1 神在古时候，曾经多次用种种方法，借着先知向我们的祖先说话； 2 在这末后的日子，却借着他的儿子向我们说话。 神已经立他作万有的承受者，并且借着他创造了宇宙（“宇宙”或译：“诸世界”或“众世代”）。 3 他是 神荣耀的光辉，是 神本质的真象，用自己带有能力的话掌管万有；他作成了洁净罪恶的事，就坐在高天至尊者的右边。

1 पूर्व में परमेश्वर ने भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के माध्यम से हमारे पूर्वजों से अनेक समय खण्डों में विभिन्न प्रकार से बातें कीं 2 किन्तु अब इस अन्तिम समय में उन्होंने हमसे अपने पुत्र के द्वारा बातें की हैं, जिन्हें परमेश्वर ने सारी सृष्टि का वारिस चुना और जिनके द्वारा उन्होंने युगों की सृष्टि की. 3 पुत्र ही परमेश्वर की महिमा का प्रकाश तथा उनके तत्व का प्रतिबिंब है. वह अपने सामर्थ्य के वचन से सारी सृष्टि को स्थिर बनाये रखता है. जब वह हमें हमारे पापों से धो चुके, वह महिमामय ऊँचे पर विराजमान परमेश्वर की दायीं ओर में बैठ गए.
