1 奉 神旨意作基督耶稣使徒的保罗，和提摩太弟兄，写信给在哥林多 神的教会，和全亚该亚所有的圣徒。 2 愿恩惠平安从我们的父 神和主耶稣基督临到你们。
患难中 神赐安慰
3 我们主耶稣基督的父 神是应当称颂的。他是满有怜悯的父，赐各样安慰的 神。 4 我们在一切患难中， 神都安慰我们，使我们能用他所赐的安慰，去安慰那些在各样患难中的人。 5 我们既然多受基督所受的痛苦，就靠着基督多得安慰。 6 如果我们遭遇患难，那是要使你们得着安慰，得着拯救；如果我们得到安慰，也是要使你们得到安慰。这安慰使你们能够忍受我们所受那样的痛苦。 7 我们对你们的盼望是坚定的，因为知道你们既然一同受痛苦，也必照样同得安慰。
8 弟兄们，我们在亚西亚遭受的患难，我们很想让你们知道。那时我们受到了过于我们所能忍受的压力，甚至活下去的希望都没有了， 9 而且断定自己是必死的了；然而，这正是要我们不倚靠自己，只倚靠那叫死人复活的 神。 10 他救我们脱离了那极大的死亡，而且他还要救我们，我们希望他将来仍要救我们。 11 请你们一同用祷告支持我们，好使许多人为着我们所蒙的恩献上感谢。这恩是借着许多人的代求而得到的。

15 我既然有这样的信念，就打算先到你们那里，使你们再一次得到恩惠， 16 然后经过你们那里，往马其顿去，再从马其顿回到你们中间，让你们给我送行往犹太去。 17 我这样决定，难道是反复不定吗？我所决定的，难道是体贴肉体而定，使我忽是忽非吗？ 18 神是信实的，我们向你们所传的道并不是“是”而又“非”的， 19 因为我、西拉和提摩太，在你们中间所宣扬的耶稣基督， 神的儿子，并不是“是”而又“非”的，在他总是“是”的。 20 因为 神的一切应许，在基督里都是“是”的，为此我们借着他说“阿们”，使荣耀归于 神。 21 那在基督里坚定我们和你们，又膏抹我们的，就是 神。 22 他在我们身上盖了印，就是赐圣灵在我们心里作凭据。

3 感谢上帝，赞美上帝、我们的主耶稣基督之父。上帝是仁慈的父，也是一切慰籍的源泉。 4 每当我们遇到困难时，上帝都会给我们带来慰籍，使我们能够用他赐给我们的慰籍去安慰其他遇难的人们。 5 我们分担了基督的许多苦难，同样，通过基督我们也得到了很大的安慰。 6 如果我们有烦恼，那是为了使你们得到安慰和拯救，如果我们得到安慰，那是为了你们的安慰。这将帮助你们去耐心地忍受我们所遭受的苦难。 7 我们对你们的希望是坚定不移的。因为我们知道，正像你们分担了我们的痛苦一样，你们也会分享我们的慰籍。

保罗改变计划
12 这是我们为之而骄傲的，我们的良心作证：我们在世为人，是怀着上帝所赐的一颗朴实、真诚的心，凭上帝的恩典，而非凭世上的种种聪明，对待你们更是如此。 13 我们给你们写的只限于你们能读懂的。我相信你们将会完全彻底地理解我们， 14 就像你们已经部分地理解了我们一样。你们也能为我们感到骄傲，就如在主耶稣再降临的日子里，我们为你们感到骄傲一样。
15 我对此充满了信心，所以我决定先来拜访你们，好让你们受益两次。 16 我的计划曾是在去马其顿的途中拜访你们，然后从马其顿返回时，再到你们那里去，让你们送我去犹太。 17 我做这些计划时反复无常了吗？我用世俗的方式制定计划吗？在说“是，是”的同时，又说“非，非”？

2 Corinthians 1
The Voice
1 Paul, an emissary[a] of Jesus the Anointed pressed into service by the will of God, and our brother Timothy to God’s church that gathers in Corinth and all the saints in the region of Achaia.
2 May grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, surround you.
3 All praise goes to God, Father of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. He is the Father of compassion, the God of all comfort. 4 He consoles us as we endure the pain and hardship of life so that we may draw from His comfort and share it with others in their own struggles. 5 For even as His suffering continues to flood over us, through the Anointed we experience the wealth of His comfort just the same. 6 If we are afflicted with such trouble and pain, then know it is so that you might ultimately experience comfort and salvation. If we experience comfort, it is to encourage you so that you can hold up while you endure the same sufferings we all share. 7 Remember that our hope for you stands firm, unshaken and unshakable. That’s because we know that as you share in our sufferings, so you will also share in our comfort.
8 My brothers and sisters, we have to tell you that when we were in Asia the troubles we faced were nearly more than we could handle. The burdens we bore nearly crushed us. Our strength dwindled to nothing. For a while, we weren’t sure we would make it through the whole ordeal. 9 We thought we would have to serve out our death sentences right then and there. As a result, we realized that we could no longer rely on ourselves and that we must trust solely in God, who possesses the power to raise the dead. 10 Miraculously God Himself delivered us from the cold hands of death. We again place our hope in Him alone, and we know He will deliver us. 11 Join us in this work. Lend us a hand through prayer so that many will give thanks for the gift that comes to us when God answers the prayers of so many.
Some believe that prosperity and comfort are the markers of a faithful Christian; in order to believe that, you have to ignore completely the life and writings of Paul, the emissary. It is only when you suffer that you can meet God as your comforter. In these letters, and often in our own lives, it is when we seem to have come to the end of ourselves that we see and experience the fullness of God in entirely new ways. This is not to say that any of us should or would seek out the kind of suffering Paul experienced; we do not long to be imprisoned, beaten, shipwrecked, or hunted by authorities. But when our dark days come, we should be ready to learn, grow, and experience the fullness of God in the midst of our troubles.
12 We are proud of the fact that we have lived before the world and especially before you with clear consciences, living holy lives mixed with genuine sincerity before God. We have not relied on any human wisdom but on the grace and favor of God. 13 We are not writing to you in anything resembling codes or riddles; we only write those lessons you are ready to read and understand. I hope you will study them, value them, and truly understand them until the end. 14 You have already begun to grasp what we mean in part; but on the day when our Lord Jesus returns, we will be as proud of you as you are of us.
15-16 In this spirit of trust and confidence, I was intending to come your way first on my current journey. So that you might have a double dose of this grace and assurance, my plan was to visit you on my way to Macedonia and return to you again on the journey back so that you could assist me on the trip to Judea. 17 But since this didn’t happen, was I just being indecisive? Were my plans made in the flesh rather than by God’s Spirit? How can I say “yes” and “no” in the same breath? 18 Because our God is always faithful to His promises, our word to you was not both “yes” and “no”—“Yes, I’ll come,” and then, “No, I’ve changed my mind.” 19 For the Son of God—Jesus the Anointed whom we (Silvanus,[b] Timothy, and I) have preached to you—was not both “yes” and then “no.” With Him the answer is always “yes.” 20 In Jesus we hear a resounding “yes” to all of God’s many promises. This is the reason we say “Amen” to and through Jesus when giving glory to God. 21 Remember that God has established our relationship with you in the Anointed One, and He has anointed and commissioned us for this special mission. 22 He has marked us with His seal and placed His Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee, a down payment of the things to come.
23 If I were in court today, I’d call God as a witness to my soul. Here’s the truth: I decided not to come back to Corinth in order to spare you further pain and sorrow. 24 It’s not that we want to coerce you in any matter of faith; we are coworkers called to increase your joy because you have stood firm in faith.

1 Eu, Paulo, apóstolo de Cristo Jesus pela vontade de Deus, escrevo junto com o nosso irmão Timóteo esta carta à igreja de Deus que está na cidade de Corinto e também a todo o povo de Deus espalhado por toda a província da Acaia.
2 Que a graça e a paz de Deus, o nosso Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo estejam com vocês!
A ajuda de Deus nos sofrimentos
3 Louvado seja o Deus e Pai do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Pai bondoso, o Deus de quem todos recebem ajuda! 4 Ele nos auxilia em todas as nossas aflições para podermos ajudar os que têm as mesmas aflições que nós temos. E nós damos aos outros a mesma ajuda que recebemos de Deus. 5 Porque, assim como tomamos parte nos muitos sofrimentos de Cristo, assim também, por meio dele, participamos da sua grande ajuda. 6 Se sofremos, é para que vocês recebam ajuda e salvação. Se somos ajudados, então vocês também são e recebem forças para suportar com paciência os mesmos sofrimentos que nós suportamos. 7 Desse modo a esperança que temos em vocês está firme. Pois sabemos que, assim como vocês tomam parte nos nossos sofrimentos, assim também recebem a ajuda que Deus dá.
8 Irmãos, queremos que saibam das aflições pelas quais passamos na província da Ásia. Os sofrimentos que suportamos foram tão grandes e tão duros, que já não tínhamos mais esperança de escapar de lá com vida. 9 Nós nos sentíamos como condenados à morte. Mas isso aconteceu para que aprendêssemos a confiar não em nós mesmos e sim em Deus, que ressuscita os mortos. 10 Ele nos salvou e continuará a nos salvar desses terríveis perigos de morte. Sim, nós temos posto nele a nossa esperança, na certeza de que ele continuará a nos salvar, 11 enquanto vocês nos ajudam, orando por nós. Assim Deus responderá às muitas orações feitas em nosso favor e nos abençoará; e muitos lhe agradecerão as bênçãos que ele nos dará.
Paulo muda os seus planos
12 É disto que temos orgulho: a nossa consciência nos afirma que a nossa maneira de viver no mundo, e especialmente em relação a vocês, tem sido dirigida pela franqueza e sinceridade que Deus nos dá e também pelo poder da sua graça e não pela sabedoria humana. 13-14 Pois escrevemos a vocês somente o que vocês podem ler e entender. Agora vocês nos entendem só em parte, mas espero que cheguem a nos compreender completamente, para que, no Dia do nosso Senhor Jesus, vocês tenham orgulho de nós, como nós temos de vocês.
15 Eu estava tão certo de tudo isso, que no início fiz planos para ir visitar vocês a fim de que vocês pudessem ser abençoados mais uma vez. 16 De fato, eu estava pensando em visitá-los na minha ida para a província da Macedônia e também na volta, a fim de conseguir ajuda para a minha viagem à Judeia. 17 Será que fui irresponsável quando resolvi fazer isso? Será que, ao fazer os meus planos, penso somente nos meus próprios interesses e por isso digo “sim, sim” e “não, não” ao mesmo tempo? 18 Em nome de Deus, que é verdadeiro, o que prometi a vocês não foi um “sim” e um “não” ao mesmo tempo. 19 Pois Jesus Cristo, o Filho de Deus, que foi anunciado entre vocês por Silas, por Timóteo e por mim mesmo, não é “sim” e “não” ao mesmo tempo. Pelo contrário, ele é o “sim” de Deus 20 porque é o “sim” de todas as promessas de Deus. Por isso dizemos “amém”, por meio de Jesus Cristo, para a glória de Deus. 21 Pois é o próprio Deus que nos dá, a nós e a vocês, a certeza de que estamos unidos com Cristo. E foi Deus quem nos separou para si mesmo. 22 Como dono ele pôs a sua marca em nós e colocou no nosso coração o Espírito Santo, que é a garantia das coisas que ele guarda para nós.
23 Eu chamo Deus como minha testemunha; ele conhece o meu coração. A fim de evitar aborrecimentos para vocês, resolvi não ir até Corinto. 24 Não estamos querendo mandar na sua fé, pois vocês estão firmes na fé. Pelo contrário, queremos trabalhar com vocês para que vocês sejam mais felizes ainda.
