39 丈夫还活着的时候，妻子必须忠于丈夫。如果丈夫去世了，她就自由了，可以再婚，只是要嫁给信主的弟兄。 40 然而，照我的意见，她若能不再婚就更有福了。我想自己也是受了上帝的灵感动才说这番话的。

39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.
