威荣的人。 17 因为他从父 神得着尊贵荣耀的时候，在极显赫的荣光中，有这样的声音对他说：“这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的。” 18 这从天上发出来的声音，是我们和他同在圣山上的时候，亲自听见过的。 19 我们还有先知的话，是更确实的。你们要特别注意它，好象注意照在暗处的明灯，直到天将破晓，晨星在你们心里出现的时候。 20 最要紧的，你们应当知道：圣经所有的预言，都不是先知自己的见解， 21 因为预言不是出于人意的，而是人受圣灵的感动，说出从 神而来的话。

1 यीशु मसीह के सेवक तथा प्रेरित शमौन पतरस की ओर से उन लोगों के नाम जिन्हें परमेश्वर से हमारे जैसा ही विश्वास प्राप्त है। क्योंकि हमारा परमेश्वर और उद्धारकर्ता यीशु मसीह न्यायपूर्ण है।
2 तुम परमेश्वर और हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह को जान चुके हो इसलिए तुम्हें परमेश्वर की कृपा और अनुग्रह अधिक से अधिक प्राप्त हो।
परमेश्वर ने हमें सब कुछ दिया है
3 अपने जीवन के लिए और परमेश्वर की सेवा के लिए जो कुछ हमें चाहिए, अपनी दिव्य शक्ति के द्वारा उसने सब कुछ हमें दिया है। क्योंकि हम उसे जानते हैं, जिसने अपनी धार्मिकता और महिमा के कारण हमें बुलाया है। 4 इन्हीं के द्वारा उसने हमें वे महान और अमूल्य वरदान दिये हैं, जिन्हें देने की उसने प्रतिज्ञा की थी ताकि उनके द्वारा तुम स्वयं परमेश्वर के समान हो जाओ और उस विनाश से बच जाओ जो लोगों की बुरी इच्छाओं के कारण इस जगत में स्थित है।
5 सो इसलिए अपने विश्वास में उत्तम गुणों को, उत्तम गुणों में ज्ञान को, 6 ज्ञान में आत्मसंयम को, आत्मसंयम में धैर्य को, धैर्य में परमेश्वर की भक्ति को, 7 भक्ति में भाईचारे को और भाईचारे में प्रेम को उदारता के साथ बढ़ाते चलो। 8 क्योंकि यदि ये गुण तुममें हैं और उनका विकास हो रहा है तो वे तुम्हें कर्मशील और सफल बना देंगे तथा उनसे तुम्हें हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह का परिपूर्ण ज्ञान प्राप्त होगा 9 किन्तु जिसमें ये गुण नहीं हैं, उसमें दूर-दृष्टि नहीं है, वह अन्धा है। तथा वह यह भूल चुका है कि उसके पूर्व पापों को धोया जा चुका है।
10 इसलिए हे भाइयो, यह दिखाने के लिए और अधिक तत्पर रहो कि तुम्हें वास्तव में परमेश्वर द्वारा बुलाया गया है और चुना गया है क्योंकि यदि तुम इन बातों को करते हो तो न कभी ठोकर खाओगे और न ही गिरोगे, 11 और इस प्रकार हमारे प्रभु एवम् उद्धारकर्ता यीशु मसीह के अनन्त राज्य में तुम्हें प्रवेश देकर परमेश्वर अपनी उदारता दिखायेगा।
12 इसी कारण मैं तुम्हें, यद्यपि तुम उन्हें जानते ही हो और जो सत्य तुम्हें मिला है, उस पर टिके भी हुए हो, इन बातों को सदा याद दिलाता रहूँगा। 13 मैं जब तक इस काया में हूँ, तुम्हें याद दिलाकर सचेत करते रहने को उचित समझता हूँ। 14 क्योंकि मैं यह जानता हूँ कि मुझे अपनी इस काया को शीघ्र ही छोड़ देना है। जैसा कि हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने मुझे समझाया है। 15 इसलिए मैं हर प्रयत्न करूँगा कि मेरे मर जाने के बाद भी तुम इन बातों को सदा याद कर सको।
हमने मसीह की महिमा के दर्शन किये हैं
16 जब हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह के समर्थ आगमन के विषय में हमने तुम्हें बताया था, तब चतुरतापूर्वक गढ़ी हुई कहानियों का सहारा नहीं लिया था क्योंकि हम तो उसकी महानता के स्वयं साक्षी हैं। 17 जब परमपिता परमेश्वर से उसने सम्मान और महिमा प्राप्त की तो उस दिव्य-महिमा से विशिष्ट वाणी प्रकट हुई, “यह मेरा प्रिय पुत्र है, मैं इससे प्रसन्न हूँ।” 18 हमने आकाश से आयी वह वाणी सुनी थी। तब हम पवित्र पर्वत पर उसके साथ ही थे।
19 हमें भी नबियों के वचन पर और अधिक आस्था हुई। इस पर ध्यान देकर तुम भी अच्छा कर रहे हो क्योंकि यह तो एक प्रकाश है, जो एक अन्धेरे स्थान में तब तक चमक रहा है जब तक पौ फटती है और तुम्हारे हृदयों में भोर के तारे का उदय होता है। 20 किन्तु सबसे बड़ी बात यह है कि तुम्हें यह जान लेना चाहिए कि शास्त्र की कोई भी भविष्यवाणी किसी नबी के निजी विचारों का परिणाम नहीं है, 21 क्योंकि कोई मनुष्य जो कहना चाहता है, उसके अनुसार भविष्यवाणी नहीं होती। बल्कि पवित्र आत्मा की प्रेरणा से मनुष्य परमेश्वर की वाणी बोलते हैं।

1 我是耶稣基督的奴仆和使徒西门·彼得，写信给借着我们的上帝和救主耶稣基督的义，与我们得到同样宝贵信心的人。
2 愿你们因认识上帝和我们主耶稣而得到丰富的恩典和平安！
追求长进
3 因为我们认识了用自己的荣耀和美德呼召我们的上帝，上帝以祂神圣的能力将生命与敬虔所需要的一切赐给了我们。 4 借此，祂已将既宝贵又伟大的应许赏给了我们，使我们脱离世上私欲带来的败坏，能够有份于上帝的性情。
5 正因如此，你们要加倍努力，不仅要有信心，还要有好的德行；不仅要有好的德行，还要有知识； 6 不仅要有知识，还要有节制；不仅要有节制，还要有忍耐；不仅要有忍耐，还要有敬虔； 7 不仅要有敬虔，还要有爱弟兄姊妹的心；不仅要有爱弟兄姊妹的心，还要有爱众人的心。 8 如果充分具备了这些品德，你们对我们主耶稣基督的认识就不会停滞不前，毫无收获。 9 缺乏上述品德的人不是瞎眼就是目光短浅，忘记他从前的罪已经得到洁净。
10 所以，弟兄姊妹，你们要更加努力，以确定自己蒙了呼召和拣选。这样，你们就绝不会失足犯罪， 11 进入我们的主和救主耶稣基督永恒国度的大门必为你们敞开。
12 虽然你们已经知道这些事，并且在所领受的真道上也很坚固，但我还是要常常提醒你们。 13 我觉得应当趁着我还在世的时候[a]提醒你们，激励你们， 14 因我知道自己离世的日子已经不远了，正如我们的主耶稣基督指示我的。 15 我要尽力使你们在我离世以后仍然常常记得这些事。
见证基督的荣耀
16 我们从前告诉你们有关主耶稣基督的大能和祂降临的事，并非根据巧妙虚构的神话，而是我们亲眼见过祂的威荣。 17 祂从父上帝那里得到了尊贵和荣耀，那时从极大的荣光中有声音对祂说：“这是我的爱子，我甚喜悦祂。” 18 当时我们和祂一同在圣山上，亲耳听见了这来自天上的声音。
19 这使我们更加确信先知的预言。你们要留意这些预言，把这些预言看作照耀在黑暗中的明灯，一直到天破晓、晨星在你们心中升起。 20 你们首先该知道：圣经上的一切预言都不可随人的私意解释， 21 因为预言绝非出于人的意思，都是人受了圣灵的感动，讲出上帝的信息。

1 Simeon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained a faith equal in value to ours by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 because his divine power has bestowed on us all things that are necessary for life and godliness, through the knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence of character, 4 through which things he has bestowed on us his precious and very great promises, so that through these you may become sharers of the divine nature after[a] escaping from the corruption that is in the world because of evil desire, 5 and for this same reason, and by[b] applying all diligence, supply with your faith excellence of character, and with excellence of character, knowledge, 6 and with knowledge, self-control, and with self-control, patient endurance, and with patient endurance, godliness, 7 and with godliness, brotherly love, and with brotherly love, love.
Make Your Calling and Election Secure
8 For if[c] these things are yours and are increasing, this does not make you useless or unproductive in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For the one for whom these things are not present is blind, being nearsighted, having forgotten the cleansing[d] of his former sins. 10 Therefore, brothers, be zealous even more to make your calling and election secure, because if you[e] do these things, you will never ever stumble. 11 For in this way entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplied for you.
12 Therefore I intend to remind you continually concerning these things, although you know them and are established in the truth that you have. 13 But I consider it right, for as long as I am in this habitation, to stir you up by a reminder, 14 because I[f] know that the removal of my habitation is imminent, as indeed our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me. 15 And I will also make every effort that you are able at any time, after my departure, to recall these things to mind[g].
The Reliable Prophetic Word of Testimony
16 For we did not make known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ by[h] following ingeniously concocted myths, but by[i] being eyewitnesses of that one’s majesty. 17 For he received honor and glory from God the Father when[j] a voice such as this was brought to him by the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” 18 And we ourselves heard this voice brought from heaven when we[k] were with him on the holy mountain, 19 and we possess as more reliable the prophetic word, to which you do well if you[l] pay attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 20 recognizing this above all, that every prophecy of scripture does not come about from one’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men carried along by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
