5 實際上，我們不是傳揚自己，而是傳揚主耶穌基督[a]，並且為了耶穌的緣故，我們自己做了你們的奴僕； 6 因為那吩咐「要有光從黑暗裡照耀出來」的神，已經照耀了我們的心，為要發出神榮耀的知識之光——這光就在耶穌基督的臉上。

7 不過我們有這寶物在瓦器裡，為要顯明這極大的能力是出於神，不是出於我們。

5 For what we preach is not ourselves,(A) but Jesus Christ as Lord,(B) and ourselves as your servants(C) for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”[a](D) made his light shine in our hearts(E) to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.(F)
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay(G) to show that this all-surpassing power is from God(H) and not from us.
