请求代祷
3 最后，弟兄们，请为我们祷告：愿主的福音[a]能迅速传开[b]，并且得着荣耀，就像在你们那里一样； 2 愿神[c]救我们脱离那些无理和邪恶的人，因为不是每个人都有这信仰。 3 不过主是信实的，他会坚固你们、保守你们脱离那恶者。 4 至于你们，我们在主里深信，你们正在遵行，并且也将继续遵行我们所吩咐的。 5 愿主引导你们的心归于神的慈爱，又归于基督的忍耐。
劝诫懒惰的人
6 弟兄们，我们奉我们主耶稣基督的名吩咐你们，要避开所有过着懒散生活，以及不照着你们从我们领受的传统而生活的弟兄。 7 其实你们自己知道应该怎样效法我们，因为我们在你们那里的时候并没有懒散， 8 也没有白吃过谁的饭[d]。相反，我们辛苦劳碌、日夜做工，免得成为你们任何人的负担。 9 这并不是因为我们没有这权利，而是要亲自给你们做榜样，好让你们效法我们。 10 事实上，我们还在你们那里的时候，一直吩咐你们这一点：如果有人不肯做工，就不应当吃饭。 11 因为我们听说你们中间有些人生活懒散，什么工都不做，却好管闲事。 12 我们在主耶稣基督里吩咐并劝勉这样的人：要安静做工，吃自己的饭[e]。 13 不过弟兄们，你们行美善的事不要丧胆。
14 如果有人不顺从我们这信上的话语，你们就要记住这个人，不可与他交往，好让他感到羞愧； 15 可是不要把他看为敌人[f]，而要劝诫他，如同弟兄那样。
结尾的祝福
16 愿赐平安的主，常常以各种方法亲自赐给你们平安！愿主与你们大家同在！ 17 我保罗亲笔问候，这是我每一封信中的标记，我都是这样写的。 18 愿我们主耶稣基督的恩典与你们大家同在！[g]

Request for Prayer
3 As for other matters, brothers and sisters,(A) pray for us(B) that the message of the Lord(C) may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.(D) 2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people,(E) for not everyone has faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful,(F) and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.(G) 4 We have confidence(H) in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. 5 May the Lord direct your hearts(I) into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
Warning Against Idleness
6 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,(J) we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from(K) every believer who is idle and disruptive(L) and does not live according to the teaching[a] you received from us.(M) 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example.(N) We were not idle when we were with you, 8 nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked(O) night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help,(P) but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate.(Q) 10 For even when we were with you,(R) we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work(S) shall not eat.”
11 We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies.(T) 12 Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ(U) to settle down and earn the food they eat.(V) 13 And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.(W)
14 Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them,(X) in order that they may feel ashamed.(Y) 15 Yet do not regard them as an enemy, but warn them as you would a fellow believer.(Z)
Final Greetings
16 Now may the Lord of peace(AA) himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.(AB)
17 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand,(AC) which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.(AD)

不可游手好閒
6 弟兄們，我們奉主耶穌基督的名吩咐你們，凡是游手好閒的弟兄，不按著你們從我們所領受的教訓去行，就應當遠離他。 7 你們自己本來就知道應當怎樣效法我們，因為我們在你們中間並沒有游手好閒， 8 也沒有白吃過誰的飯，反而辛苦勞碌，晝夜作工，免得加重你們任何一人的負擔。 9 這不是因為我們沒有權利，而是要給你們作榜樣，好讓你們效法我們。 10 我們在你們那裡的時候，曾經吩咐過你們，如果有人不肯作工，就不可吃飯。 11 因為我們聽說，你們中間有人游手好閒，甚麼工也不作，反倒專管閒事。 12 我們靠著主耶穌基督，吩咐勸戒這樣的人，要安靜作工，自食其力。 13 弟兄們，你們行善不可灰心。 14 如果有人不聽從我們這封信上的訓勉，要把這個人記下來，不可和他來往，好叫他自己覺得慚愧。 15 但不要把他看作仇敵，卻要勸他好像勸弟兄一樣。
