瓦罐里的属灵的宝藏

4 上帝的仁慈赐给了我们这项工作，所以，不要放弃。 2 我们已离弃了羞于告人的丑事。我们不行诡计，也不篡改上帝的教导而是坦率地教授真理，我们在上帝面前把自己推荐给每一个人的良心。 3 如果我们所传的福音被蒙上面纱，它仅仅是在那些走向毁灭人的中间如此。 4 今世的统治者 [a]（撒旦）蒙蔽了这些不信的人的心灵，使他们看不到基督荣耀福音的光芒。而基督却是上帝的形象。 5 因为我们传播的不是我们自己，而是基督耶稣是主；为了耶稣，我们成了你们的仆人。 6 那说过∶“光从黑暗处照出来”的上帝在我们心中放出他的光芒，赐给我们认识上帝荣耀的光明，这种荣耀就在基督耶稣的脸庞上。

7 我们有这个宝藏，但是我们只不过就像装宝物的瓦罐。这就表明这个不寻常的大能来自上帝，而非来自我们。 8 我们困难重重，但没有被打败。我们困惑迷惘，但没有绝望； 9 我们遭受迫害，但没被抛弃；我们被打倒，但没有被消灭。 10 我们总是身负耶稣的死，以便使耶稣的生命也可以清晰地显示在我们的身体里。 11 我们这些活着的人，为了耶稣的缘故，总是处在死亡的危险之中，为的是让他的生命能清楚地显示在我们必死的身体里。 12 死亡在我们之中运行，但是生命却在你们之中运行。

13 《经》 [b]上说∶“我信，所以我说了。” [c]我们的信仰也是如此，我们相信，我们才说。 14 因为我们知道，让主耶稣复活的上帝，也会让我们与耶稣一起复活，并让我们与你们一起站在他的面前。 15 这一切都是为了你们，以便让上帝的恩典赐给越来越多的人，并给上帝的荣耀带来越来越多的感恩。

要凭信仰生活

16 因此，我们不能绝望，即使我们的肉体在衰败，我们的内心却每天在更新。 17 暂时的小挫折给我们带来永恒的荣耀，它远远超过了挫折本身。 18 我们不注重看得见的东西，而是注重看不见的东西。因为看得见的东西是暂时的，看不见的东西才是永恒的。

Paul Is Never Discouraged

4 We don’t become discouraged, since God has given us this ministry through his mercy. 2 Instead, we have refused to use secret and shameful ways. We don’t use tricks, and we don’t distort God’s word. As God watches, we clearly reveal the truth to everyone. This is our ⌞letter of⌟ recommendation.

3 So if the Good News that we tell others is covered with a veil, it is hidden from those who are dying. 4 The god of this world has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. As a result, they don’t see the light of the Good News about Christ’s glory. It is Christ who is God’s image.

5 Our message is not about ourselves. It is about Jesus Christ as the Lord. We are your servants for his sake. 6 We are his servants because the same God who said that light should shine out of darkness has given us light. For that reason we bring to light the knowledge about God’s glory which shines from Christ’s face.

7 Our bodies are made of clay, yet we have the treasure of the Good News in them. This shows that the superior power of this treasure belongs to God and doesn’t come from us. 8 In every way we’re troubled, but we aren’t crushed by our troubles. We’re frustrated, but we don’t give up. 9 We’re persecuted, but we’re not abandoned. We’re captured, but we’re not killed. 10 We always carry around the death of Jesus in our bodies so that the life of Jesus is also shown in our bodies. 11 While we are alive, we are constantly handed over to death for Jesus’ sake so that the life of Jesus is also shown in our mortal nature. 12 Death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

13 The following is written, “I believed; therefore, I spoke.” We have that same spirit of faith. We also believe; therefore, we also speak. 14 We know that the one who brought the Lord Jesus back to life will also bring us back to life through Jesus. He will present us to God together with you.

15 All this is for your sake so that, as God’s kindness [a] overflows in the lives of many people, it will produce even more thanksgiving to the glory of God. 16 That is why we are not discouraged. Though outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly we are renewed day by day. 17 Our suffering is light and temporary and is producing for us an eternal glory that is greater than anything we can imagine. 18 We don’t look for things that can be seen but for things that can’t be seen. Things that can be seen are only temporary. But things that can’t be seen last forever.

4 Por esto, ya que por la misericordia de Dios tenemos este ministerio, no nos desanimamos. 2 Más bien, hemos renunciado a todo lo vergonzoso que se hace a escondidas; no actuamos con engaño ni torcemos la palabra de Dios. Al contrario, mediante la clara exposición de la verdad, nos recomendamos a toda conciencia humana en la presencia de Dios. 3 Pero, si nuestro evangelio está encubierto, lo está para los que se pierden. 4 El dios de este mundo ha cegado la mente de estos incrédulos, para que no vean la luz del glorioso evangelio de Cristo, el cual es la imagen de Dios. 5 No nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Jesucristo como Señor; nosotros no somos más que servidores vuestros por causa de Jesús. 6 Porque Dios, que ordenó que la luz resplandeciera en las tinieblas,[a] hizo brillar su luz en nuestro corazón para que conociéramos la gloria de Dios que resplandece en el rostro de Cristo.

7 Pero tenemos este tesoro en vasijas de barro para que se vea que tan sublime poder viene de Dios y no de nosotros. 8 Nos vemos atribulados en todo, pero no abatidos; perplejos, pero no desesperados; 9 perseguidos, pero no abandonados; derribados, pero no destruidos. 10 Dondequiera que vamos, siempre llevamos en nuestro cuerpo la muerte de Jesús, para que también su vida se manifieste en nuestro cuerpo. 11 Pues a nosotros, los que vivimos, siempre se nos entrega a la muerte por causa de Jesús, para que también su vida se manifieste en nuestro cuerpo[b] mortal. 12 Así que la muerte actúa en nosotros, y en vosotros, la vida.

13 Escrito está: «Creí, y por eso hablé».[c] Con ese mismo espíritu de fe también nosotros creemos, y por eso hablamos. 14 Pues sabemos que aquel que resucitó al Señor Jesús nos resucitará también a nosotros con él y nos llevará junto con vosotros a su presencia. 15 Todo esto es por vuestro bien, para que la gracia que está alcanzando a más y más personas haga abundar la acción de gracias para la gloria de Dios.

16 Por tanto, no nos desanimamos. Al contrario, aunque por fuera nos vamos desgastando, por dentro nos vamos renovando día tras día. 17 Pues los sufrimientos ligeros y efímeros que ahora padecemos producen una gloria eterna que vale muchísimo más que todo sufrimiento. 18 Así que no nos fijamos en lo visible, sino en lo invisible, ya que lo que se ve es pasajero, mientras que lo que no se ve es eterno.
