6 不可有人在這事上越軌，對不起他的弟兄，因為關於這一切事，主是報應者，正如我們以前也告訴過、鄭重地勸誡過你們。 7 要知道，神召喚我們，不是要我們沾染汙穢，而是要我們分別為聖。 8 因此，那拒絕這吩咐[a]的，不是拒絕人，而是拒絕神——就是將他的聖靈賜給你們[b]的那一位。

6 and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister.[a](A) The Lord will punish(B) all those who commit such sins,(C) as we told you and warned you before. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.(D) 8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.(E)
