请求代祷
3 弟兄姊妹，最后我还要请你们为我们祷告，好使主的道像在你们那里一样迅速传开，受到尊崇， 2 并使我们能避开那些邪恶的人，因为不是人人都有信心。
3 主是信实的，祂必使你们刚强，保护你们脱离那恶者。 4 我们靠着主深信你们现在遵行了我们的吩咐，而且以后还会继续遵行。
5 愿主引导你们的心领悟上帝的爱和基督的坚忍。
不可游手好闲
6 弟兄姊妹，现在我们奉主耶稣基督的名吩咐你们，要远离那些游手好闲、不遵守我们教导的信徒。 7 你们自己知道应该怎样效法我们，因为我们在你们那里的时候，并没有懒懒散散， 8 也没有白吃谁的饭，而是昼夜辛勤工作，免得成为你们任何人的负担。 9 我们并不是没有权利接受供应，而是要给你们树立学习的榜样。 10 我们在你们那里的时候，曾吩咐过你们：不肯工作的人没有资格吃饭。 11 我们听说在你们当中有些人游手好闲，无所事事，却专管闲事。 12 我们奉主耶稣基督的名吩咐并劝诫这些人要安分守己，自食其力。
13 弟兄姊妹，你们要坚持行善，不要灰心。 14 如果有人不听从这信上的教导，要注意提防他，不要和他来往，好使他羞愧。 15 只是不可把他当作仇人，要像对待弟兄姊妹一样劝诫他。

16 愿平安之主随时随地亲自赐你们平安！愿主与你们同在！ 17 我保罗在这里亲笔问候你们，这是我的笔迹，我所有的信都以此为记号。

ג לסיום, אחים יקרים, אנא, התפללו בעדנו. ראשית כל התפללו שבשורת ה' תופץ במהירות וביעילות בכל מקום, ותביא לו כבוד רב כפי שהביאה ביניכם. 2 שנית, התפללו שלא ניפול בידי אנשים רשעים, שהרי לא כולם אוהבים את האדון. 3 אך אתם יכולים לסמוך על האדון שיחזק וישמור אתכם מכל רע. 4 האדון גם העניק לנו את הביטחון שאתם מקיימים הלכה למעשה את מה שלימדנו אתכם, ואף שתמשיכו בכך בעתיד. 5 והאדון ישוע יכשיר את לבבכם להבין את משמעותה ועומקה של אהבת אלוהים וסבלנותו של המשיח.
6 אחים יקרים, אנו מצווים עליכם בשם ישוע המשיח אדוננו ובסמכותו: התרחקו מכל מאמין עקשן שמסרב לקיים את ההוראות שמסרנו לכם. 7 אתם יודעים היטב שעליכם להתנהג כמונו, שכן מעולם לא ראיתם אותנו סוטים מהדרך הנכונה; 8 מעולם לא אכלנו בחינם – תמיד שילמנו בעד מה שקיבלנו. עבדנו קשה יומם ולילה כדי להרוויח את מחייתנו, כי לא רצינו להכביד על איש מכם. 9 אל תחשבו שלא הייתה לנו הזכות לבקש מכם לספק את מזוננו – פשוט רצינו להראות לכם כיצד עליכם לעבוד לפרנסתכם.
10 עוד בהיותנו אצלכם ביקשנו מכם לשמור על העיקרון: "מי שלא יעבוד לא יאכל!"
11 אך בכל זאת אנו שומעים כי יש ביניכם טפילים עצלים, המסרבים לעבוד ומבזבזים את זמנם ברכילות וחרחורי-ריב. 12 אנחנו מזהירים את האנשים האלה ומצווים עליהם בשם אדוננו ישוע המשיח: לכו לעבוד והרוויחו את לחמכם בכבוד! 13 ולשאר האחים אני אומר: לעולם אל תתייאשו ואל תפסיקו לעשות מעשים טובים.
14 גרשו מקרבכם את מי שמסרב לשמוע לדברינו שכתובים במכתב זה, כדי שיתבייש בעצמו. 15 אל תתייחסו אליו כאל אויב, אלא כאל אח תועה שיש להזהירו ולהחזירו לדרך הישר. 16 ואדון השלום בעצמו יעניק לכם את שלומו בכל עת ובכל מקום. יהיה האדון עם כולכם.
2 Thessalonians 3

3 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

3 (A)Finally, brothers and sisters, (B)pray for us that (C)the word of the Lord will [a]spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it was also with you; 2 and that we will be (D)rescued from troublesome and evil people; for not all have the faith. 3 But (E)the Lord is faithful, [b]and He will strengthen and protect you [c]from (F)the evil one. 4 We have (G)confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you (H)are doing, and will do, what we command. 5 May the Lord (I)direct your hearts to the love of God and to the perseverance of Christ.
6 Now we command you, brothers and sisters, (J)in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you [d](K)keep away from every brother or sister who [e]leads a [f](L)disorderly life and not one in accordance with (M)the tradition which [g]you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to [h](N)follow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined way among you, 8 nor did we (O)eat [i]anyone’s bread [j]without paying for it, but with (P)labor and hardship we kept (Q)working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you; 9 not because we do not have (R)the right to this, but in order to offer ourselves (S)as a role model for you, so that you would [k]follow our example. 10 For even (T)when we were with you, we used to give you this order: (U)if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either. 11 For we hear that some among you are (V)leading an undisciplined life, doing no work at all, but acting like (W)busybodies. 12 Now we command and (X)exhort such persons in the Lord Jesus Christ to (Y)work [l]peacefully and eat their own bread. 13 But as for you, (Z)brothers and sisters, (AA)do not grow weary of doing good.
14 If anyone does not obey our [m]instruction [n](AB)in this letter, take special note of that person so as (AC)not to associate with him, so that he will be (AD)put to shame. 15 And yet (AE)do not regard that person as an enemy, but [o](AF)admonish that one as a (AG)brother or sister.
16 Now (AH)may the Lord of peace (AI)Himself continually grant you peace in every [p]circumstance. (AJ)The Lord be with you all!
17 [q]I, Paul, write this greeting (AK)with my own hand, and this is a distinguishing mark in every letter; this is the way I write. 18 (AL)The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
