2 因為的確有福音傳給我們像傳給他們一樣；只是所聽見的道對他們無益，因為他們沒有以信心與所聽見的道配合。 3 但我們已經信的人進入安息，正如 神所說：
「我在怒中起誓：
他們斷不可進入我的安息！」
其實造物之工，從創世以來已經完成了。 4 論到第七日，有一處說：「到第七日， 神就歇了他一切工作。」

2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
