6 (A)In those days there was no king in Israel; (B)everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
7 Now there was a young man from (C)Bethlehem in Judah, of the family of Judah; he was a Levite, and (D)was staying there. 8 The man departed from the city of Bethlehem in Judah to stay wherever he could find a place. Then he came to the mountains of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, as he journeyed.

The Voice
6 In those days of the judges, there was no king in Israel, and everyone did what seemed right in his own eyes.
7 Now in Bethlehem in Judah, there was a young man who was a Levite, from the tribe of priests, and he was sojourning among the clan of Judah. 8 He left Bethlehem in Judah to make his way as best he could. On his way, he arrived at Micah’s home in the hill country of Ephraim seeking work.
