10 亚比米勒以后，有以萨迦人朵多的孙子、普瓦的儿子陀拉兴起，拯救以色列人。他住在以法莲山地的沙密。 2 陀拉做以色列的士师二十三年，就死了，葬在沙密。
睚珥做士师
3 在他以后有基列人睚珥兴起，做以色列的士师二十二年。 4 他有三十个儿子，骑着三十匹驴驹。他们有三十座城邑，叫做哈倭特睚珥，直到如今，都是在基列地。 5 睚珥死了，就葬在加们。
以色列人违逆耶和华
6 以色列人又行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，去侍奉诸巴力和亚斯她录，并亚兰的神、西顿的神、摩押的神、亚扪人的神、非利士人的神，离弃耶和华，不侍奉他。 7 耶和华的怒气向以色列人发作，就把他们交在非利士人和亚扪人的手中。 8 从那年起，他们扰害欺压约旦河那边住亚摩利人之基列地的以色列人，共有十八年。 9 亚扪人又渡过约旦河去攻打犹大和便雅悯并以法莲族，以色列人就甚觉窘迫。
10 以色列人哀求耶和华说：“我们得罪了你！因为离弃了我们神，去侍奉诸巴力。” 11 耶和华对以色列人说：“我岂没有救过你们脱离埃及人、亚摩利人、亚扪人和非利士人吗？ 12 西顿人、亚玛力人、马云人也都欺压你们，你们哀求我，我也拯救你们脱离他们的手。 13 你们竟离弃我，侍奉别神，所以我不再救你们了。 14 你们去哀求所选择的神！你们遭遇急难的时候，让他救你们吧！” 15 以色列人对耶和华说：“我们犯罪了，任凭你随意待我们吧，只求你今日拯救我们！” 16 以色列人就除掉他们中间的外邦神，侍奉耶和华。耶和华因以色列人受的苦难，就心中担忧。
17 当时亚扪人聚集，安营在基列。以色列人也聚集，安营在米斯巴。 18 基列的民和众首领彼此商议说：“谁能先去攻打亚扪人，谁必做基列一切居民的领袖。”

10 亞比米勒死後，以薩迦人陀拉拯救了以色列人。他住在以法蓮山區的沙密，祖父是朵多，父親是普瓦。 2 陀拉做士師二十三年，死後葬在沙密。
3 之後，基列人雅珥做士師二十二年。 4 他有三十個兒子，每人騎一頭驢。他們在基列擁有三十座城，那些城到現在還叫「雅珥之城」。 5 雅珥死後，葬在加們。
以色列人因犯罪而受罰
6 後來，以色列人又做耶和華視為惡的事，祭拜巴力和亞斯她錄，又拜亞蘭、西頓、摩押、亞捫和非利士的神明。他們背棄耶和華，不再事奉祂。 7 耶和華向他們發怒，把他們交在非利士人和亞捫人手中。 8 那年，非利士人和亞捫人擊垮了以色列人，壓迫基列地區、約旦河東亞摩利境內的以色列人達十八年。 9 亞捫人還渡過約旦河攻擊猶大、便雅憫和以法蓮支派，使以色列人苦不堪言。 10 於是，他們呼求耶和華說：「我們背棄我們的上帝去祭拜巴力，我們得罪了你。」 11 耶和華對他們說：「你們受埃及人、亞摩利人、亞捫人、非利士人、 12 西頓人、亞瑪力人和馬雲人的壓迫，就呼求我，我豈沒有拯救你們嗎？ 13 但你們竟背棄我，去事奉別的神明，所以我不再救你們。 14 你們去呼求自己選擇的神明吧！你們有難，讓他們救你們吧！」 15 他們對耶和華說：「我們犯了罪，任你處置我們，只求你今天拯救我們。」 16 以色列人除掉了他們的外邦神像，轉而事奉耶和華。耶和華不忍再看以色列人受苦。
17 當時，亞捫人整裝備戰，在基列安營；以色列人也集合起來，在米斯巴安營。 18 基列的首領們彼此商議說：「誰先攻打亞捫人，誰就做所有基列人的首領。」

10 And after Abimelech there arose to defend Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in mount Ephraim.
2 And he judged Israel twenty and three years, and died, and was buried in Shamir.
3 And after him arose Jair, a Gileadite, and judged Israel twenty and two years.
4 And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havothjair unto this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
5 And Jair died, and was buried in Camon.
6 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the Lord, and served not him.
7 And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
8 And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
9 Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed.
10 And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.
11 And the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
12 The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.
13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.
14 Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
15 And the children of Israel said unto the Lord, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.
16 And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the Lord: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
17 Then the children of Ammon were gathered together, and encamped in Gilead. And the children of Israel assembled themselves together, and encamped in Mizpeh.
18 And the people and princes of Gilead said one to another, What man is he that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
