1 保羅、西拉和提摩太，寫信給帖撒羅尼迦、在我們的父 神和主耶穌基督裡的教會。 2 願恩惠平安從父 神和主耶穌基督臨到你們。
主再來時必施行審判
3 弟兄們，我們應該常常為你們感謝 神，這是合適的。因為你們的信心格外長進，你們眾人彼此相愛的心也在增加。 4 所以我們在 神的眾教會裡，親自誇獎你們，因為你們在所受的一切迫害患難中，仍然存著堅忍和信心。 5 這正是 神公義判斷的明證，使你們可以算是配得上他的國；你們也是為了 神的國而受苦。 6-7 神既然是公義的，主耶穌和他有能力的天使從天上顯現在火燄中的時候，就使你們這些受災難的人，可以和我們同享安息；卻以災難報應那些把災難加給你們的人。 8 又要報應那些不認識 神、不聽從我們主耶穌的福音的人。 9-10 當主來的時候，他們要受永遠沉淪的懲罰，就是離開主的面和他權能的榮光。在那一天，他要在聖徒身上得著榮耀，又要在所有信徒身上受到尊崇（你們也在他們當中，因為你們信了我們向你們所作的見證）。 11 因此，我們常常為你們禱告，願我們的 神看你們是配得上所蒙的召，又用大能成就你們所羨慕的一切良善和信心的工作， 12 使我們主耶穌的名，照著我們的 神和主耶穌基督的恩，在你們身上得著榮耀，你們也在他身上得著榮耀。

1 我，保罗、西拉和提摩太写信给帖撒罗尼迦教会，该教会属于我们的父上帝和主耶稣基督。

3 兄弟们，我们应该常常为你们感谢上帝，这是我们应该做的，因为你们的信仰在不断地增强，对彼此的爱也在不断地增长。 4 因此在上帝的各教会里，我们夸耀你们，因为你们虽然遭受到迫害和患难，但是仍然表现出毅力和信仰。
保罗谈上帝的审判
5 这是上帝公正审判的证据。他让你们现在遭受痛苦，目的是为了使你们配得上进入上帝的王国。 6 在上帝眼里，这是应该的：用灾难回报那些使你们遭受痛苦的人， 7 让遭受了苦难的你们和我们一同得到安宁。当主耶稣向我们显现的时候，他将带着他强大的天使从天而降。 8 他们将伴着熊熊燃烧的烈火，给那些不认识上帝和不服从我们主耶稣福音 [a]的人带来惩罚。 9 他们将要遭受永遭毁灭的惩罚，他们将被排除在主的面前和他的荣耀的大能之外。 10 耶稣来临的那天，他会在他的圣民中得到荣耀，而所有的信徒都会为他惊叹不止，你们也包括在内，因为你们相信了我们向你们为他所做的见证。
11 所以我们总是为你们祈祷，请求上帝，愿他使你们的生活不辜负他的召唤；愿凭他的力量，实现你们的每一个美好的意愿，完成你们靠信仰所做的每一件工作。 12 这样，我们主耶稣的名字在你们之中就能够得到荣誉，而你们也通过上帝和主耶稣基督的恩典在他之中得到荣耀。

1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy,
To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Grace to you and peace from God the[a] Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thanksgiving
3 We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.(A) 4 Therefore we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith during all your persecutions and the afflictions that you are enduring.(B)
The Judgment at Christ’s Coming
5 This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God and is intended to make you worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering.(C) 6 For it is indeed just of God to repay with affliction those who afflict you 7 and to give relief to the afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels(D) 8 in a fiery flame, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.(E) 9 These will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, separated from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,(F) 10 when he comes to be glorified by his saints and to be marveled at on that day among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed. 11 To this end we always pray for you, asking that our God will make you worthy of his call and will fulfill by his power every good resolve and work of faith, 12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.(G)
