6 于是，二人坐下来一起吃喝。岳父对他说：“再住一夜，高兴高兴吧。” 7 他不肯答应，起来要走，但岳父一再挽留，他就又住了一夜。 8 第五天清早起来，他准备回家，岳父对他说：“吃点东西，太阳偏西再走吧。”于是，二人一同吃饭。

New International Version
6 So the two of them sat down to eat and drink together. Afterward the woman’s father said, “Please stay tonight and enjoy yourself.(A)” 7 And when the man got up to go, his father-in-law persuaded him, so he stayed there that night. 8 On the morning of the fifth day, when he rose to go, the woman’s father said, “Refresh yourself. Wait till afternoon!” So the two of them ate together.
