¹⁴我們的主明明是從猶大支派出來的，關於這個支派，摩西並沒有提及祭司的事。 ¹⁵如果有另一位像麥基洗德那樣的祭司興起來，那麼，這裡所說的就更明顯了。 ¹⁶他成了祭司，不是按著律法上肉身的條例，卻是按著不能毀壞的生命的大能。

¹⁴For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

¹⁵And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

¹⁶Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

¹⁴For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah,^(A) and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. ¹⁵And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, ¹⁶one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life.
