⁸耶和華就差遣先知對他們說：「以色列的上帝耶和華說，『我曾把你們從受奴役之地——埃及領出來， ⁹將你們從埃及人及一切欺壓者的手中拯救出來，為你們趕走敵人，把他們的土地賜給你們。』 ¹⁰我曾對你們說，『我是你們的上帝耶和華。你們雖然住在亞摩利人的地方，但不可祭拜他們的神明。』你們卻充耳不聞。」

⁸he sent them a prophet,^(A) who said, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I brought you up out of Egypt,^(B) out of the land of slavery.^(C) ⁹I rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians. And I delivered you from the hand of all your oppressors;^(D) I drove them out before you and gave you their land.^(E) ¹⁰I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your God; do not worship^(F) the gods of the Amorites,^(G) in whose land you live.’ But you have not listened to me.”
