希伯來書 4:1-3

竭力進入安息

4 所以，既然那進入神[a]安息的應許還存留，我們就該懼怕，免得我們[b]當中有人看來達不到了。 2 實際上，我們也是得以聽到福音的，就像他們那樣；但是他們所聽的話語對他們沒有益處，因為他們沒有因著信，與所聽的相配合。 3 其實，我們這些相信的才能進入那安息，正如神所說：

「所以我在自己的震怒中起誓：
『他們絕不能進入我的安息。』」[c]

事實上，神的工作從創世以來，就已經完成了。

A Sabbath-Rest for the People of God

4 Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.(A) 2 For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.[a](B) 3 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said,

“So I declared on oath in my anger,
    ‘They shall never enter my rest.’”[b](C)

And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world.
