不可忽視救恩
2 因此，我們必須更加留心所聽過的事，免得隨流漂去。 2 要知道，那藉著天使所說的話既然是確定的，連一切過犯和悖逆都受到了應得的報應， 3 那麼，如果我們忽視了如此偉大的救恩，又怎麼能逃脫報應呢？這救恩起初由主傳講，後來由那些聽見的人向我們證實。 4 神又照著自己的旨意，用神蹟、奇事和各種大能，以及聖靈的各種恩賜，與他們一同見證。
耶穌與謙卑
5 事實上，我們所說的那「將要來的世界」，神並沒有使它服從天使， 6 但是有人在經上[a]某處鄭重地見證說：
既然神使萬有都服從他，就沒有留下一樣不服從他；但如今，我們還沒有看見萬有都服從他。 9 不過我們看見的是：那暫時比天使低微的耶穌，因著死亡的痛苦被賜予榮耀和尊貴為冠冕，好使他藉著神的恩典，替所有的人嘗了死的滋味。
10 萬有因他而有、萬有藉他而成的那一位，既然要帶領許多兒女歸於榮耀，就藉著苦難使他們救恩的元首[e]得以成全，這是合宜的， 11 因為那使人分別為聖的，和那些被分別為聖的，都是出於同一位。因這理由，他稱他們為弟兄，並不以為恥。 12 他說：
「我要向我的弟兄們宣揚你的名，
我要在會眾面前歌頌你。」[f]
13 他又說：「我要依靠他。」[g]還說：「看哪，我和神所賜給我的孩子們都在這裡[h]！」[i]
14 所以，孩子們既然同屬血肉之體，他也照樣同有一樣的血肉之體，為要藉著死亡來廢除那掌握死亡權勢的——就是魔鬼， 15 並且釋放那些因怕死而終生被束縛為奴役的人。 16 顯然，他並不是要救拔天使，而是救拔亞伯拉罕的後裔。 17 故此，他必須在各方面都像他的弟兄們那樣，為要在屬神的事上成為憐憫人的、忠心[j]的大祭司，好為子民的罪孽獻上平息祭[k]。 18 既然他自己在被試探的時候受了苦，他就能幫助那些受試探的人。

Warning to Pay Attention
2 We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.(A) 2 For since the message spoken(B) through angels(C) was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment,(D) 3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation?(E) This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord,(F) was confirmed to us by those who heard him.(G) 4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles,(H) and by gifts of the Holy Spirit(I) distributed according to his will.(J)
Jesus Made Fully Human
5 It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. 6 But there is a place where someone(K) has testified:
“What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
a son of man that you care for him?(L)
7 You made them a little[a] lower than the angels;
you crowned them with glory and honor
8 and put everything under their feet.”[b][c](M)
In putting everything under them,[d] God left nothing that is not subject to them.[e] Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them.[f] 9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor(N) because he suffered death,(O) so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.(P)
10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists,(Q) should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.(R) 11 Both the one who makes people holy(S) and those who are made holy(T) are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.[g](U) 12 He says,
“I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters;
in the assembly I will sing your praises.”[h](V)
13 And again,
And again he says,
14 Since the children have flesh and blood,(Y) he too shared in their humanity(Z) so that by his death he might break the power(AA) of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil(AB)— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear(AC) of death. 16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.(AD) 17 For this reason he had to be made like them,[k](AE) fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful(AF) and faithful high priest(AG) in service to God,(AH) and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.(AI) 18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.(AJ)

Una salvación tan grande
2 Por tanto, es necesario que con más diligencia atendamos a las cosas que hemos oído, no sea que nos deslicemos. 2 Porque si la palabra dicha por medio de los ángeles fue firme, y toda transgresión y desobediencia recibió justa retribución, 3 ¿cómo escaparemos nosotros, si descuidamos una salvación tan grande? La cual, habiendo sido anunciada primeramente por el Señor, nos fue confirmada por los que oyeron, 4 testificando Dios juntamente con ellos, con señales y prodigios y diversos milagros y repartimientos del Espíritu Santo según su voluntad.

5 Porque no sujetó a los ángeles el mundo venidero, acerca del cual estamos hablando; 6 pero alguien testificó en cierto lugar, diciendo:
¿Qué es el hombre, para que te acuerdes de él,
O el hijo del hombre, para que le visites?
7 Le hiciste un poco menor que los ángeles,
Le coronaste de gloria y de honra,
Y le pusiste sobre las obras de tus manos;
8 Todo lo sujetaste bajo sus pies.(A)
Porque en cuanto le sujetó todas las cosas, nada dejó que no sea sujeto a él; pero todavía no vemos que todas las cosas le sean sujetas. 9 Pero vemos a aquel que fue hecho un poco menor que los ángeles, a Jesús, coronado de gloria y de honra, a causa del padecimiento de la muerte, para que por la gracia de Dios gustase la muerte por todos.
10 Porque convenía a aquel por cuya causa son todas las cosas, y por quien todas las cosas subsisten, que habiendo de llevar muchos hijos a la gloria, perfeccionase por aflicciones al autor de la salvación de ellos. 11 Porque el que santifica y los que son santificados, de uno son todos; por lo cual no se avergüenza de llamarlos hermanos, 12 diciendo:
Anunciaré a mis hermanos tu nombre,
En medio de la congregación te alabaré.(B)
13 Y otra vez:
Yo confiaré en él.(C)
Y de nuevo:
He aquí, yo y los hijos que Dios me dio.(D)
14 Así que, por cuanto los hijos participaron de carne y sangre, él también participó de lo mismo, para destruir por medio de la muerte al que tenía el imperio de la muerte, esto es, al diablo, 15 y librar a todos los que por el temor de la muerte estaban durante toda la vida sujetos a servidumbre. 16 Porque ciertamente no socorrió a los ángeles, sino que socorrió a la descendencia de Abraham. 17 Por lo cual debía ser en todo semejante a sus hermanos, para venir a ser misericordioso y fiel sumo sacerdote en lo que a Dios se refiere, para expiar los pecados del pueblo. 18 Pues en cuanto él mismo padeció siendo tentado, es poderoso para socorrer a los que son tentados.
