7 基甸說：「好吧！耶和華將西巴和撒慕拿交在我手之後，我必用曠野的荊棘和枳條鞭打你們。」 8 基甸從那裏上到毗努伊勒，對那裏的人也提出同樣的請求；毗努伊勒人給他的答覆跟疏割人的答覆一樣。 9 他也對毗努伊勒人說：「我平平安安回來的時候，必拆毀這城樓。」

7 Then Gideon replied, “Just for that, when the Lord has given Zebah and Zalmunna(A) into my hand, I will tear your flesh with desert thorns and briers.”
8 From there he went up to Peniel[a](B) and made the same request of them, but they answered as the men of Sukkoth had. 9 So he said to the men of Peniel, “When I return in triumph, I will tear down this tower.”(C)
