论讲道和说方言
14 你们要追求爱，也要切慕属灵的恩赐，尤其是做先知讲道的恩赐。 2 人说方言，是对上帝说的，并非对人说的，因为没有人听得懂，他是在心灵里述说各样的奥秘。 3 但先知讲道是对人讲的，为了要造就、鼓励、安慰人。 4 说方言只是造就自己，但做先知讲道是造就教会。 5 我希望你们都能够说方言，不过，我更希望你们都能做先知讲道。说方言的不如做先知讲道的重要，除非把方言翻译出来，使教会得造就。
6 弟兄姊妹，如果我到你们那里只说方言，不讲解有关上帝的启示、知识、预言、教导，我对你们有什么益处呢？ 7 就连没有生命的箫和琴，如果发出的声音杂乱无章，谁能知道所吹所弹的是什么曲子呢？ 8 如果号声不清楚，谁会预备打仗呢？ 9 同样，除非你们讲出清楚的信息，不然听见的人怎能明白呢？那岂不等于对空气说话吗？ 10 世上有各种语言，却没有一种是毫无意义的。 11 如果有人对我说话，我却不明白他的语言，我们彼此就成了语言不通的人。 12 你们也是一样，既然渴慕属灵的恩赐，就应该多多追求造就教会的恩赐。
13 所以说方言的人应当祈求能把方言翻译出来。 14 如果我用方言祷告，那是我的灵在祷告，但我的悟性没有发挥作用。 15 那么，我该怎么做呢？我要用灵祷告，也要用悟性祷告；我要用灵歌唱，也要用悟性歌唱。 16 否则，如果你在聚会中用方言[a]来感恩，在座不懂方言的人不明白你在说些什么，怎能在你感恩的时候说“阿们”呢？ 17 你的感恩表达得固然美好，无奈不能造就别人。
18 感谢上帝，我说方言比你们众人都多。 19 但在教会中我宁可用悟性说五句教导人的话，胜过说万句别人不懂的方言。
20 弟兄姊妹，你们的思想不要像小孩子，要长大成熟，但在罪恶的事上要像婴孩。 21 律法书上记载：
“主说，‘我要借着讲陌生语言的人和外邦人的口向这些子民说话。
虽然如此，
他们仍然不听从我。’”
22 由此可见，讲方言不是显给信徒的标记，而是显给非信徒的标记；但先知讲道是显给信徒的标记，不是显给非信徒的标记。 23 所以，如果你们在聚会中，全体信徒都说方言，偶然有不懂方言的人或非信徒进来，他们岂不会说你们全都疯了吗？ 24 但如果你们都做先知讲道，偶然有非信徒或是不懂方言的人进来，他会醒悟到自己的罪，良心受到谴责， 25 心中的秘密也会显露出来，便会俯伏敬拜上帝，说：“上帝真的在你们当中！”
聚会的原则
26 那么，弟兄姊妹，你们该怎么做呢？你们聚会的时候，不管是唱诗、教导、讲启示、说方言或翻译方言，都应该是为了造就人。 27 如果有人要说方言，应当只限于两个人，最多三个，要轮流说，而且要有人把它翻译出来。 28 如果没有人翻译，说方言的人就当在聚会中闭口不言，只向自己和上帝说。
29 做先知讲道的也应该限于两三个人，其他的人应当慎思明辨。 30 但如果上帝的启示临到在座的其他人，正在讲的人要停下来， 31 这样大家都可以轮流讲道，人人都可以得到教导和勉励。 32 先知的灵受先知控制， 33 因为上帝不是叫人混乱的上帝，而是赐人平安的上帝。
34 正如圣徒的各教会一样，妇女[b]在聚会中要保持安静，因为她们不可以发言，总要顺服，正如律法书所说的。 35 如果她们想要学什么，可以在家问自己的丈夫，因为妇女在聚会中发言是可耻的。 36 难道上帝的道是出自你们哥林多人吗？难道上帝的道单单传给了你们吗？ 37 如果你们当中有人自认为是先知或属灵的人，他就应该知道我现在所写的是主的命令。 38 如果有人对此视而不见，不必理会他。
39 所以，我的弟兄姊妹，你们要切慕做先知讲道，也不要禁止说方言。 40 但无论做什么事，都要按规矩，有次序。

14 Procuren alcanzar el amor(A); pero también deseen ardientemente los dones espirituales(B), sobre todo que profeticen(C). 2 Porque el que habla en lenguas[a](D) no habla a los hombres, sino a Dios, pues nadie lo entiende[b], sino que en su espíritu[c] habla misterios(E). 3 Pero el que profetiza habla a los hombres para edificación(F), exhortación y consolación(G).
4 El que habla en lenguas(H), a sí mismo se edifica, pero el que profetiza(I) edifica a la iglesia(J). 5 Yo quisiera que todos hablaran en lenguas(K), pero aún más, que profetizaran(L). Porque el que profetiza es superior al que habla en lenguas, a menos de que las interprete para que la iglesia reciba edificación(M).
6 Ahora bien, hermanos, si yo voy a ustedes hablando en lenguas, ¿de qué provecho les seré a menos de que les hable por medio de revelación(N), o de conocimiento(O), o de profecía(P), o de enseñanza(Q)? 7 Aun las cosas inanimadas, como la flauta o el arpa, al producir un sonido, si no dan con distinción los sonidos, ¿cómo se sabrá lo que se toca en la flauta o en el arpa? 8 Porque si la trompeta da un sonido incierto, ¿quién se preparará para la batalla(R)?
9 Así también ustedes, a menos de que con la boca[d] pronuncien palabras inteligibles, ¿cómo se sabrá lo que dicen[e]? Pues hablarán al aire(S). 10 Hay, quizás, muchas variedades de idiomas[f] en el mundo, y ninguno carece de significado. 11 Pues si yo no sé el significado[g] de las palabras[h], seré para el que habla un extranjero[i](T), y el que habla será un extranjero[j] para mí[k].
12 Así también ustedes, puesto que anhelan dones espirituales[l], procuren abundar en ellos para la edificación de la iglesia(U). 13 Por tanto, el que habla en lenguas, pida en oración para que pueda interpretar. 14 Porque si yo oro en lenguas, mi espíritu ora, pero mi entendimiento[m] queda sin fruto.
15 Entonces ¿qué(V)? Oraré con el espíritu, pero también oraré con el entendimiento[n]. Cantaré(W) con el espíritu, pero también cantaré con el entendimiento[o]. 16 De otra manera, si bendices solo en[p] el espíritu, ¿cómo dirá el «Amén(X)» a tu acción de gracias(Y) el que ocupa el lugar del que no tiene ese don[q], puesto que no sabe lo que dices? 17 Porque tú, bien das gracias, pero el otro no es edificado(Z).
18 Doy gracias a Dios porque hablo en lenguas más que todos ustedes. 19 Sin embargo, en la iglesia prefiero[r] hablar cinco palabras con mi entendimiento[s], para instruir también a otros, antes que diez mil palabras en lenguas.
20 Hermanos(AA), no sean niños en la manera de pensar(AB). Más bien, sean niños(AC) en la malicia, pero en la manera de pensar sean maduros. 21 En la ley(AD) está escrito: «Por hombres de lenguas extrañas y por boca[t] de extraños hablaré a este pueblo, y ni aun así me escucharán(AE)», dice el Señor.
22 Así que las lenguas son una señal, no para los que creen, sino para los incrédulos; pero la profecía(AF) es una señal, no para los incrédulos, sino para los creyentes. 23 Por tanto, si toda la iglesia se reúne y todos hablan en lenguas, y entran algunos sin ese don o que son incrédulos, ¿no dirán que ustedes están locos(AG)? 24 Pero si todos profetizan(AH), y entra un incrédulo, o uno sin ese don, por todos será[u] convencido(AI), por todos será[v] juzgado. 25 Los secretos de su corazón quedarán al descubierto, y él se postrará(AJ) y adorará a Dios, declarando que en verdad Dios está entre ustedes(AK).
El orden en los cultos
26 ¿Qué(AL) hay que hacer, pues, hermanos(AM)? Cuando se reúnan, cada cual aporte[w] salmo(AN), enseñanza, revelación(AO), lenguas(AP) o interpretación(AQ). Que todo se haga para edificación(AR). 27 Si alguien habla en lenguas(AS), que hablen dos, o a lo más tres, y por turno, y que uno interprete(AT). 28 Pero si no hay intérprete, que guarde silencio en la iglesia y que hable para sí y para Dios.
29 Y que dos o tres profetas(AU) hablen, y los demás juzguen(AV). 30 Pero si a otro que está sentado le es revelado algo, que calle el primero. 31 Porque todos pueden profetizar uno por uno, para que todos aprendan y todos sean exhortados. 32 Los espíritus de los profetas están sujetos a los profetas. 33 Porque Dios no es Dios de confusión(AW), sino de paz, como en todas las iglesias(AX) de los santos(AY).
34 Las mujeres[x](AZ) guarden silencio en las iglesias, porque no les es permitido hablar, antes bien, que se sujeten(BA) como dice también la ley(BB). 35 Y si quieren aprender algo, que pregunten a sus propios maridos en casa, porque no es correcto[y] que la mujer hable en la iglesia. 36 ¿Acaso la palabra de Dios salió de ustedes, o solo a ustedes ha llegado?
37 Si alguien piensa que es profeta o espiritual(BC), reconozca(BD) que lo que les escribo es mandamiento del Señor(BE). 38 Pero si alguien no reconoce esto, él no es reconocido[z].
39 Por tanto, hermanos míos, anhelen(BF) el profetizar(BG), y no prohíban hablar en lenguas. 40 Pero que todo se haga decentemente y con orden(BH).

El hablar en lenguas
14 Seguid el amor; y procurad los dones espirituales, pero sobre todo que profeticéis. 2 Porque el que habla en lenguas no habla a los hombres, sino a Dios; pues nadie le entiende, aunque por el Espíritu habla misterios. 3 Pero el que profetiza habla a los hombres para edificación, exhortación y consolación. 4 El que habla en lengua extraña, a sí mismo se edifica; pero el que profetiza, edifica a la iglesia. 5 Así que, quisiera que todos vosotros hablaseis en lenguas, pero más que profetizaseis; porque mayor es el que profetiza que el que habla en lenguas, a no ser que las interprete para que la iglesia reciba edificación.
6 Ahora pues, hermanos, si yo voy a vosotros hablando en lenguas, ¿qué os aprovechará, si no os hablare con revelación, o con ciencia, o con profecía, o con doctrina? 7 Ciertamente las cosas inanimadas que producen sonidos, como la flauta o la cítara, si no dieren distinción de voces, ¿cómo se sabrá lo que se toca con la flauta o con la cítara? 8 Y si la trompeta diere sonido incierto, ¿quién se preparará para la batalla? 9 Así también vosotros, si por la lengua no diereis palabra bien comprensible, ¿cómo se entenderá lo que decís? Porque hablaréis al aire. 10 Tantas clases de idiomas hay, seguramente, en el mundo, y ninguno de ellos carece de significado. 11 Pero si yo ignoro el valor de las palabras, seré como extranjero para el que habla, y el que habla será como extranjero para mí. 12 Así también vosotros; pues que anheláis dones espirituales, procurad abundar en ellos para edificación de la iglesia.
13 Por lo cual, el que habla en lengua extraña, pida en oración poder interpretarla. 14 Porque si yo oro en lengua desconocida, mi espíritu ora, pero mi entendimiento queda sin fruto. 15 ¿Qué, pues? Oraré con el espíritu, pero oraré también con el entendimiento; cantaré con el espíritu, pero cantaré también con el entendimiento. 16 Porque si bendices solo con el espíritu, el que ocupa lugar de simple oyente, ¿cómo dirá el Amén a tu acción de gracias? pues no sabe lo que has dicho. 17 Porque tú, a la verdad, bien das gracias; pero el otro no es edificado. 18 Doy gracias a Dios que hablo en lenguas más que todos vosotros; 19 pero en la iglesia prefiero hablar cinco palabras con mi entendimiento, para enseñar también a otros, que diez mil palabras en lengua desconocida.
20 Hermanos, no seáis niños en el modo de pensar, sino sed niños en la malicia, pero maduros en el modo de pensar. 21 En la ley está escrito: En otras lenguas y con otros labios hablaré a este pueblo; y ni aun así me oirán, dice el Señor.(A) 22 Así que, las lenguas son por señal, no a los creyentes, sino a los incrédulos; pero la profecía, no a los incrédulos, sino a los creyentes. 23 Si, pues, toda la iglesia se reúne en un solo lugar, y todos hablan en lenguas, y entran indoctos o incrédulos, ¿no dirán que estáis locos? 24 Pero si todos profetizan, y entra algún incrédulo o indocto, por todos es convencido, por todos es juzgado; 25 lo oculto de su corazón se hace manifiesto; y así, postrándose sobre el rostro, adorará a Dios, declarando que verdaderamente Dios está entre vosotros.
26 ¿Qué hay, pues, hermanos? Cuando os reunís, cada uno de vosotros tiene salmo, tiene doctrina, tiene lengua, tiene revelación, tiene interpretación. Intelligibility in Worship
14 Follow the way of love(A) and eagerly desire(B) gifts of the Spirit,(C) especially prophecy.(D) 2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue[a](E) does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them;(F) they utter mysteries(G) by the Spirit. 3 But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening,(H) encouraging(I) and comfort. 4 Anyone who speaks in a tongue(J) edifies(K) themselves, but the one who prophesies(L) edifies the church. 5 I would like every one of you to speak in tongues,[b] but I would rather have you prophesy.(M) The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues,[c] unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified.(N)
6 Now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation(O) or knowledge(P) or prophecy or word of instruction?(Q) 7 Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the pipe or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes? 8 Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?(R) 9 So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air. 10 Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning. 11 If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker is a foreigner to me.(S) 12 So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit,(T) try to excel in those that build up(U) the church.
13 For this reason the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that they may interpret what they say.(V) 14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays,(W) but my mind is unfruitful. 15 So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit,(X) but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing(Y) with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding. 16 Otherwise when you are praising God in the Spirit, how can someone else, who is now put in the position of an inquirer,[d] say “Amen”(Z) to your thanksgiving,(AA) since they do not know what you are saying? 17 You are giving thanks well enough, but no one else is edified.(AB)
18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. 19 But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.(AC)
20 Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children.(AD) In regard to evil be infants,(AE) but in your thinking be adults. 21 In the Law(AF) it is written:
“With other tongues
and through the lips of foreigners
I will speak to this people,
but even then they will not listen to me,(AG)
says the Lord.”[e]
22 Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy,(AH) however, is not for unbelievers but for believers. 23 So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and inquirers or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind?(AI) 24 But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgment by all, 25 as the secrets(AJ) of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you!”(AK)
Good Order in Worship
26 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters?(AL) When you come together, each of you(AM) has a hymn,(AN) or a word of instruction,(AO) a revelation, a tongue(AP) or an interpretation.(AQ) Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.(AR) 27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28 If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.
29 Two or three prophets(AS) should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said.(AT) 30 And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. 31 For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. 32 The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets.(AU) 33 For God is not a God of disorder(AV) but of peace(AW)—as in all the congregations(AX) of the Lord’s people.(AY)
34 Women[f] should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak,(AZ) but must be in submission,(BA) as the law(BB) says. 35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.[g]
36 Or did the word of God(BC) originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37 If anyone thinks they are a prophet(BD) or otherwise gifted by the Spirit,(BE) let them acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command.(BF) 38 But if anyone ignores this, they will themselves be ignored.[h]
39 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager(BG) to prophesy,(BH) and do not forbid speaking in tongues. 40 But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly(BI) way.

2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
5 I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.
11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.
12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
16 Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?
17 For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
