7 這位麥基洗德是撒冷王,也是至高上帝的祭司。當年亞伯拉罕殺敗眾王凱旋歸來的時候,麥基洗德迎上去為他祝福, 2 亞伯拉罕把戰利品的十分之一給了他。麥基洗德這名字的原意是「公義之王」,後來他又被稱為撒冷王,意思是「和平之王」。

Melchizedek the Priest
7 This Melchizedek was king of Salem(A) and priest of God Most High.(B) He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him,(C) 2 and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.”
