7 所以過了多年，就在大衛的書上又限定一日，如以上所引的說：「你們今日若聽他的話，就不可硬著心。」 8 若是約書亞已叫他們享了安息，後來神就不再提別的日子了。 9 這樣看來，必另有一安息日的安息為神的子民存留。

7 因此上帝又设定某一天为“今天”。很多年以后，上帝通过大卫谈论到这天，也就是我们在上文中所引用的那段：
“今天，如果你们听到了上帝的声音，
不要像过去一样固执。” (A)
8 因为，假如约书亚 [a]已经带领人们得到了上帝许诺的安宁，那么，上帝后来就不会再说到另一个日子了。 9 所以，第七天依旧是上帝子民的安息日。

7 God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted:
8 For if Joshua had given them rest,(B) God would not have spoken(C) later about another day. 9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;
