8 耶和華就差遣先知對他們說：「以色列的上帝耶和華說，『我曾把你們從受奴役之地——埃及領出來， 9 將你們從埃及人及一切欺壓者的手中拯救出來，為你們趕走敵人，把他們的土地賜給你們。』 10 我曾對你們說，『我是你們的上帝耶和華。你們雖然住在亞摩利人的地方，但不可祭拜他們的神明。』你們卻充耳不聞。」

8 That the Lord sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;
9 And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;
10 And I said unto you, I am the Lord your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.
