只傳耶穌基督釘十字架
2 弟兄們，我從前到你們那裡去，並沒有用高言大智向你們傳講 神的奧祕。 2 因為我曾立定主意，在你們中間甚麼都不想知道，只知道耶穌基督和他釘十字架的事。 3 我在你們那裡的時候，又軟弱又懼怕，而且戰戰兢兢； 4 我說的話、講的道，都不是用智慧的話去說服人，而是用聖靈和能力來證明， 5 使你們的信不是憑著人的智慧，而是憑著 神的能力。
屬靈的人看透萬事
6 然而在信心成熟的人中間，我們也講智慧，但不是這世代的智慧，也不是這世代將要滅亡的執政者的智慧。 7 我們所講的，是從前隱藏的、 神奧祕的智慧，就是 神在萬世以前，為我們的榮耀所預定的； 8 這智慧，這世代執政的人沒有一個知道，如果他們知道，就不會把榮耀的主釘在十字架上了。 9 正如經上所記：
“ 神為愛他的人所預備的，
是眼睛未曾見過，耳朵未曾聽過，
人心也未曾想到的。”
10 但 神卻藉著聖靈把這些向我們顯明了，因為聖靈測透萬事，連 神深奧的事也測透了。 11 除了在人裡面的靈，誰能知道人的事呢？同樣，除了 神的靈，也沒有人知道 神的事。 12 我們所領受的，不是這世界的靈，而是從 神來的靈，使我們能知道 神開恩賜給我們的事。 13 我們也講這些事，不是用人的智慧所教的言語，而是用聖靈所教的言語，向屬靈的人解釋屬靈的事（“向屬靈的人解釋屬靈的事”或譯：“用屬靈的話解釋屬靈的事”）。 14 然而屬血氣的人不接受 神的靈的事，因為他以為是愚笨的；而且他也不能夠明白，因為這些事，要有屬靈的眼光才能領悟。 15 屬靈的人能看透萬事，卻沒有人能看透他， 16 如經上所記：
“誰曾知道主的心意，
能夠指教他呢？”
但我們已經得著基督的心意了。

2 弟兄姊妹，我当初到你们那里传扬上帝的奥秘，并没有用高深的言论或哲理。 2 因为我已决定在你们当中不谈别的，只讲耶稣基督和祂被钉十字架的事。 3 那时我在你们当中很软弱，害怕，战战兢兢。 4 我说话、讲道不是靠充满智慧的雄辩之词，而是靠圣灵的能力作明证， 5 好使你们的信仰不是以人的智慧为基础，而是以上帝的能力为基础。
6 当然我们也跟成熟的人谈论智慧，不过并非这个世代的智慧，也不是那些在世上当权、将来要衰亡之人的智慧。 7 我们所讲的是上帝隐藏在奥秘中的智慧，是祂为了使我们得荣耀而在万世以前定好的智慧。 8 只可惜世上当权的人没有一个明白这智慧。他们要是明白，就不会把荣耀的主钉在十字架上了。 9 正如圣经上说：
“上帝为爱祂的人所预备的，
是眼睛未曾见过，
耳朵未曾听闻，
人心也未曾想到的。”
10 然而，上帝借着圣灵将这一切启示给我们，因为圣灵洞悉万事，连上帝深奥的事都了如指掌。 11 除了人里面的灵，谁能了解人的事呢？照样，除了上帝的圣灵，谁也不能了解上帝的事。 12 我们接受的不是这世界的灵，而是上帝的圣灵，使我们可以领会上帝开恩启示给我们的事。 13 我们讲述这些事，不是用人类智慧所教的话，而是用圣灵所教的话，用属灵的话解释属灵的事[a]。
14 然而，属血气的人不接受从上帝来的圣灵的教导，认为愚不可及，无法明白，因为只有属灵的人才能参透。 15 属灵的人能够参透万事，但没有人能参透他。

能够指教祂呢？”

Telling about Christ and the Cross
2 Friends, when I came and told you the mystery[a] that God had shared with us, I didn't use big words or try to sound wise. 2 In fact, while I was with you, I made up my mind to speak only about Jesus Christ, who had been nailed to a cross.
3 (A) At first, I was weak and trembling with fear. 4 When I talked with you or preached, I didn't try to prove anything by sounding wise. I simply let God's Spirit show his power. 5 That way you would have faith because of God's power and not because of human wisdom.
6 We do use wisdom when speaking to people who are mature in their faith. But it isn't the wisdom of this world or of its rulers, who will soon disappear. 7 We speak of God's hidden and mysterious wisdom that God decided to use for our glory long before the world began. 8 (B) The rulers of this world didn't know anything about this wisdom. If they had known about it, they would not have nailed the glorious Lord to a cross. 9 (C) But it is just as the Scriptures say,
“What God has planned
for people who love him
is more than eyes have seen
or ears have heard.
It has never even
entered our minds!”
10 God's Spirit has shown you everything. His Spirit finds out everything, even what is deep in the mind of God. 11 You are the only one who knows what is in your own mind, and God's Spirit is the only one who knows what is in God's mind. 12 But God has given us his Spirit. This is why we don't think the same way that the people of this world think. This is also why we can recognize the blessings God has given us.
13 Every word we speak was taught to us by God's Spirit, not by human wisdom. And this same Spirit helps us teach spiritual things to spiritual people.[b] 14 This is why only someone who has God's Spirit can understand spiritual blessings. Anyone who doesn't have God's Spirit thinks these blessings are foolish. 15 People who are guided by the Spirit can make all kinds of judgments, but they cannot be judged by others. 16 (D) The Scriptures ask,
“Has anyone ever known
the thoughts of the Lord
or given him advice?”
But we understand what Christ is thinking.[c]

2 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

2 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom(A) as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.[a] 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.(B) 3 I came to you(C) in weakness(D) with great fear and trembling.(E) 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words,(F) but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,(G) 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.(H)
God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature,(I) but not the wisdom of this age(J) or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.(K) 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery(L) that has been hidden(M) and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age(N) understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.(O) 9 However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[b]—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—(P)
10 these are the things God has revealed(Q) to us by his Spirit.(R)
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts(S) except their own spirit(T) within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit(U) of the world,(V) but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom(W) but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.[c] 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God(X) but considers them foolishness,(Y) and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit(Z) makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,
But we have the mind of Christ.(AB)
