3 我们的劝勉不是出于错误，也不是出于污秽，也不是用诡诈。 4 但 神既然认定我们经得起考验，把福音托付我们，我们就照着传讲，不是要讨人喜欢，而是要讨那考验我们的心的 神喜欢。 5 因为我们从来没有用过谄媚的话，这是你们知道的，也没有藏着贪心，这是 神可以作证的。

3 For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives,(A) nor are we trying to trick you.(B) 4 On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel.(C) We are not trying to please people(D) but God, who tests our hearts.(E) 5 You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed(F)—God is our witness.(G)
