14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit(A) offered himself(B) unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences(C) from acts that lead to death,[a](D) so that we may serve the living God!(E)
15 For this reason Christ is the mediator(F) of a new covenant,(G) that those who are called(H) may receive the promised(I) eternal inheritance(J)—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.(K)
16 In the case of a will,[b] it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it,

15 Therefore he is (F)the mediator of a new covenant, so that (G)those who are called may (H)receive the promised eternal inheritance, (I)since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.[b] 16 For where a will is involved, the death of the one who made it must be established.

Questo significa che non dobbiamo sentirci colpevoli per i nostri peccati. Perché, con lʼaiuto dello Spirito Santo eterno, Cristo, di sua spontanea volontà, ha offerto se stesso a Dio come vittima immacolata per i nostri peccati. 15 Quindi, Cristo è il mediatore di un nuovo patto tra Dio e gli uomini, affinché tutti quelli che sono chiamati da Dio possano ricevere quelle cose meravigliose ed eterne che Dio ha loro promesso. Questo è possibile perché Cristo è morto per liberare gli uomini dalla pena dei peccati commessi, mentre dipendevano ancora dal vecchio patto.
