⁸耶和华就差遣先知对他们说：“以色列的上帝耶和华说，‘我曾把你们从受奴役之地——埃及领出来， ⁹将你们从埃及人及一切欺压者的手中拯救出来，为你们赶走敌人，把他们的土地赐给你们。’ ¹⁰我曾对你们说，‘我是你们的上帝耶和华。你们虽然住在亚摩利人的地方，但不可祭拜他们的神明。’你们却充耳不闻。”

⁸he sent them a prophet,^(A) who said, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I brought you up out of Egypt,^(B) out of the land of slavery.^(C) ⁹I rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians. And I delivered you from the hand of all your oppressors;^(D) I drove them out before you and gave you their land.^(E) ¹⁰I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your God; do not worship^(F) the gods of the Amorites,^(G) in whose land you live.’ But you have not listened to me.”
