女人蒙头的问题
2 我称赞你们,因为你们在一切事上都记念我,又持守我传交给你们的教训。 3 但是我愿意你们知道,基督是男人的头,男人是女人的头(“男人是女人的头”或译:“丈夫是妻子的头”), 神是基督的头。 4 男人祷告或讲道的时候,如果蒙着头,就是羞辱自己的头。 5 女人祷告或讲道的时候,如果不蒙着头,就是羞辱自己的头,因为这就好象剃了头发一样。 6 女人要不蒙着头,她就应当把头发剪了;如果女人以为剪发或剃头是羞耻的事,她就应当蒙着头。 7 男人不应蒙着头,因为他是 神的形象和荣耀,而女人是男人的荣耀。 8 因为男人不是由女人而出,女人却是由男人而出, 9 并且男人不是为了女人而造的,女人却是为了男人而造的。 10 因此,为天使的缘故,女人应当在头上有服权柄的记号。
11 然而在主里面,女人不可以没有男人,男人也不可以没有女人。 12 因为正如女人是由男人而出,照样,男人是借着女人而生;万有都是出于 神。 13 你们自己判断一下,女人向 神祷告的时候不蒙头,是合适的吗? 14 人的本性不是也教导你们,如果男人有长头发,就是他的羞耻吗? 15 如果女人有长头发,不就是她的荣耀吗?因为头发是给她作盖头的。 16 如果有人想要强辩,我们却没有这种习惯, 神的众教会也没有。

23 我当日传交给你们的,原是从主领受的,就是主耶稣被出卖的那一夜,他拿起饼来, 24 祝谢了,就擘开,说:“这是我的身体,为你们擘开的;你们应当这样行,为的是记念我。” 25 饭后,照样拿起杯来,说:“这杯是用我的血所立的新约,你们每逢喝的时候,应当这样行,为的是记念我。” 26 你们每逢吃这饼,喝这杯,就是宣扬主的死,直等到他来。
27 因此,无论甚么人若用不合适的态度吃主的饼,喝主的杯,就是得罪主的身体、主的血了。 28 所以人应当省察自己,然后才吃这饼,喝这杯。 29 因为那吃喝的人,如果不辨明是主的身体,就是吃喝定在自己的身上的罪了。 30 因此,你们中间有许多人是软弱的,患病的,而且死了(“死了”直译作“睡了”)的也不少。 31 我们若仔细省察自己,就不会受审判了。 32 然而我们被主审判的时候,是受他的管教,免得和世人一同被定罪。 33 所以,我的弟兄们,你们聚集在一起吃的时候,要彼此等待。 34 如果有人饿了,就应当在家里先吃,免得你们聚集在一起的时候受到审判。其余的事,我来的时候再作安排。

11 1 Follow my example,(A) as I follow the example of Christ.(B)
On Covering the Head in Worship
2 I praise you(C) for remembering me in everything(D) and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you.(E) 3 But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ,(F) and the head of the woman is man,[a](G) and the head of Christ is God.(H) 4 Every man who prays or prophesies(I) with his head covered dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies(J) with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved.(K) 6 For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.
7 A man ought not to cover his head,[b] since he is the image(L) and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man;(M) 9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.(N) 10 It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own[c] head, because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.(O)
13 Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, 15 but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. 16 If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God.(P)
Correcting an Abuse of the Lord’s Supper(Q)
17 In the following directives I have no praise for you,(R) for your meetings do more harm than good. 18 In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions(S) among you, and to some extent I believe it. 19 No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval.(T) 20 So then, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat, 21 for when you are eating, some of you go ahead with your own private suppers.(U) As a result, one person remains hungry and another gets drunk. 22 Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God(V) by humiliating those who have nothing?(W) What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you?(X) Certainly not in this matter!
23 For I received from the Lord(Y) what I also passed on to you:(Z) The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body,(AA) which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant(AB) in my blood;(AC) do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.(AD)
27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.(AE) 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves(AF) before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.(AG) 31 But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.(AH) 32 Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined(AI) so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.(AJ)
33 So then, my brothers and sisters, when you gather to eat, you should all eat together. 34 Anyone who is hungry(AK) should eat something at home,(AL) so that when you meet together it may not result in judgment.

11 Pattern yourselves after me [follow my example], as I imitate and follow Christ (the Messiah).
2 I appreciate and commend you because you always remember me in everything and keep firm possession of the traditions (the substance of my instructions), just as I have [verbally] passed them on to you.
3 But I want you to know and realize that Christ is the Head of every man, the head of a woman is her husband, and the Head of Christ is God.
4 Any man who prays or prophesies (teaches, refutes, reproves, admonishes, and comforts) with his head covered dishonors his Head (Christ).
5 And any woman who [publicly] prays or prophesies (teaches, refutes, reproves, admonishes, or comforts) when she is bareheaded dishonors her head (her husband); it is the same as [if her head were] shaved.
6 For if a woman will not wear [a head] covering, then she should cut off her hair too; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her head shorn or shaven, let her cover [her head].
7 For a man ought not to wear anything on his head [in church], for he is the image and [reflected] glory of God [[a]his function of government reflects the majesty of the divine Rule]; but woman is [the expression of] man’s glory (majesty, preeminence).(A)
8 For man was not [created] from woman, but woman from man;(B)
9 Neither was man created on account of or for the benefit of woman, but woman on account of and for the benefit of man.(C)
10 [b]Therefore she should [be subject to his authority and should] have a covering on her head [as a token, a symbol, of her submission to authority, [c]that she may show reverence as do] the angels [and not displease them].
11 Nevertheless, in [the plan of] the Lord and from His point of view woman is not apart from and independent of man, nor is man aloof from and independent of woman;
12 For as woman was made from man, even so man is also born of woman; and all [whether male or female go forth] from God [as their Author].
13 Consider for yourselves; is it proper and decent [according to your customs] for a woman to offer prayer to God [publicly] with her head uncovered?
14 Does not [d]the native sense of propriety (experience, common sense, reason) itself teach you that for a man to wear long hair is a dishonor [humiliating and degrading] to him,
15 But if a woman has long hair, it is her ornament and glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering.
16 Now if anyone is disposed to be argumentative and contentious about this, we hold to and recognize no other custom [in worship] than this, nor do the churches of God generally.
17 But in what I instruct [you] next I do not commend [you], because when you meet together, it is not for the better but for the worse.
18 For in the first place, when you assemble as a congregation, I hear that there are cliques (divisions and factions) among you; and I in part believe it,
19 For doubtless there have to be factions or parties among you in order that they who are genuine and of approved fitness may become evident and plainly recognized among you.
20 So when you gather for your meetings, it is not the supper instituted by the Lord that you eat,
21 For in eating each one [hurries] to get his own supper first [not waiting for the poor], and one goes hungry while another gets drunk.
22 What! Do you have no houses in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the church of God and mean to show contempt for it, while you humiliate those who are poor (have no homes and have brought no food)? What shall I say to you? Shall I commend you in this? No, [most certainly] I will not!
23 For I received from the Lord Himself that which I passed on to you [it was given to me personally], that the Lord Jesus on the night when He was treacherously delivered up and while His betrayal was in progress took bread,
24 And when He had given thanks, He broke [it] and said, Take, eat. This is My body, which is broken for you. Do this to call Me [affectionately] to remembrance.
25 Similarly when supper was ended, He took the cup also, saying, This cup is the new covenant [ratified and established] in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink [it], to call Me [affectionately] to remembrance.
26 For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are representing and signifying and proclaiming the fact of the Lord’s death until He comes [again].
27 So then whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in a way that is unworthy [of Him] will be guilty of [profaning and sinning against] the body and blood of the Lord.
28 Let a man [thoroughly] examine himself, and [only when he has done] so should he eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
29 For anyone who eats and drinks without discriminating and recognizing with due appreciation that [it is Christ’s] body, eats and drinks a sentence (a verdict of judgment) upon himself.
30 That [careless and unworthy participation] is the reason many of you are weak and sickly, and quite enough of you have fallen into the sleep of death.
31 For if we searchingly examined ourselves [detecting our shortcomings and recognizing our own condition], we should not be judged and penalty decreed [by the divine judgment].
32 But when we [fall short and] are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined and chastened, so that we may not [finally] be condemned [to eternal punishment along] with the world.
33 So then, my brothers, when you gather together to eat [the Lord’s Supper], wait for one another.
34 If anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together to bring judgment [on yourselves]. About the other matters, I will give you directions [personally] when I come.

2 Tak się cieszę, przyjaciele, że pamiętacie wszystko, czego was nauczyłem, i przestrzegacie tego. 3 Wiedzcie jednak, że głową męża jest Chrystus, głową żony—mąż, a głową Chrystusa—Bóg. 4 Dlatego jeśli mężczyzna modli się albo prorokuje z nakrytą głową, przynosi wstyd swojej głowie. 5 Jeśli zaś kobieta publicznie modli się albo prorokuje z odkrytą głową, również przynosi wstyd swojej głowie, wygląda bowiem tak, jakby nie miała włosów. 6 Jeśli nie chce nakrywać głowy, niech zetnie włosy. A skoro wstydzi się to zrobić, niech postępuje zgodnie ze zwyczajem i nakrywa głowę. 7 Mąż natomiast nie powinien nakrywać głowy. Jest bowiem obrazem Boga, przynoszącym Mu chwałę, żona zaś jest obrazem męża. 8 To nie mężczyzna powstał z kobiety, ale ona z niego. 9 I nie mąż został stworzony dla żony, ale żona dla męża. 10 Dlatego żona powinna nosić nakrycie głowy—ze względu na aniołów.
11 Przed Panem jednak ani żona, ani mąż nie są niezależni od siebie, 12 bo chociaż pierwsza kobieta pochodzi od mężczyzny, to jednak każdy mężczyzna rodzi się z kobiety—a wszyscy pochodzą od Boga. 13 Sami zresztą oceńcie: Czy wypada kobiecie publicznie modlić się do Boga z odkrytą głową? 14 Długie włosy u mężczyzny są czymś sprzecznym z naturą i przynoszą mu wstyd. 15 Kobiecie zaś—wręcz przeciwnie, dodają urody, bo zostały jej dane jako nakrycie głowy. 16 Takie zasady panują we wszystkich kościołach, nie ma więc sensu sprzeczać się o te rzeczy.
Wieczerza Pańska
17 Przekazując te zalecenia, chciałbym poruszyć jeszcze jedną sprawę. Nie mogę was pochwalić za to, że wasze wspólne spotkania zamiast przynosić pożytek, wyrządzają szkodę. 18 Usłyszałem bowiem—i po części temu wierzę—że gdy zbieracie się jako kościół, dochodzi wśród was do podziałów. 19 Zresztą musi dojść do podziałów, bo stanowią one próbę wiary.
20 Wasze spotkania nie mają nic wspólnego z prawdziwą Wieczerzą Pańską. 21 Każdy spożywa bowiem własny posiłek. Niektórzy są jednak głodni, a inni—pijani. 22 Czy nie możecie się najeść i napić w domu? Czemu lekceważycie kościół Boga i upokarzacie biednych, których nie stać na to, aby przynieść coś do jedzenia? Co ja mam z wami zrobić? Pochwalić? Za to na pewno was nie pochwalę!
23 To, co przekazałem wam na temat Wieczerzy, otrzymałem od samego Pana. On, tej nocy, której został zdradzony, wziął chleb, 24 podziękował za niego Bogu, połamał na kawałki i powiedział do uczniów: „Jedzcie! To jest moje ciało, które oddaję za was. Czyńcie to pamiętając o Mnie”. 25 Po posiłku podał im kielich z winem i rzekł: „Ten kielich jest nowym przymierzem, które przypieczętuję przelewając własną krew. Pijcie z niego pamiętając o Mnie”. 26 Zawsze więc, gdy spożywacie ten chleb i pijecie z tego kielicha, ogłaszacie śmierć Pana! Tak będzie aż do czasu Jego powrotu.
27 Jeśli więc ktoś niegodnie spożywa chleb i niegodnie pije z kielicha Pana, grzeszy przeciwko Jego ciału i krwi. 28 Dlatego każdy, kto sięga po ten chleb i kielich, niech osądzi swoje serce. 29 Ten bowiem, kto uczestnicząc w Wieczerzy lekceważy ciało Chrystusa, ściąga na siebie Boży sąd. 30 Z tego właśnie powodu jest wśród was wielu słabych i chorych, a niektórzy nawet umarli. 31 Jeśli jednak będziecie osądzać swoje serca, ominie was ta kara. 32 A gdy Pan nas osądza i karze, czyni to po to, abyśmy nie zostali potępieni wraz z całym światem. 33 Zatem, moi przyjaciele, przychodząc na Wieczerzę Pańską, czekajcie na siebie nawzajem. 34 Jeśli ktoś jest bardzo głodny, niech się naje w domu. Nie pozwólcie, aby z powodu waszych spotkań dotknęła was Boża kara. O pozostałych sprawach powiem wam, gdy do was przybędę.
