忽略伟大的救恩不能逃罪
2 因此，我们必须更加密切注意所听过的道理，免得我们随流失去。 2 那透过天使所传讲的信息既然是确定的，所有干犯和不听从的，都受了应得的报应。 3 如果我们忽略了这么大的救恩，怎么能逃罪呢？这救恩起初是由主亲自宣讲的，后来听见的人给我们证实了。 4 神又照着自己的旨意，用神迹、奇事和各样异能，以及圣灵的恩赐，与他们一同作见证。
耶稣因受死得了荣耀尊贵
5 神并没有把我们所说的“将来的世界”，交给天使管辖； 6 但是有人在圣经上某一处证实说：
“人算甚么，你竟记念他？
世人算甚么，你竟眷顾他？
7 你使他暂时成了比天使卑微（“暂时成了比天使卑微”或译：“比天使稍低微一点”），
却赐给他荣耀尊贵作冠冕，（有些古卷在此有“并立他统管你手所造的一切”一句）
8 使万物都服在他的脚下。”
既然万有都服了他，就没有剩下一样不服他的了。但是现在我们还没有看见万有都服他。 9 不过，我们看见那位暂时成了比天使卑微（“暂时成了比天使卑微”或译：“比天使稍低微一点”）的耶稣，因为受了死的痛苦，就得了荣耀尊贵作冠冕，好叫他因着 神的恩典，为万人尝了死味。
救恩的元首耶稣
10 万有因他而有、藉他而造的那位，为了要带领许多儿子进入荣耀里去，使救他们的元首借着受苦而得到成全，本是合适的。 11 因为那位使人成圣的，和那些得到成圣的，同是出于一个源头；所以他称他们为弟兄也不以为耻。 12 他说：
“我要向我的弟兄宣扬你的名，
我要在聚会中歌颂你。”
13 又说：
“我要信靠他。”
又说：
“看哪，我和 神所赐给我的孩子们。”
14 孩子们既然同有血肉之体，他自己也照样成为血肉之体，为要借着死，消灭那掌握死权的魔鬼， 15 并且要释放那些因为怕死而终身作奴仆的人。 16 其实，他并没有救援天使，只救援亚伯拉罕的后裔。 17 所以，他必须在各方面和他的弟兄们相同，为了要在 神的事上，成为仁慈忠信的大祭司，好为人民赎罪。 18 因为他自己既然经过试探，受了苦，就能够帮助那些被试探的人。

सावधान रहने को चेतावनी
2 इसलिए हमें और अधिक सावधानी के साथ, जो कुछ हमने सुना है, उस पर ध्यान देना चाहिए ताकि हम भटकने न पायें। 2 क्योंकि यदि स्वर्गदूतों द्वारा दिया गया संदेश प्रभावशाली था तथा उसके प्रत्येक उल्लंघन और अवज्ञा के लिए उचित दण्ड दिया गया तो यदि हम ऐसे महान् उद्धार की उपेक्षा कर देते हैं, 3 तो हम कैसे बच पायेंगे। इस उद्धार की पहली घोषणा प्रभु के द्वारा की गयी थी। और फिर जिन्होंने इसे सुना था, उन्होंने हमारे लिये इसकी पुष्टि की। 4 परमेश्वर ने भी चिन्हों, आश्चर्यो तथा तरह-तरह के चमत्कारपूर्ण कर्मों तथा पवित्र आत्मा के उन उपहारों द्वारा, जो उसकी इच्छा के अनुसार बाँटे गये थे, इसे प्रमाणित किया।
उद्धारकर्ता मसीह का मानव देह धारण
5 उस भावी संसार को, जिसकी हम चर्चा कर रहे हैं, उसने स्वर्गदूतों के अधीन नहीं किया 6 बल्कि शास्त्र में किसी स्थान पर किसी ने यह साक्षी दी है:
“मनुष्य क्या है,
जो तू उसकी सुध लेता है?
मानव पुत्र का क्या है
जिसके लिए तू चिंतित है?
7 तूने स्वर्गदूतों से उसे थोड़े से समय को किंचित कम किया।
उसके सिर पर महिमा और आदर का राजमुकुट रख दिया।
8 और उसके चरणों तले उसकी अधीनता मे सभी कुछ रख दिया।”(A)
सब कुछ को उसके अधीन रखते हुए परमेश्वर ने कुछ भी ऐसा नहीं छोड़ा जो उसके अधीन न हो। फिर भी आजकल हम प्रत्येक वस्तु को उसके अधीन नहीं देख रहे हैं। 9 किन्तु हम यह देखते हैं कि वह यीशु जिसको थोड़े समय के लिए स्वर्गदूतों से नीचे कर दिया गया था, अब उसे महिमा और आदर का मुकुट पहनाया गया है क्योंकि उसने मृत्यु की यातना झेली थी। जिससे परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह के कारण वह प्रत्येक के लिए मृत्यु का अनुभव करे।
10 अनेक पुत्रों को महिमा प्रदान करते हुए उस परमेश्वर के लिए जिसके द्वारा और जिसके लिए सब का अस्तित्व बना हुआ है, उसे यह शोभा देता है कि वह उनके छुटकारे के विधाता को यातनाओं के द्वारा सम्पूर्ण सिद्ध करे।
11 वे दोनों ही-वह जो मनुष्यों को पवित्र बनाता है तथा वे जो पवित्र बनाए जाते हैं, एक ही परिवार के हैं। इसलिए यीशु उन्हें भाई कहने में लज्जा नहीं करता। 12 उसने कहा:
“मैं सभा के बीच अपने बन्धुओं
में तेरे नाम का उदघोष करूँगा।
सबके सामने मैं तेरे प्रशंसा गीत गाऊँगा।”(B)
13 और फिर,
“मैं उसका विश्वास करूँगा।”(C)
और फिर वह कहता है:
“मैं यहाँ हूँ, और वे संतान जो मेरे साथ हैं। जिनको मुझे परमेश्वर ने दिया है।”(D)
14 क्योंकि संतान माँस और लहू युक्त थी इसलिए वह भी उनकी इस मनुष्यता में सहभागी हो गया ताकि अपनी मृत्यु के द्वारा वह उसे अर्थात् शैतान को नष्ट कर सके जिसके पास मारने की शक्ति है। 15 और उन व्यक्तियों को मुक्त कर ले जिनका समूचा जीवन मृत्यु के प्रति अपने भय के कारण दासता में बीता है। 16 क्योंकि यह निश्चित है कि वह स्वर्गदूतों की नहीं बल्कि इब्राहीम के वंशजों की सहायता करता है। 17 इसलिए उसे हर प्रकार से उसके भाईयों के जैसा बनाया गया ताकि वह परमेश्वर की सेवा में दयालु और विश्वसनीय महायाजक बन सके। और लोगों को उनके पापों की क्षमा दिलाने के लिए बलि दे सके। 18 क्योंकि उसने स्वयं उस समय, जब उसकी परीक्षा ली जा रही थी, यातनाएँ भोगी हैं। इसलिए जिनकी परीक्षा ली जा रही है, वह उनकी सहायता करने में समर्थ है।

Warning to Pay Attention
2 We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.(A) 2 For since the message spoken(B) through angels(C) was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment,(D) 3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation?(E) This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord,(F) was confirmed to us by those who heard him.(G) 4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles,(H) and by gifts of the Holy Spirit(I) distributed according to his will.(J)
Jesus Made Fully Human
5 It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. 6 But there is a place where someone(K) has testified:
“What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
a son of man that you care for him?(L)
7 You made them a little[a] lower than the angels;
you crowned them with glory and honor
8 and put everything under their feet.”[b][c](M)
In putting everything under them,[d] God left nothing that is not subject to them.[e] Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them.[f] 9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor(N) because he suffered death,(O) so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.(P)
10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists,(Q) should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.(R) 11 Both the one who makes people holy(S) and those who are made holy(T) are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.[g](U) 12 He says,
“I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters;
in the assembly I will sing your praises.”[h](V)
13 And again,
And again he says,
14 Since the children have flesh and blood,(Y) he too shared in their humanity(Z) so that by his death he might break the power(AA) of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil(AB)— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear(AC) of death. 16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.(AD) 17 For this reason he had to be made like them,[k](AE) fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful(AF) and faithful high priest(AG) in service to God,(AH) and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.(AI) 18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.(AJ)
