舊約敬拜的禮儀
9 舊約有敬拜的禮儀和地上的聖幕。 2 建成後的聖幕共分兩間，外面的一間稱為聖所，擺設了燈臺、桌子和聖餅。 3 在第二道幔子後面的那一間叫至聖所， 4 裡面有純金的香壇和包金的約櫃。約櫃裡珍藏著盛嗎哪的金罐、亞倫那根發過芽的手杖和兩塊刻著十誡的石版， 5 上面有榮耀的基路伯天使，高展翅膀蓋著約櫃上面的施恩座。關於這些事，現在不能一一細說。
6 這些東西都齊備了，祭司們便經常進入聖所，舉行敬拜。 7 可是，只有大祭司有資格每年一次獨自進入至聖所，而且每次都要端著血進去，為自己和以色列人的過犯獻上。 8 聖靈藉此指明，只要頭一個聖幕還在，進入至聖所的路就還沒有開啟。 9 這件事是一個象徵，告訴現今的世代：所獻的禮物和祭物都不能使敬拜的人良心純全， 10 因為這些不過是關於飲食和各樣潔淨禮儀的外在規條，等新秩序的時代一到，便不再有效了。
美好新約
11 現在基督已經來到，作了美好新約的大祭司，祂進入了那更偉大、更全備、非人手建造、不屬於這個世界的聖幕。 12 祂只進入至聖所一次便完成了永遠的救贖，用的不是山羊和牛犢的血，而是自己的血。 13 如果把山羊血、公牛血和母牛犢的灰灑在污穢的人[a]身上，就可以使他們聖潔，身體得到潔淨， 14 更何況基督藉著永恆的靈把自己毫無瑕疵地獻給上帝呢？祂的血豈不更能洗淨我們的良心，使我們脫離導致滅亡的行為，以便事奉永活的上帝嗎？
15 因此，祂是新約的中保，藉著死亡救贖了觸犯舊約的人，好叫那些蒙召的人得到所應許的永恆基業。
16 凡是遺囑[b]，必須等到立遺囑的人死了以後才能生效。 17 如果立遺囑的人依然健在，遺囑就不能生效。 18 正因如此，連立舊約也需要用血才能生效。 19 摩西依照律法向猶太人頒佈所有誡命之後，便用紅色的羊毛和牛膝草蘸了牛犢和山羊的血以及水，灑在律法書和百姓身上， 20 說：「這是上帝用來與你們立約的血。」 21 他又照樣把血灑在聖幕和所有用來獻祭的器具上。 22 根據律法，幾乎所有的器具都要用血來潔淨，因為若不流血，罪就得不到赦免。
23 既然仿照天上的樣式所造的器具需要用祭牲的血來潔淨，天上的原物當然要用更美的祭物來潔淨。 24 因為基督並非進入了人手所造的聖所，那只是真聖所的縮影，祂是進入了天堂，替我們來到上帝面前。 25 祂在天上不必一次又一次地把自己獻上，好像那些大祭司年年都帶著牛羊的血進入至聖所。 26 否則，自創世以來，祂不知道要受難多少次了。但如今在這世代的末期，祂只一次獻上自己，便除去了人的罪。 27 按著定命，人人都有一死，死後還有審判。 28 同樣，基督為了承擔世人的罪，也曾一次獻上自己。祂還要再來，不是來除罪，而是來拯救那些熱切等候祂的人。

9 ¶ Tenía sin embargo el primero sus justificaciones del culto, y su santuario mundano.
2 Porque un Tabernáculo fue hecho: el primero, en que estaba el candelero, y la mesa, y los panes de la proposición, lo que llaman el santuario.
3 Tras el segundo velo estaba el Tabernáculo, que llaman el Lugar Santísimo;
4 que tenía un incensario de oro, y el Arca del Pacto cubierta por todas partes de oro; en donde estaba una urna de oro que contenía el maná, y la vara de Aarón que reverdeció, y las Tablas del Testamento.
5 Y sobre ella los querubines de la gloria que ponían su sombra sobre el asiento de la reconciliación, cosas de las cuales no se puede ahora hablar en detalle.
6 Y con estas cosas así ordenadas, en el primer Tabernáculo siempre entraban los sacerdotes para hacer los oficios de los sacrificios.
7 Mas en el segundo, sólo el sumo sacerdote entraba una vez en el año, no sin sangre, la cual ofrece por su propia ignorancia y la del pueblo.
8 ¶ Dando en esto a entender el Espíritu Santo, que aún no estaba descubierto camino para el Santuario, entre tanto que el primer Tabernáculo estuviera en pie.
9 Lo cual era figura de aquel tiempo presente, en el cual se ofrecían presentes y sacrificios que no podían hacer perfecto al que servía con ellos, en cuanto a la conciencia,
10 sino en viandas y en bebidas, y en diversos lavamientos, y ordenanzas de la carne impuestas hasta el tiempo de la corrección.
11 Mas Cristo ya estando presente, Sumo Sacerdote de los bienes que habían de venir, por otro más amplio y más perfecto tabernáculo, no hecho de manos, es a decir, no de esta creación,
12 y no por sangre de machos cabríos ni de becerros, sino por su propia sangre entró una sola vez en el Santuario diseñado para eterna redención.
13 Porque si la sangre de los toros y de los machos cabríos, y la ceniza esparcida de una becerra, santifica a los inmundos para purificación de la carne,
14 ¿cuánto más la sangre del Cristo, el cual por el Espíritu eterno se ofreció a sí mismo sin mancha a Dios, limpiará vuestras conciencias de las obras de muerte para que sirváis al Dios viviente?
15 ¶ Así que, por eso es Mediador del Nuevo Testamento, para que interviniendo muerte para la remisión de las rebeliones que había debajo del primer Testamento, los que son llamados reciban la promesa de la herencia eterna.
16 Porque donde hay testamento, necesario es que intervenga la muerte del testador.
17 Porque el testamento con la muerte es confirmado; de otra manera no es válido entre tanto que el testador vive.
18 De donde vino que ni aun el primero fue consagrado sin sangre.
19 Porque habiendo leído Moisés todos los mandamientos de la Ley a todo el pueblo, tomando la sangre de los becerros y de los machos cabríos con agua, y lana de grana, e hisopo, roció a todo el pueblo, y juntamente al mismo libro,
20 diciendo: Esta es la sangre del Testamento que Dios os ha mandado.
21 Y además de esto roció también con la sangre el Tabernáculo y todos los vasos del ministerio.
22 Y casi todo es purificado según la ley con sangre; y sin derramamiento de sangre no se hace remisión.
23 ¶ Así que fue necesario que las figuras de las cosas celestiales fueran purificadas con estas cosas; pero las mismas cosas celestiales, con mejores sacrificios que éstos.
24 Por lo cual no entró Jesús en el santuario hecho de mano, (que es figura del verdadero,) sino en el mismo cielo para presentarse ahora por nosotros en la presencia de Dios.
25 Y no para ofrecerse muchas veces a sí mismo, (como entra el sumo sacerdote en el santuario una vez cada año con la sangre ajena.)
26 De otra manera sería necesario que hubiera padecido muchas veces desde el principio del mundo; mas ahora UNA VEZ en la consumación de los siglos, para deshacer el pecado se presentó por el sacrificio de sí mismo.
27 Y de la manera que está establecido a los hombres, que mueran una vez; y después, el juicio,
28 así también el Cristo es ofrecido una vez para agotar los pecados de muchos; la segunda vez se manifestará para salud a los que sin pecado lo esperan.

The Old and the New
9 Now even the first covenant had (A)regulations for divine worship and (B)the earthly sanctuary. 2 For (C)a [a]tabernacle was equipped, the [b]outer sanctuary, in which were (D)the lampstand, (E)the table, and (F)the [c]sacred bread; this is called the Holy Place. 3 Behind (G)the second veil there was a [d]tabernacle which is called the (H)Most Holy Place, 4 having a golden [e](I)altar of incense and (J)the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was (K)a golden jar holding the manna, (L)Aaron’s staff which budded, and (M)the tablets of the covenant; 5 and above it were the (N)cherubim of glory (O)overshadowing the [f]atoning cover; but about these things we cannot now speak in detail.
6 Now when these things have been so prepared, the priests (P)are continually entering the [g]outer [h]tabernacle, performing the divine worship, 7 but into (Q)the second, only (R)the high priest enters (S)once a year, (T)not without taking blood which he (U)offers for himself and for the [i](V)sins of the people committed in ignorance. 8 (W)The Holy Spirit is signifying this, (X)that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed while the [j]outer tabernacle is still standing, 9 which is a symbol for the present time. Accordingly (Y)both gifts and sacrifices are offered which (Z)cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience, 10 since they relate only to (AA)food, (AB)drink, and various (AC)washings, (AD)regulations for the [k]body imposed until (AE)a time of reformation.
11 But when Christ appeared as a (AF)high priest of the (AG)good things [l]having come, He entered through (AH)the greater and more perfect [m]tabernacle, (AI)not made by hands, that is, (AJ)not of this creation; 12 and not through (AK)the blood of goats and calves, but (AL)through His own blood, He (AM)entered the holy place (AN)once for all time, [n]having obtained (AO)eternal redemption. 13 For if (AP)the blood of goats and bulls, and (AQ)the [o]ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify for the [p]cleansing of the flesh, 14 how much more will (AR)the blood of Christ, who through [q](AS)the eternal Spirit (AT)offered Himself without blemish to God, (AU)cleanse your conscience from (AV)dead works to serve (AW)the living God?
15 For this reason (AX)He is the (AY)mediator of a (AZ)new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the violations that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been (BA)called may (BB)receive the promise of (BC)the eternal inheritance. 16 For where there is a [r]covenant, there must of necessity [s]be the death of the one who made it. 17 For a [t]covenant is valid only when people are dead, [u]for it is never in force while the one who made it lives. 18 Therefore even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood. 19 For when every commandment had been (BD)spoken by Moses to all the people according to the Law, (BE)he took the (BF)blood of the calves and the goats, with (BG)water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both (BH)the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “(BI)This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded you.” 21 And in the same way he (BJ)sprinkled both the [v]tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry with the blood. 22 And (BK)almost all things are cleansed with blood, according to the Law, and (BL)without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
23 Therefore it was necessary for the (BM)copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these things, but (BN)the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ (BO)did not enter a holy place made by hands, a mere copy of (BP)the true one, but into (BQ)heaven itself, now (BR)to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 nor was it that He would offer Himself often, as (BS)the high priest enters (BT)the Holy Place (BU)year by year with blood that is not his own. 26 Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since (BV)the foundation of the world; but now (BW)once at (BX)the consummation of the ages He has been (BY)revealed to put away sin [w](BZ)by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And just as (CA)it is destined for people to die once, and after this (CB)comes judgment, 28 so Christ also, having been (CC)offered once to (CD)bear the sins of many, will appear (CE)a second time for (CF)salvation (CG)without reference to sin, to those who (CH)eagerly await Him.
