22 你們既因順服真理，潔淨了自己的心，能夠真誠地愛弟兄姊妹，就當以清潔的心彼此切實相愛。 23 你們獲得重生，不是藉著會腐爛的種子，而是藉著不會腐爛的種子——上帝活潑永存的道。 24 因為
「芸芸眾生盡如草，
榮華不過草上花；
草必枯乾花必殘，
25 唯有主道永長存。」
這道就是傳給你們的福音。
渴慕靈奶
2 因此，你們既然已經除去一切惡毒、欺詐、虛偽、嫉妒和毀謗， 2 就要像初生的嬰兒一樣渴慕純淨的靈奶，好不斷成長，直到完全得救。 3 因為你們嚐過主恩的滋味是何等甘美。
靈宮活石
4 主是活石，雖然被人棄絕，卻被上帝揀選、視為寶貴。 5 你們也如同活石，被用來建造屬靈的宮殿，好做聖潔的祭司，藉著耶穌基督獻上蒙上帝悅納的靈祭。

22 你们既因顺服真理，洁净了自己的心，能够真诚地爱弟兄姊妹，就当以清洁的心彼此切实相爱。 23 你们获得重生，不是借着会腐烂的种子，而是借着不会腐烂的种子——上帝活泼永存的道。 24 因为
“芸芸众生尽如草，
荣华不过草上花；
草必枯干花必残，
25 唯有主道永长存。”
这道就是传给你们的福音。
渴慕灵奶
2 因此，你们既然已经除去一切恶毒、欺诈、虚伪、嫉妒和毁谤， 2 就要像初生的婴儿一样渴慕纯净的灵奶，好不断成长，直到完全得救。 3 因为你们尝过主恩的滋味是何等甘美。
灵宫活石
4 主是活石，虽然被人弃绝，却被上帝拣选、视为宝贵。 5 你们也如同活石，被用来建造属灵的宫殿，好做圣洁的祭司，借着耶稣基督献上蒙上帝悦纳的灵祭。

22 Now that you have purified(A) yourselves by obeying(B) the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply,(C) from the heart.[a] 23 For you have been born again,(D) not of perishable seed, but of imperishable,(E) through the living and enduring word of God.(F) 24 For,
“All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.”[b](G)
And this is the word that was preached to you.
2 Therefore, rid yourselves(H) of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander(I) of every kind. 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk,(J) so that by it you may grow up(K) in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.(L)
The Living Stone and a Chosen People
4 As you come to him, the living Stone(M)—rejected by humans but chosen by God(N) and precious to him— 5 you also, like living stones, are being built(O) into a spiritual house[c](P) to be a holy priesthood,(Q) offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.(R)

22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
2 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
